Sorry to be offtopic but does someone know of a tool to get back into an instagram account?? I was stupid lost the password. I love any assistance you can offer me
Just when I think the tour is wrapping up he shows yet ANOTHER beautiful machine being restored. What an outfit! Saying these guys know what they're doing is an understatement. Thanks for the tour.
Thank you Mark. I can't tell you how much I appreciate your videos. A real history lesson from our automotive heritage. When you said the clean room, you meant to say the whole shop facility. Thanks for a great video. Take care.
THE MOST AMAZING VIDEO I HAVE SEEN. I HAVE NEVER EVER SEEN A VIDEO WITH THAT LEVEL, A WORKSHOP FULL OF WORKS WELL DONE, A WORKSHOP THAT IS COMPARABLE WITH AN OPERATING ROOM. SPECTACULAR. EVERYTHING ORGANIZED, EVERYTHING CLEAN, EVERYTHING ORDERED, IS THE SKY OF WORKSHOPS HERE, ON EARTH.
I laid out in the ice & snow, FREEZING & SOAKING WET all day & night until 10pm rebuilding the front suspension & wheel bearings & hubs on my car. Then I see this dream shop! Honestly, today, I would of settled for a carport! Maybe 1 day I can build my own garage, HOPEFULLY!!!??? THIS SHOP IS SPECTACULAR! KILLER CONTENT!
Just amazed at the knowledge and talent. My dad would eat this up if still with us. Born in 1922 he saw so much of this development, well at least the post 1935 or so. Now I know why he talked fondly of this era. He only owned the common man cars of course but he knew of these cars.
I,ve been in a lot of shops and yours just blows them all into the weeds. Fantastic range of equipment and real nice to see all those fabulous cars being restored.
absolutely great , these cars found the place they deserve to be . fabulous to see all these amazing cars in all there parts and what incredible work being done thanks
a shop where dreams becomes reality !!!! a very nice shop an two aspects brings me confidence, the work organisation and the cleaniness of all departments
I've worked in car restoration, but not to this level! I have had the pleasure (no sarcasm, it was a privilege) to work on a restored 31 cadillac V12 roadster which had multiple issues with running and braking and was able to fix pretty much all of it to the point the care was not only drivable, but reliable. learned a lot about how companies designed ignition, charging and braking systems on that one. Great video, such a wonderful shop, thanks for making this!
This is the cleanest shop I've seen. Very impressive. 1910 is a Hemi-who would've thought? Would love to see and hear some dyno runs on these great engines.
Sadly tv shows are oriented around fake drama, thank Aaron Spielberg for that, shows that focus on actual quality don't rate on production company radar
Every now and again I watch this video. I am fascinated by the amount of work you have going on, as well as the technical expertise at your disposal. Makes me wish I had the $$$$ to purchase on of your restored Auburn Boat Tails...or a Packard or two!
Wish I knew how to do body work..... We have a few Model T, A, 40s, 50s Fords and Studebakers laying around. While they are blue collar cars I still think their styling is great. Great show BTW I just discovered this and will be sharing with my Dad who is also a Classic auto enthusiast. We currently own a perfect 1932 Chevrolet sedan restored by my Great late Uncle Joe.
I have already subscribed to this, and am glad I have. You look like you really enjoy your business, and have a lot to look forward to in the years to come. I cannot imagine ever leaving this business, were it mine. You are clearly a devotee of restoring old classic cars,& I can see how you have retained customers over the decades. Looks like a fun occupation, with great attention to detail and authenticity. Perhaps some day I will come visit your business. Thanks for the tours!
That 34 Cadillac 355D (looks to be a 128" wb) town car brings back a few memories from the one I restored in the early 90's, it was quite the job to find some pieces like original tail lenses but was a nice car once finished.
That looks like a dream job for a car guy who loves the classics. When I was a teenager I almost bought a Model A Roadster. I wish I had bought it, but it was in pieces and I didn't have a garage.
Amazing shop and projects , I Love it . I work at the San Diego Air and Space Museum but I would much rather work at Your shop . Airplanes are cool but I am a car guy at heart . Thanks for all Your great videos .
What I want to know is how you got cameras past Saint Peter. That's how clean I want my shop in the next life. That's just how I always imagined it would be. 👏 👌😉
