Well, you got close: on the DVD release of 2F2F, there's a short film that fills the gap between the first and second movies. Paul Walker actually drives a bright red Mitsubishi 3000GT in it.
The Yenko Camaro and the Challenger fit the characters that were driving them. One thing I'd like to see discussed is the body count. Some of the wrecks, especially in 2F2F and Fast 5, would have been deadly in real life. In Fast 5 20-30 cops "died". Yeah, I know it's a movie and disbelief is supposed to be suspended. But some of the crash sequences would have been, bloody, gory messes had they been real.

My friend worked for Shamrock Auto in North Miami. It’s Owned by a husband, wife and their two sons. My friend was one of the workers and helped out doing redoing the interiors for the movie. He was working on the pink S2000.. Good quality work. Small little place.
Tyrese brought so much to these movies and just continues to delight us, I’m really glad they took notice of his tastes when it came to the cars and didn’t just tell him to STFU and do what he was told and getting paid for.

Mitsu could revive the eclipse as a small, cheap electric sports car. We don't have any cheap electric sports cars on the market. Kids would buy them, I guarentee.

Having the big wheel gaps on the first 'hero car' was perfect. It looks like it was thrown together in a hurry or It was built by a poser. Which is perfect for how it was used.
No matter what anyone says it was lame. It was build for him by the police to infiltrate the racers, then he went there acting like he belongs there, but he was just a cop in disguise.. He knew nothing about racing. It's like a rich kid getting a brand new expensive car, but he is still a noob. Brian's green Eclipse is not a bad design imo, but it's not exactly legendary status like his Skyline or that Supra from the first movie.
@Budget Boost DIY I wouldn't call any of the cars in the movie rice. In real life some of them kind of are, like the black heist civics, with only body kits, but in the movie it's implied imo that all of their cars are modified in some way to make them faster. Even in the movie that green Eclipse was sought after at that night race event. Everyone loved it, Jesse was all over the parts. Kinda personal taste after that. I like it, but i liked Dom's RX7 a bit more.
It wasn't Coral Springs the car was in Cape Coral, FL!! There was a Police Officer that had the car and drove it around. I lived in Fort Myers at the time which is the next town over. When 2Fast came out the car was sitting at the Bell Tower movie theater and of course, we were freaking out an actual car from the movie. I think they let the guy drive in that big "confuse the cops" scene with about 100 different cars. To us, it was a huge deal even though the car was a total dud performance-wise.

The only new muscle cars that I really like are the Challengers. They’re the only ones that look like a classic muscle car anymore. I have a ‘05 Mustang GT, which in my opinion looks like a late 60’s model.
@@Lamtitude Yeah, the retro throwback styling for the 05 Mustang (Though that car having a V6 rather than a V8 sucks) and the Challenger look great and stay 100 percent to the roots of their predecessors. They're like the only ones that did that 2000s era retro throwback styling of American Card well. Every other attempt (Plymouth Prowler, Chrysler PT Cruiser, Ford Thunderbird, etc.) was pretty much a dud aside from *maybe* the Charger and Camaro.
This car is riced out, but the 3g eclipse is still cool, you can still boost it and basically have a torquier 4g63, (they come with a 4g64) or you can drop a 3.8L mivec from a 4th gen, which will give you a 300hp stock motor, put boost on it, tune it, you've easily got 400.. people sleep on these cars.. which is good for us young guys, im happy they didn't do well because these things are a ton of fun and pretty reliable too. Great first car for anyone getting into tuning.
Atleast they made fun of the "toybox" cars that could have been "won in a cereal box". This sort of alleviates the problematic 'being of the car in the movie'.
I'm a of the MR2... Especially the 2nd gen.. I had a buddy that had 3 sw20s at one point and I wish I grabbed one...however that 3rd gen got such a small amount of screen time... I loved the silver MR2 leaving the scramble.. well done, but that car would have been pretty cool

I own a 3rd Gen Eclipse and it has been a great car...the purple paint on the movie Eclipse with the 20" rims looked stupid..they have should lowered it and tucked the wheels In and ditched that ridiculous huge wing. The 4th Gen eclipses were the worst...especially from the rear...although the ground effects package did improved the appearance.
Saw the movie in theater last showing of the night with friends when it came out. Everyone left the theater hyped and cruised town racing lights for hours. We were in a mustang GT with supercharger hood scoop. Good times. Smoked a 911.
