Noticed that Dutch and Micah's explanation for "what happened?" was almost word for word the same for both of them. It could very easily be just the game's script in case you see one and not the other, but given what happens later in the game, you could honestly make the argument that the two rehearsed it. Like they planned out a reason why they never went looking for Arthur ahead of time. Just an observation.
I might be wrong but I don’t think you’re supposed to get dialogues from both of them. It depends on the order in which you did missions. I reloaded a save file to get dialogues from both of them.
You'll remember Dutch saves Arthur's life in "Favored Sons" when he could have easily left him to drown. Like, literally, all he had to do was not stick out his hand and Arthur be dead. And that was Chapter 6 where Dutch and Arthur were fighting constantly. I don't see any reason he'd want to kill Arthur in Chapter 3. Dutch also does believe in "no man left behind" for most of the game - see Strauss in Chapter 2, Jack in Chapter 3, Javier in Chapter 5. I think the game is pretty consistent that Dutch cares far more about Arthur than he does any of these people.
Literally just played through this mission last night and was looking to hear what Dutch and Micah would say after screwing me over like that. Thanks for the upload
@@CrytoZ_ButCoolI have to agree with you on that. It was painfully obvious he was gonna end up being the villain almost from the start. I wish he could’ve been more than the guy who was meant to be hated and be a little more interesting. But, that’s how the story ran. That being said, I think Micah’s VA did a great job playing his character (I forget who it was that played Micah)
@@CrytoZ_ButCoolthey were probably expecting us to assume he was gonna be another Trevor type character aka a psychotic lovable asshole who is actually good to those he cares about instead he is a pos from beginning to end of his story
@@artilleriman You can be a cool character and an unlikeable one. (He's arguably unlikeable, but I don't mind him too much during some scenes, even though he does some disgusting stuff) You can be a cool character and also an antagonist. Those aren't mutually exclusive.
Watching this i started thinking: they knew where Arthur was watching them from. They could’ve gone up onto that ledge to look for him, and tracked him down from there and saved him. Just makes me even more pissed at Dutch, cuz anyone else at camp apart from him and Micah would’ve went to look at where arthur was watching from. Rockstar fill every single little hole up, like picking Micah for this mission and I love them for that

@Garuda_31 So it probably is just the game script then. I dunno, I guess after multiple playthroughs, I have trust issues with these two lol
@@fullmetalaustin yeah and I don’t think dutch was in any rush to go and rescue Arthur.

It's very likely just the games script considering they re-use the same Arthur dialogue clips for both interactions.

What I love about scenes like these is the reminder that, as hatable as he is, Micah is still human
You’re entitled to your opinion
Honestly, I still feel like Micah shouldn’t have been the antagonist.
Too… obvious.

No wonder dutch got manipulated by micah. The times when he actually acts and talks nice and civil, he does it very well
Okay I'll catch you later then never gets old🤣
It's so abruptly and bi-polar haha
The one time it’s acceptable to not antagonise 🐀
You can't antagonise there, the conversations camp members start, you can't control.

That’s possibly one of the few times I actually do like Micah
Micah is cool just sad rockstar had to make him the rat /scapegoat

@@artilleriman that sorry was very forced lol. Dutch most likely told Micah to apologize to Arthur.
One of the few times that Micah is a good person.
funny how they both speak the same words Dutch and Micah 😏 as it they planned what they were gonna tell Arthur if he survived...
I've been saying, " Okay, I'll catch you later, then," after serious discussions, irl. 😅😅
“I thought they’d shoot me,” you’ve been riding with us for 6 months tops- they don’t even know you!