Such an informative site. Well written (or should I say great extemporaneous narration) and most informative. Each show teaches me something new as well as answering many questions I've always had about the restoration process. Excellent, and among the very best, if not the best, of classic car sites. Your intimacy with every aspect of a vehicles construction is obvious, and the graceful ease of your presentation is rare indeed. And you seem to like Robert Frost, a real virtue in my book! Keep up the great work.
Many thanks. Some have said I'm the Bob Ross of car restoration. I caught one of his episodes on TH-cam recently. I'm going to have to put a happy little nut on that happy little bolt sometime.
When I win the powerball I know who will get all my car restoration business! Now to talk you into A motorcycle resto department!! Good luck in your future projects!
As a Model A Ford owner - '29 Phaeton - I would very much like to see and hear more about the overhead cam/valve head mentioned at the beginning of the video.
Look for Rod and Custom magazines from the ealy to mid 70's. They ran a comprehensive series of articles on OHV conversions for A,B Fords and V8's such as the HAL,(as seen here) Cragar ,etc and the ARDUN OHV conversion for Fords V8.
I HAVE SEEN MANY AUTOMOTIVE SHOPS. & ENGINE OVERHAUL'S BUT THIS SHOP IS SO NICE & THE QUALITY VEHICLES & IN MY OPPINION, THE BEST I HAVE SEEN ONLINE PERIOD! I AGREE, THIS SHOP NEEDS IT'S OWN TV SHOW!!! MAN, WHAT A PLACE! IT'S LIKE I HAVE DIED & GONE TO HEAVEN!!!
Some amazing old classics and engineering marvel's. I wonder how much square footage your facilities cover and number of employees to be working on so many projects. Nice to see this walk through.
The Packard 12 display engine sounds interesting. I think it would be even more interesting if it was fully assembled on one cylinder bank and unassembled on the opposite side. That way people could get an understanding of how some of the very old engines worked.
THAT MAN HAS THE BEST JOB IN THE WORLD!!! RESTORING BRILLIANT ART; ENGINEERING; DESIGN; AND A WONDERFUL PIECE OF HISTORY SHOWING WHEN THE US WAS A REAL FREE AND UNENCOMBERED AUTO BUILDERS WITH NO RESTRAINT ON EMISSIONS OR SAFETY RESTRICTIONS. SUCH AS BUZZERS GOING OFF TO DRIVE YOU NUTS. I GREW UP IN THE LATE 30'S40S NEXT DOOR TO A FUNERAL HOME THAT OWNED TWIN 1937 PACKARD'S.ONE A LIMOUSINE V12 AND A HENNY PACKARD V12 HEARSE. THE LIMO ALSO DOUBLED AS AN AMBULANCE WHICH HAD A SIREN AND USED TO TRANS PORT MENTALLY CHALLENGED PATIENTS TO THE ASYLUM.I SNUCK INTO THE GARAGE ONE DAY AND CLIMBED INTO THE LIMO/AMBULANCE /THEY SAW ME DO IT AND AS I WAS SITTING IN THE DRIVERS SEAT THEY SET OF THE ALARM SCARED ME TO DEATH AND ISTARTED TO CRY WHALING AWAY WITH THE SIREN. ONE DAY THEY WERE GETTING READY FOR A FUNERAL AND TOLD ME TO GET IN THE LIMO AS THEY HAD TO GAS IT UP AND GOT A RIDE FOR A MILE OR SO AND BACK. LUXURY AT ITS BEST AS THE FLOOR WAS INLAID WITH 8 IN. OF MARBLE TO ADD WEIGH SO AS TO MAKE IT RIDE SMOOTH.
needs a vid to show how he keeps it so clean and cleans parts. a huge job and expense if you do it with any kind of enviromental care, I used to tell my Dad when he had his shop, I'm not a mechanic I'm a parts cleaner, truth is inspection while cleaning usually tells wear patterns and if you need machining or not.
DOHC head for a Model A or B block. Same DOHC setup as a Model J Deusenberg. No surprise there, all the high performance guys back then knew each other, knew what worked, and knew what each was doing.
That Cord with the straps would be a great Bonneville speed car project. Make it Rear Wheel Drive on a custom frame. RCR Nascar 900 h.p. carbed engine. Boogie Boogie Boogie!
Wonderful facility, great engines and cars. Can you tell me if the 1935 Packard Super Eight engine has been modified or did they come with a cam belt rather than a chain in that year?
Mark, I bet you have an interesting history concerning you and how you got involved in Restoring Autos. Where did you get all of this experience and knowledge? What a wonderful business you enjoy as a job. Thanks for the video but there is a problem ya know. We need more videos!!! I have to keep watching reruns, lol. KEEP EM COMING BUDDY and thanks !!!
I have so much film already in the can on so many restorations, but editing takes way too long. I need an editor and I can send out a lot of great stuff.
If I recollect correctly, you said in this or one of your videos that you were going to put new innards in the third member. Is that sort of thing allowed in the antique restoration field? What sort of modifications and or upgrades are allowed so as not to be knocked points in a show judging? Keep up the nice work, it is appreciated. JIM
Highly impressive workshop, floors one can eat off. This should be an example to workshops with filty oily floors where one literally has to change shoes before getting into one's car. If done regularly, it really doesn't take much effort to keep a workshop and the floors clean.
Incredible cleanliness. A pure pleasure to watch. Thank you
Sorry to be offtopic but does someone know of a tool to get back into an instagram account??

