Your 2V dome is so beautiful and creative! Your explanations are crystal clear and enjoyable. Thank you so much for this video. What is so nice is to use simple flat disks as nodes and flat bars with slots as the connectors. All is flat! This avoids the trouble of dealing with creating angles in the node. The slots in the bars are the ones that are angled.

thanks very much. I am former student from Buckminster Fuller at University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, class of 1975.Your model and presentation is wonderful with child like genius.Im going to buy a kit from you. I just made an agreement today for a small design studio in Berlin, where I live. Thanks again
If you go to a hobby shop and buy a few different types of clear color plastic you could put low wat timing light for different effects or music lighting effects. It would look good on a table or with the right wall mount it may look nice as well.
I guess im randomly asking but does any of you know of a trick to log back into an instagram account..? I stupidly forgot the login password. I appreciate any tricks you can offer me.
@Jordy Judson thanks for your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im trying it out now. I see it takes quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
@@fablabmakerhub Check out the geodesic domes I build! I invented a new type of hub (discovered them really) and have been building them for the last four years. Tell me what you think! Cheers.
@@fablabmakerhub Thanks! I am also a part of a group that is trying to start a maker space in Waukesha Wisconsin. Is your channel associated with a maker space or a larger maker network?
Sorry Facebook has never been a big draw for us. We have other projects we work on and use Twitter and Instagram mostly. Check out @leo_scarff_design and @joincreativeheartlands on Instagram for more up to date posts. Glad you liked the video (even though it’s 3 years old).
@@fablabmakerhub Thanks for the reply, but I have yet to use Twitter, or Instagram. Not sure I am ready to open another account since it would mean spending more time with yet another bunch of distractions. As if I don't have too many already. I don't recall every being notified of your reply. The way the kit is construction would suggest the best possible scheme taking advantage of the better way to align the wooden struts. The connectors would need to be very thick plywood if the construction scheme was preserved rather than using a metal connector design. I am thinking greenhouse.
Hi Don - Our dome kit can now be purchased from Leo Scarff, the original designer of this model. Leo's webshop can be found at www.leoscarffdesign.com/shop/product/geodesic-dome/

May í have photo of both struts please and measures?

So we can do the hubs with an bent iron rod (like a flower) and the struts with bamboo and kablamo! We have a big dome!
If you do make a big dome like that we would love to see it! Good luck.
@@fablabmakerhub hoping for an opportunity but will keep you updated! Thank you for your great work and video!

Went to facebook with address provided, but not finding much to look at. Your video is 3 years old, but facebook looks to be undeveloped.
