You Need One of These

You could make a pretty good case that most of my shop is made from leftovers, recycled bits, used, and reused items... and junk. I spend a lot of my time trying to turn some of that junk into usable tools, with varying degrees of success. You could also say--and you'd be right--that I have more board feet of scrap wood in my shop than any real lumber.
Occasionally, I'll find a use for some of the junk I have laying around, and it is especially rewarding when I am able to successfully turn some of said junk into something useful.
I put together this little stop to help solve the lack of a vise or proper workbench. I have some projects coming up that require some planing, and I think this little bench accessory is going to help. And it may answer, in part, the old shop question, "How do I build a workbench, without a workbench?"

Its a planing stop. It fits into a dog hole to butt stock against for planing. I'll be using it in some upcoming videos. Thanks for watching and for asking!

I love watching things involving wood working, but lack any real skills in it myself .So somethings just kinda go over my head when I see them done. Love your stuff btw these videos are relaxing for me to watch and help me get a good nights sleep. No idea why it's so relaxing but I just enjoy a nice restoration or build video.