Yes, THANK YOU for posting these interesting videos!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Wow! Cleaner than a paper hanger. Your business model probably just as clean. Beautiful and important work. Thanks for the tour.
the people who work here must be outstanding, just from what we can see . love to see this place humming with activity
Amazing shop there, really impressive setup.
That's got to be the cleanest all around Auto Body Shop I've ever seen! Shows a lot of pride in their work.
I just found your channel.......all I can say is WOW. Glad there are folks like you to preserve this stuff.
Welcome aboard!
I laid out in the ice & snow, FREEZING & SOAKING WET all day & night until 10pm rebuilding the front suspension & wheel bearings & hubs on my car. Then I see this dream shop! Love it!!! True pros!!! I wish to work for you guys! Love how the place is so clean!

I,ve been in a lot of shops and yours just blows them all into the weeds. Fantastic range of equipment and real nice to see all those fabulous cars being restored.
Absolutely amazing! I wish I had the talent & patience it takes to restore old "items", it's so satisfying when it's done.
Fantastic shop and workmanship! Thanks for sharing.
absolutely great , these cars found the place they deserve to be . fabulous to see all these amazing cars in all there parts and what incredible work being done thanks
a shop where dreams becomes reality !!!! a very nice shop an two aspects brings me confidence, the work organisation and the cleaniness of all departments
Fantastic shop. I'm amazed at the projects you are currently working on.
I absolutely love your shop! Your meticulous attention to detail, professionalism, even cleanliness is superb. Very glad to be a subscriber!
Thank you very much!
It must be wonderful to go to work every day, all those historic cars, nice shop, good working environment and quality machines to do the work.
Must like making payments to the bank too.
Great tour of your projects! I could watch an update video like this every day!
I've worked in car restoration, but not to this level! what a super guy and a great workshop only in the USA
Just an incredible shop! Thanks for the tour
I think its amazing that he knows so much about all the different engines, A very smart guy.
Excellent video, looking forward to more! It was nice to see the humble Model A's among the fancy cars. (I have a '29)
This was the most incredible tour of anything I have ever seen. It's not a shop. It's a lab.
Love how organized buildings are . That says volumes about how you approach each project.
It really is! I cannot work any other way.
This is the cleanest shop I've seen. Very impressive. 1910 is a Hemi-who would've thought? Would love to see and hear some dyno runs on these great engines.
Incredible collection of cars, shop like a surgical center in a hospital. Amazing. Beyond amazing.
Really enjoyed the tour. Excellent work.
This place needs its own reality TV show. Just gorgeous! :)
Far too much professionalism for a reality show.
@@InsideOfMyOwnMind Not to mention a pleasant disposition. It'd be hard to fabricate drama with this guy on camera. :)
TH-cam "reality" content is better, I don't care for the drama on TV. This fella does have a great speaking voice and holds my attention. Subscribed.
Reality TV shows or Internet shows are too much drama for a normal person.
Sadly tv shows are oriented around fake drama, thank Aaron Spielberg for that, shows that focus on actual quality don't rate on production company radar
Craig Auckram
Great Viewing, Old Spanner man, love your work nice to see a clean shop and all the hard work that really make me happy to see
That's the largest collection of old engines in work I've ever seen. Great to get the old girls back on the road!
very enjoyable to watch shop tour!
Every now and again I watch this video. I am fascinated by the amount of work you have going on, as well as the technical expertise at your disposal. Makes me wish I had the $$$$ to purchase on of your restored Auburn Boat Tails...or a Packard or two!
This is an impressive operation. It is one of few that does every aspect of the vehicle under one roof.
Wish I knew how to do body work..... We have a few Model T, A, 40s, 50s Fords and Studebakers laying around. While they are blue collar cars I still think their styling is great. Absolutely awesome tour video Mark. Thanks for sharing.
My pleasure!

