Both the Dire Maul and UBRS(lbrs?) pulls were because a Roach (literally) was afflicted by Demoralizing shout, which ran and aggro'd the mobs when the debuff faded off. You can see the Roach in Dire Maul evading at 5:00 showing it was pulled, and even though Asmon's camera is blocking good view of the 2nd one, you can see the roach that gets demo'd at 15:54 right before camera pans. It *does* go allllllll the way over to the boss pack.
Edit: didn't finish the video before commenting on the 2nd one, but you can go rewatch the dire maul one at least :)
Yes, 100% this I saw the roach at 16:18 by the rogue name plate. I know this well, because we used to troll each other when doing LBRS runs trying to farm that fire res pot. Damn roaches and rats are allied with the black dragon flight.

Alright, a roach critter social aggroing a pack is hilarious. Just imagine you're out for a stroll one night, and you see a terrified roach run by you. Instinctively, you know that this means there are enemies about.
it is fairly common. had it happen more than once. thankfully it all went well, but made a normal situation scary as hell.
yeah then u see your friends getting slaughtered just about 10 meters away from you and you're like ''Must have been the wind'' just npc aggro things!

Five Fat Finger Exploding Heart Technique
Taking five steps after taking five hits of this ancient technique will cause your heart to explode.

Lefty hits you 5 times and you have to wait out the debuff or you're dead instantly. Kind of crazy and definitely not something most people would remember or even notice
How is it possible that I've never seen this or heard of it before in any other of these videos?
@@Alice_Fumo It's part of the T0.5 dungeon set questline, which was pretty obscure when I played Vanilla. So a lot of the bosses there have a lot of mechanics that are somewhat unknown.
at 1:25 the Mob or boss Lefty applies a debuff called "Five fat finger exploding heart technique" each steps gives 1 debuff after 5 stacks your character takes 5000-7000 damage basically instant death
It's a homage to the movie Kill Bill, where the victim dies after taking 5 steps.
You can do nothing about it ?

to be fair the rogue in the 11:00 min clip deserved to die. he charges in an adds twice the amount of mobs to the fight. the mage made the right call to gtfo

He could've played much, much better, it's true. Buuuut the warriors tanking in his vids have no sense of self-preservation. Reta when you're tanking 2 packs and bringing the garg with silence shout close to the healer? Deserved death, imo.

It makes me wonder how many times in the past that packs have been pulled for absolutely no apparent reason and no one ever understood why
The gargoyles in that area do a fear. The banshees do the aoe silence. Because of the line of sight around that ramp, the healer has to be positioned far back while the tank sits at the top of it to receive heals.

10:56 maybe to be a bit fair to the mage here… the mage was soloing the quest… the rogue invites they join up and then the rogue runs in and pulls two more mobs.
Yeh, I mean, the mage could've at least Nova'd again (cold snap) and spammed "RUN" or something, but the rogue just pulled more for like no reason and expected the mage to AOE, take all aggro, and risk dying? Nuhh equally to blame lmao
@@Metallijosh100 rogue is the only one to blame here. Fighting is not an option. The respawns are endless. The mage did everything perfect, and knew exactly what to do. He even made sure to nova all the mobs the rogue pulled, so the rogue could loot and sprint away with him. 8sec left on sprint, also swiftness pot ready. The rogue did not know that his attempt at fighting was certain death. He could just throw or shoot for tag, and get the loot.
The mage did everything right from the start, and came there with knowledge and a plan. The rogue came in, and put even more risk to the mage, who tried to pull the boss away from the graves, The rogue rushed in and killed the boss right on top of 2 more graves. For what we know, the mage was out of CDs too and no block. He can't know that the rogue did not know. He could only assume the rogue knew this quest and had vanish to escape the endless respawns. Not only that, but he could at least ask the mage on what to do. If the mage stayed to help, he would have no choice but to take all the aggro, and that would kill the mage.

As soon as you accept, they start going crazy and expect you to handle the fallout and magically be back to 100% hp/mana with all cooldowns ready, when you just got out of a fight (if they even give you the time for that).
The only thing that speaks for the rogue is, that he didn't have vanish ready, so he was serious and wanted to go all in.
I had many players who would go hard, just to chicken out as soon as they see how much damage I actually took, after they pulled all that shit in the first place without a plan.

4:35 The reason for spirit of redemption is it still gives 5% spirit for a single talent point which is super strong. That said, IDK if that was in classic or not.

I just started WoW and I genuinely have no clue what is going on in these videos most of the time but they are entertaining and it's good learning too.
You can avoid a lot of deaths by just avoiding playing with streamers.
Don't worry there will always be some bs you've never heard of that will still kill you. Case in point, Asmon learning about that instant death debuff in this video

I always do a couple arcane blasts or a frost nova and see bugs I didn't know were there die in my surrounding. I guess I've been doing things right all along without even knowing.

It seems to me that vanilla has very twisted mechanics, like the one with the rogue who warned the second pack. Things can go wrong almost randomly... super super

I almost died because my party member left me to die after their quest was completed. We pulled 4 mobs 1 died he blinked away and left group

To give you an idea how hard Strathholme is, when the game was released everyone did a 10 man raid for it. There were no 5 mans running it.
Keep in mind spell damage didn't exist yet either, the game was released in a pretty fucked up state.
We're in 1.12 so there is spellpower, and with the knowledge now it's really not that hard to do it with a 5 man group

20 years ago, that was basically no one. Rivendare could easily wipe a 10 to 15 man raid.
And 20 years later, people are still dying to all of the weird stuff in Strath. That final gate lockout. The Roaming gargoyle boss. The Banshee that possesses people. That skeleton aoe zerg. It's a hard dungeon if you have no idea what you're doing.

I would never tank for kungen, ive watched 3 tanks die in his group while hes the healer.
They should've known that safety matters the most.
These videos taught me to always clean everything when I'm tanking for my group =D 30min more for a dungeon > starting from level 1

Taking your eyes off the screen in hardcore is like closing you eyes on the Highway you just don’t do it.
I don’t play hardcore but if I did, and I were a tank, I would totally charge to tank dungeons. Look, it might be a sleezy practice, but at the end of the day I’d be putting my character and invested time on the front line for you. If things go south, I’m most likely the first one to lose their character. I have to trust that healer knows what do. I have to trust that the dps can pump but also watch threat. I have to trust myself to make the right decisions to facilitate a no death run. It’s a lot of responsibility, and it’s not like leveling a warrior is fast, or easy. Especially not when compared to literally any other class. I gotta buy potions, elixirs, bandages, plate armor repair bills, etc.
I disagree with the mage roaching out being a problem. The mage had ONE mob when rogue invited, the rogue then sprints in and aggros 4/5 additional mobs for no reason. The mage nova'd for him and GTFO'd, more than fair IMO.
Never could understand why anyone would want to invest time into a game like this to just inevitably have thier characters deleted.
Because a lot of us have been playing for a long time and this is a way to get some of that old excitement back for the leveling process. Every level, every fight is an adventure now.
