And the line that you said that striked you in your soul, yeah, the same for me. I really get emotional on that part as well for some reason. Like he's wishing us not to lose our brightness, our shine. B.I is really one of the great lyricist in the industry! Every song, every lyrics he wrote, one way or the other, anyone can totally relate. His songs tells story that anyone can connect to. Thank you for your reaction & more power to your channel!
It's not a theory. Hanbin said multiples times in his Fancafe that we are his Cosmos and he even gave us Cosmos seeds with our Membership package.

he delivers his songs genuinely and he's passionate about what he's doing. i think that makes us appreciate his existence and music more bcs we know how much effort and love he puts into making the music or anything he's doing. also cosmos is literally the sweetest and perfect title track! 💕

besides the song and Hanbin himself, I love the MV so much ❤
just the idea on the mv, of how he portrayed love in different kinds, there is an owner with his dog, a boy with his granma, a couple, 2 bestfriends, and him with his imaginiation/dreaming of the girl (IDs). He showed that there are many types of love, everyone and everything can be someone's cosmos/universe.
Also he said that at first he didn't believe in forever love, because nothing last forever so how can love last forever?
but when he saw how IDs wait and support him, give all the love for him, he realised that maybe love exists. and so, he made cosmos.

In Korean, it's more romantic. The word 눈부셔 means something that is so Dazzlingly bright and beautiful that you can't look at it fully.... you have to squint because it's so bright and pure. If you were to experience seeing a glowing angel goddess. That would be 눈부셔.
In the M/V they just said don't lose the shine that makes it hard to stare.... but it's more romantic than that translation.
