I honestly like shorter adventures the older I get. Like, To bring it back to Zion's new favorite game, if I start a new game+ with Chrono Trigger, it's less time I need to spend on grinding if I needed to in the original run through. So having a game that I could play in a day and complete sounds more fun to me. Now excuse me as I go be old elsewhere.
This game looks like a great time, I love Zelda and am always curious to check out each of it's spiritual contenders. It's too bad the story only sounds so-so, but maybe that's something they can brush up a bit in their next title. I do like the looks of the big towns, I imagine I'll spend a good bit of time just walking around talking to everyone and looking at everything!
As an adult that has not that much time to play as I would want the short playing time is a indeed a plus (just as long as it is priced accordingly). Might get this as I like the top-down Zelda genre
There are already some good alternative Zelda Games out there, doing things better then this Game. For examle: -Oceanhorne -Blossom Tales -Tunic (coming out in march)
good game that shows promise, I hope they learn a lot from the creation and feedback on this one and make the next adventure in that world or a new one just that bit more indepth. use puzzels and have a more interesting character driven plot being the main thwo
@@mrhappy623 even those tend to be few and far between. The most Zelda content we saw in a shorter period of a few years was during the mid-to-late 3ds/Wii U era. We got remasters and ports and new titles alike, then we got botw and all we’ve seen besides new trailers for the sequel was warriors dlc
@@corbinmoore96 I mean if you do include spinoffs and remasters we did get hyrule warriors, link's awakening, cadence of hyrule, age of calamity and skyward sword HD all after botw so it sort of evens out as yearly. I'm honestly more surprised that they called bloodstained ritual of the night as a genre that "you don't see anymore".
I wish they would re-release 3D Dot Game Heroes on a modern platform like the Switch, since Scott the Woz pretty much gave it more recognition with his theme song.
Kinda shocked this indie game got a full review where a pixelart top down zelda-like like UNSIGHTED only got a written one (and which also has a much more unique sci-fi aesthetic compared to this looking basically like minish cap like you said in the review)

First off, Zelda is not an annual franchise... we get a real new zelda game every 3-6 years... the rest are remakes, ports, spin offs... even game LIKE Zelda are far in between, and most of them not half as good as Zelda... while we get a Bigazilion metroidvanias and firs person horror game every year. So when i see Zelda-likes coming out, and good ones, might i had, i can only applause it and be super enthousiastic!

Good lord... I like Zelda-like games, but some of these things are just absolutely shameless. The UI, animations, a lot of the sprites... it is just wholesale ripping off older 2D Zelda games. Homage is totally cool, but there's a line where things start to just look a bit like plagiarism.
Garbage and a waste of money... lack of detail: it only has a little bit of graphical details. Which isnt fair tbh. Like you dont know where your going or which way is which. Lack of map detail makes it more difficult to figure out. Taking survival aspect: they need to calm down and quit putting survival in the games. It doesnt need it. The game requires you to eat and craft to survive. It doesnt need that. Made by a cheap ass developer making cheap games. They made some basic games. Quests dont provide enough informations. Its missing some details. It seems like they rushed through the game.
My biggest issue with the game is the graphics. It doesn’t say anything about the game’s actual quality, it’s just that the visuals look undeniably cheap.

Felix is a natural! The game doesn't look to enticing, the characters and sprites look super rough in the footage shown here.

The game is fun, so I would say it's worth it. But if you don't enjoy fun you might want to pick up balan wonderworld instead

I watched the preview on NL but it looked like the combat wasn't that fun - the graphics look good though.
I enjoyed it but the lack of direction on the map and quest guide did spoil this for me!
