My wife and I always choose to stay in Myeongdong. We stay at the Sheraton Josun which is right on Eulji-ro and Line 2 of the subway (Euljiro 3 Ga). The rooms on the back side of the hotel have a fabulous view of Namsam Tower. Short walking distance to Myeongdong Night Market and Cheonggyecheon, with lots of restaurants and cafes throughout. Only 1 or 2 subway stops to get to Gwangjang Market and DPP, or if you choose you can walk towards them in the underground shopping mall that is parallel to the subway line.
There is restaurant at Séoul station where populaire workers go to have lunch well i love to eat there its a self-service restaurant not expansive so much végétaux o my korean eat à lot of végétaux
My niece and I are planning to travel to Seoul next year for the first time. It will be nice to have a friend/ guide like you. We don't have one but your video help a lot. Thank you for taking time on making this video.
I can recommend two hotels, which are right next to each other near City Hall....the Travelodge (Myeongdong City Hall) and Hotel Thomas, both were excellent and didn't bankrupt me too much.
To get from Incheon Airport to Sheraton Josun at Seoul Station, you just need to take Arex train. I would recommend the express train, rather than the local train that makes many stops. Once at Seoul Station you can get directly to the Check-in at the Sheraton without going outside. There are underground walkways that will take you to the lower level elevator to go to check-in at the Sheraton. If are only staying overnight and plan to travel by train the next day, then this is the right hotel. If you are staying in Seoul for several days, I would recommend staying at the sister hotel - Sheraton Josun Myeongdong. Take subway Line 1 one stop north to City Hall. Get off and transfer to Line 2 and go two stops East to Eulji-ro 3. At this stop go up the escalator at Exit 12. When you reach ground level, turn left and the hotel is right there.
@Nik'sView You can take Bus 261, right in front of Seoul Station. You go 5 stops to Eulji-ro Ga to get off. When you get off you will see a TwoSome Place cafe. Go past that and turn a slight right and you will see the hotel entrance. There is a Starbucks in the lobby - go past that and take the elevator up to the 4th floor check in.
Had my first trip this past Spring. Me and my friends stayed in a really nice AirBNB in Itaewon. It was really nice! And yes, it was quite a walk to the nearest metro stop! Still, it was a really nice area and we enjoyed our stay there!
Thank you for the video. Very informative and will be watching the rest of othet videos. Just booked our flight to Korean next summer. Love to have tips on affirdable accommodations for family of 5. Thanks!
I was I Seoul in April after an 11 hr flight from Honolulu and we stayed in the Myeongdong area at the Pacific hotel. Great location and many places close by. Convenience stores, eating places, Daiso right around the corner. We could not use the Kakao taxi app because we did not have a Korean phone number. We just flagged cabs. I love shopping at Lotte World. Korea fried chicken was really ono! Lots of Japanese tourists in early April. The Cherry Blossoms were beautiful! We were lucky to avoid the yellow dust from China. When that comes in the Spring, air quality is bad!
After having stayed in Hongdae in my first trip, i preferred where we stayed for our second time in Jong-no. It was walking distances to Gwangjang, the palaces, Insadong, and a nice area in Ihwa-dong.
Hello, 🙋♀thanks for your beautiful and unique video.🙏🙏 I like how you classified everything and arranged the most important information for travelers who visit your beautiful country. 👌👌Congratulations!💗💖👏👏👏👏👏 I wish you good luck from Iran! 🙏🙏
Thanks Yong for the very informative video! I was surprised on how pricey the hotels are and also of how fast they get booked. Just wondering if you can give me your thoughts on Hotel Nafore (in Seoul of course) in terms of its location. I'm planning to go to Seoul in October, will be traveling with a 1 year old baby and in terms of price and location, this seems to be the best value hotel I can book. It seems somewhat close to Myeong-Dong and close to subway and I'm trying to limit travel time to attractions and even trying to explore by walking.
Y K F Thanks a lot for the video Planning to visit in early September then to Busan and to Fukuoka Japan Have you done a train trip video in south Korea Tks
Thanks for the great tips on traveling to seoul . I wonder if you can give us information about Gangnam cosmetics clinic and where to stay . Again, thank you.

We plan to visit in late Sept early Oct 2023 you said you may be visiting hotel accommodations if you haven"t yet may you tell us about Stanford Hotel Myeongdong or Solaria Nishitetsu Hotel Seoul Myeongdong. Can we do a day tour to Jeju Island or do we have to stay overnight. Thank you.
Thanks for the recommendations! I'll consider them during my next visit to South Korea. My recent trip I stayed at Yeongdeungpo and it was super easy to travel around. It was walking distance to Times Square.
Very helpful and to the point video! I’m hoping for New Year’s Eve to Seoul, we’re staying a week, so I’m thinking that maybe we should stay in Myeongdong and for New Years Eve in Jamsil to see the fireworks of the Lotte World Tower.
Thanks for taking the time to make this video. Very helpful! I am planning on visiting Korea next week to visit an old Army buddy. He's stationed near Gangnam. I'm looking to stay somewhat close, and Myeongdong looks like a good spot for me. 👍🏻
There are so many different options in quality and price near the palaces, Namsan, and Myeongdong. That central northern area of Seoul seems like the best place to find an accomodation for international travelers. Plus, it's in between all of the attractions, except for Gangnam.
Hi,I am a first timer going to Ehwa Woman University for fan meeting but I am on a budget tour. I chose Philstay Ehwa Boutique because it's near to the FM location. But I am also considering MK Liberty House where it's nearer to Seoul Station. Days before and after FM date, I plan to go Hangang Park, MBC Starpark and also Korean Folk Village. Which of the 2 mentioned guest house would you recommend to me please?
Hi Korean friend Thank you for sharing your video. Communications are important and yours here are clearly clear Im looking forward to visit in Seoul travelling 😆
