I've had the awesome fortune of watching this master a couple of times at our Winnipeg Folkfest. The best was when my wife and I ended up sitting next to him and his wife at dinner! Starstruck!! When he jammed with others at the festival, he was pretty much the meistro!

I volunteer at Hillside Festival in Guelph and was posted backstage for Matt's performance. The tent filled up and a crowd grew on the walkway behind the stage. Matt's 50 minutes became an hour fifteen because the applause wouldn't stop. Even the act waiting to perform marveled at him. Seen him play a couple of times since and he wowed us each time. Cool guy, too-- hangs around at the merch table after to chat and sign autographs.
