I purchased the plans for the 11m geodesic dome, and scaled it down to 4m for a test run. The angles, measurements, and absolutely everything worked terrifically. I am very pleased with the result.

Paul...Thank you for sharing the wealth of knowledge that you have on domes! I have been researching them for years in the hope of talking my husband into living in one when we retire. I started with the geodesic domes but ended up liking the monolithic's better. Is there any knowledge you can share on those builds? I'm one year away from moving, retiring and starting a new build, so time is running out quickly. Either way I appreciate your open source sharing...B

Have you done any more ideation on the trussed 3V dome idea? (I mean the one that is self-supporting due to the trussing.) I did some thinking about that model, and it seems that if that were to be done using wanger flanges, it would take an extremely large number of flanges. I'm curious to hear about anything you have done with that concept.

    Thanks, Paul.
I’ve just had a quick binge-watch of your dome videos; I love the detail that you provide in the designs.
I do have a question, though: In your intro video (where you showed a ‘typical’ dome home) you mentioned how knocking out panels to create doors, windows, chimney, etc weaken the structure; and implied that buttressing that section would then cause aerodynamic issues. Do you know if there is any (very general) guidelines on the reduction of a dome’s integrity per panel that is removed? Or whether one type of panel provides more or less integrity than another. And whether certain types of dome (2 freq., 9 freq.) are more structurally sound that others.
I know that materials, build quality and a ton of other factors affect each dome, but I’m just wondering whether you know of any studies that have been done on this but the results are simplified enough for a layman to understand.
    It’s a big question, I know, but I hope there is a simple answer somewhere. : )
    Thanks Paul.

Hi Paul, thank you for the awesome set of plans. I checked out the zip file for the wagner flanges, the dxf seems to not be flattened. I was going to try to laser cut and precision bend a few flanges for a mountain greenhouse. Are you able to update with a .step and or a flattened .dxf file? Thank you from Maine USA!

For the unity dome, what do you think is the largest size it would be scaled out to and still keep the same size triangles ( 2x triangles for a 4x8 sheet of polycarbonate)
I just found your site recently and your work is awesome!!
