  • This is my experience. Please be careful when buying from international sellers.

This is why I try to avoid buying and/or selling anything international if I can help it......The shipment changes WAY too many hands, stuff gets lost in-translation, stuck in customs, damages, theft, etc......I actually shipped a custom-Grimlock to a guy in Australia a few years ago & it was shipped to the wrong city & nearly lost-forever, but thankfully he was able to back-track & find it.....and that was like a $300 shipment, scared the hell outta me. Just too much can happen between here & there unfortunately & you definitely gotta weigh the risks....

It's almost 2020 and you would think you shouldn't have a problem shipping internationally. Especially when they charge an arm and a leg when you ship outside the US. I have purchased a couple of lucky draws from Japan and I was stressed the entire time until it got here.😂😫

Thanks for the warning and the details. I've run into a few bad eBay transactions myself over the years. It pays to be extra careful when purchasing products online.

It’s great to see you posting videos again. I remember watching your Micro Change Black Megatron video a few years ago. Cheers M

Thank you so much for the comment! It has been a very difficult year for me. I have suffered a lot of losses due to the pandemic! I hope to get back to posting really soon!

I buy a lot from China and I noticed that established sellers who haven't sold in a while are having their accounts hacked and selling rare toys. The qualities available and their past feedback on what they were selling before can some time help you identify trickery.

I never had issues with Chinese ebay sellers until recently. I just started collecting transformers and was also tempted by the low prices on eBay. Particularly a Studio Series Long Haul that was selling for 29.99.
I knew if something was wrong ebay would refund and low and behold the item says it’s removed so I contacted eBay and they refunded immediately stating that the tracking number was not legitimate.
Even after the case was closed I followed the tracking and it eventually said delivered. The orangeconnex company even gave me a working USPS tracking number when I asked for it. Long story short USPS says it was delivered but I have received nothing. Obviously I can’t be mad because I’m already refunded but at the same time I’m wondering if there was actually a package and if so I’m gonna be pissed if someone stole it

US sellers are the worst option for Australian buyers.
The postage will be twice the cost of the item because of eBay’s global shipping program.

Just want people to know I have been scammed by US sellers too. Especially here recently I was scammed by a US seller. It doesn't matter the race! A crook is a crook no matter ethnicity!!👍🏼😁

What happened to me recently is not transformers toys, but I bought a Toronto Raptors championship hat from Amazon the seller was in China though and I never received it, I ended up contacting Amazon and I got my money back, then when I updated my phone, I bought a new case for it on amazon and once again from a Chinese seller and it never showed up I did get my money back and I bought the new phone case from amazon within days after ordering it since it was local.
I always wanted to try buying transformers from a Chinese seller, not now I usually get transformers from Toy Dojo, BBTS but I only bought symbols stickers from them so far and manly more I bought from TF source, I also bought from Amazon US and Canada and local Walmart and Toys R Us

Hmm, time for my input: had an issue with, also a Chinese seller, over a TLK Voyager Prime at slightly lower than premier Voyager MSRP (29.99 -> 26.99)+free shipping over this past summer. Same deal, good standing account, fair pricing, years of selling with positive feedback. A week goes by, nothing, contact them, no response, another few days roll by, the listing disappears along with ALL their other dozens as well. The neg feedbacks start to pile up too. Eventually I did get my refund about, like you said, a month later after the allotted window for rectification ends. So things I’ve noticed: Chinese seller with lowered prices, immediate orange flag, only uses STOCK IMAGES in listings pulled from obvious older website’s thumbnails, (noticeable jpeg compression) RED FLAG, regardless of the “positive feedback that may have been fabricated anyway based on their oddly stiff, copy paste feeling wording. That was the first and last time I’ll let that happen. Only in-hand pics are what truly sell it for me and as a seller too, I always list with a telltale carbon fiber background so my followers know, yes, this is me and my work. Thank you for helping spread this word too!

Thank you for you comment! Sadly this issue is more common than I thought. I am glad you got your money back!
