- Welcome back to 'Wing it Wednesday!' today I finally get around to playing Fernbus: Coach Simulator. Much like ETS2 but for coaches.
The Fernbus Coach Simulator is the first simulation of the very popular intercity buses. Thanks to the cooperation with FlixBus the Fernbus Coach simulator shows the daily life of a coach driver on the German Autobahn, highways and in more than 40 cities in great detail.

I love Fernbus! I would recommend this game to anyone seeking a well made, realistically accurate, and fun simulator. Reminds me a lot of my American truck simulator.
Wow... finally a bus sim with clickable cockpit!
There are traffic signs that indicate the right of passage just not on the road that you're headed. The idea is for you to slow down cause of no obvious signs thus preventing speeding. When you do slow down you can spot(on both sides of the road that cuts yours)the back of signs indicating stop or give way by recognising unique reverse triangle or octagon shapes. Obviously it works. It also seems common practice in many EU countries not just Germany. Don't know about US or UK though.

Yellow/White diamond sign means 'Priority' means you have right of way , other traffic must yield to you.
the yellow and white diamond shape sign means right of way, the red and white upside down triangle means give way to the horizontal road: so the road that you are crossing if you would go straight on.

The yellow diamonds on the junctions usually means give way to the right... like a UK roundabout... I could be wrong. Its been 15 years since I last drove in Europe.

The thing where the passengers walk on the bus didn't "get removed" it is just that they used a different game engine when the first made the game and when they moved on to the unreal engine then they had some problems with the coding. Idk but I think they had plans to get those boarding animations back
The reason there are so many people on your bus is that the road system is too difficult for them so they use public transport
For traffic rules: in general the right away is the thing to follow. But in the first intersection, where you asked, you can see a yellow and white diamond. That means that you are on the main road, and don't have to give way to cars coming from either right or left!
Also; the white and red, upside down triangle is, as you probably know cause its the same in england, is "give-way" sign

The White and Yellow diamond sign means you have the right of way. The White and Red upside-down triangle means you must give way. If no sign you default to give way to the Right.

i drove real coaches in real life. the coaches handle quite realistic on the game. they feel a bit off if you not experienced driving coaches as the front steer axle is set back behind the drivers seat. hence they handle the way they do. trucks the steering axle is below the driver.

the bus lowering is called Kneel or kneeling. This actually seems like a pretty interesting game. i wish truck sim was a bit more involved.

In america people also call them Highways and Interstates. Freeway is probably the least used term.

The sign at 16:51 ( white-square, with a yellow center square) means, that particular road has the "Right of way" Until you're otherwise instructed by any other signs.....Or... commonly throughout Europe you have the "Right hand" rule, that means you are required to give way to any trafic comming onto your right hand. This particular sign temporary terminates that rule, for the lenght/junction of which that sign is shown.
MAN! I love their busses in real life. Shame there isn't an irizar by MAN in game.

The words on the bus are: "Mein Fernbus Flixbus" and it means "my intercity bus/coach" and "Flixbus" is the company's name :D
But "MeinFernbus" was an intercity coach company too but merged with Flixbus

@Simul8 They had trafficlights all over the place before but the red light was waiting for you on every corner of the city and made you come late to your first stop. That is probably why they removed some of the lights, but after that the AI traffic is going crazy on the roads
When you see a sign that is yellow with a white serounding on it it means that people has to give way when you see a upside down triangle that is red and white it means that you have to give way
The yellow sign with white around means you get to pass and the other coming from the side need to stop
when you are on a crossroad without any traffic lights. means that the car on the right needs to go first
White and yellow triangle means you have priorities
I do not live in Germany but I live next to Germany, so I have been there a few times and there are traffic lights than you can say

Would be fun to have the same engine for a taxi driving customers. Finally there's a reason to use the leftmost lane then and enjoy the areas where there is no speedlimit ;-). Are there any mods or game for that? I've played ETS but for me the slow movement just does not represent my playstyle. I'd be interested in a game though where you get to drive normal cars.
the snow is probably locked because you are playing in june. you probably have to switch the date to december