Wow,got to be the cleanest automobile facility on God's green earth, thanks for the tour !
That looks like a dream job for a car guy who loves the classics. When I was a teenager I almost bought a Model A Roadster. I wish I had bought it, but it was in pieces and I didn't have a garage.
Wow never knew half of those engines existed, great work and workshop
Wow! Very nice shop. I just stumbled upon your channel.
Amazing shop and projects , I Love it . I work at the San Diego Air and Space Museum but I would much rather work at Your shop . Airplanes are cool but I am a car guy at heart .

Wow, amazing place and what a nice guy!
What I want to know is how you got cameras past Saint Peter. That's how clean I want my shop in the next life. That's just how I always imagined it would be.

I thank u for the video,so interesting,dream shop,surgical clean,the engines and the body restorations,super,super,super,
Oh my! This shop is cooller than Willy Wonka's place.
Daaaam, what a facility! These guys can build anything from scratch!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻. I had no idea there were so many Cords still in existence.
We always have at least 4 Cords under restoration.
I agree with Mr Collins, what a great place! Wish I could get a job in that woodshop.
Awesome shop tour,thanks
great video of a great workshop with great projects
When I win the powerball I know who will get all my car restoration business! Now to talk you into A motorcycle resto department!!

wicked cool workshop , but that Cord would make one killer hotrod !
Some amazing old classics and engineering marvel's. I wonder how much square footage your facilities cover and number of employees to be working on so many projects. Nice to see this walk through.
what an incredible operation. it must have taken years to develop a reputation to get that much top quality work.
Thank You....
By the way this is a great video and I am amazed at the work you do.
Paint, water or solvent based ? Thanks for the tour, ya got a Motor City boy drooling !
👍👌👏😊❤️ Thanks for this video

Absolutely brilliant,a big boys [girls too] toy box ,and thank you for no annoying background "music" ,maybe a little quiet jazz ?
If I recollect correctly, you said in this or one of your videos that you were going to put new innards in the third member. Is that sort of thing allowed in the antique restoration field?
What sort of modifications and or upgrades are allowed so as not to be knocked points in a show judging?

JIM
No answer? Why?
TO USE THE WORD "BRILLIANT" WOULD BE AN INSULT! ...YOU ARE BEYOND BRILLIANT! ....WHAT AN AMAZING MAN!! ...MY RESPECT!
Your too kind.
I wouldnt be game to eat my lunch in any of those rooms, those magnificent engines
What a cute and adorable and brave little girl , Bless her little heart .
WOW...How did you get your start into this. Incredible
Wow awesome 👍🏾🤙🏼

Incredible!
All those projects, how many staff is working on all this?
so how do you keep Jay Leno out of your shop every day?
