    You can hear the anger and just dismay in his voice telling this story; always loved Craig especially in the special features of all the early F&F DVDs.

    Mom didn't understand why it was a big deal, especially to the car community. Best analogy I ever came up with was our generation's James Dean. Yeah, the movies were corny, and fake, but he/they did the best to make Hollywood happy too.
    RIP Paul.

    How did the fast and furious community react to paul walker’s death? Over here in Brisbane Australia we had a memorial cruise, which was absolutely the biggest car cruise i have ever seen, we had every venue we went to was over filled with thousands of cars flowing out onto the streets for kilometres, we had police escorts in groups up the motorway with people watching on bridges and overpasses. Was absolutely incredible and to this day have never seen anything like it in the car community.

    I've told people, dad introduced me to cars but Paul Walker made me love them.
    He's the reason I kept going at my lowest points and even when he's gone, he still is what I strive to be for others. He got me into JDM cars (although I have yet to buy one) and love both the R34 and the MKIV. No doubt about it the first F&F movie made me love both JDM and American Muscle, but Paul Walker made me love the cars and the people.
    Thank you, Paul. Rest in peace brother. Ride safe. We'll meet sometime soon.

    In my opinion, the car scene and gatherings went pretty much died right after Paul Walkers death. We were all close together to pay tribute to him when we heard the news (especially when the last F&F movie he stared in released in theaters) but after that, it went downhill ever since. Nowhere near the same anymore. I go to a couple local town car shows, and that’s really it. So many different things ruined it.

    One thing I hope Vin Wiki with Car Trek and everything take away from this is the cannonball runs and all that are fun, and think in control until you hit some marbles and take out somebody else.
    Responsible driving isnt protecting yourself, it is about protecting those in and around you car when something unforseen happens. Enjoy driving, but do it at your risk, not anothers.

    • @GamerMarine89
      @GamerMarine89 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I know what your saying but at the same time, don't leave your house then, people are gonna have negative impacts on those around them even when not trying to, it's life shitty things happen, yes it's avoidable sometimes, other times it's not, just enjoy your life and be cautious and vigilant of your surroundings and you'd be fine.

    • @russelljacob7955
      @russelljacob7955 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@GamerMarine89 It isnt about risk elimination, it is about risk mitigation, also known as due dilligence. Enjoy your life, but not to the extent you create a significant hazard for others. Is why while I like and appreciate exotic and hypercars? The illegal time run cannonballers I dislike. That is because it is usage of vehicles in a public environment in such a way it is creating hazard and risk to others beyond what is reasonable and exceeding the margins for safety.
      Yes, accidents happen. The limits and safety factors as such designed so that in normal circumstances, no permanent injuries occur in an incident. Even if your vehicle is designed to take an impact on the track, a car that pulls out in front cause are doing 150 in a 70 might not be.
      ATGATT, cause if/when I crash my bike? Then the next day I can go out riding still.
      And that is the unfortunate take away. Craig and other can say "was gravel on the road, but also said it, "should have known better" Cause you cant enjoy anything when you are permanently impaired or dead. And this story? It wasnt PW's fault either.

    Ya know I can't help but think🤔. That at the time before they crashed Paul was most likely afraid that they might wreck. He probably wanted to tell the driver to slow the fuck down. But bit his tongue do to the consequences he might have had to face. First being the main character in the fast and the furious saga. He probably thought his friend would tell everybody he was scared. That his reputation known as a fearless fast and furious outlaw in the F&F movies. Knowing his career and the sags would suffer when the public caught wind of Paul being a puss and said SLOW DOWN! Second thing was Paul ignoring what his gut was telling him. He had to have known before he got into the car. This is a bad idea I bet you anything that the guy driving did this to Paul constantly. trying to put the fear into Paul by driving like an asshole! Just for the fact that he could say to people. Paul walker couldn't handle it when I took him for a ride! He pussed out told me bro slow down come on your crazy! If he would
    have listened to his gut instinct instead of his ego. He most likely would still be with us today! I would have cracked that fool in his jaw driving like that with me in the car. Sorry this happened to you Paul Walker miss you bro R.I.P 🚫🐂💩!

      Went to the movies with my mom and my brother to see the 7th movie. The entire theater was sobbing, us included. His death was a massive blow to everyone who loved him and the series... Dare I say if not for that first movie, and his character reminding me so much of my older brother that I looked up to, I probably never would've gotten into cars.

      I was watching TV, they put on fast and furious film but before it started they announced it was a change to their schedule, and was starring the late Paul walker. Was like no way, can't be. Looked online and saw photos of car crash and what had happened :0

    I remember I was visiting my dad for Thanksgiving weekend that year. I saw it on the news but I didn't wanna believe it. Even as time passed and I heard about his autopsy results, watched surveillance video of the crash dozens of times, and heard about how Caleb and Cody were brought in to help finish ff7, I still couldn't wrap my head around the fact that he was gone. I started to believe the conspiracy theories about how me might be alive somehow. It wasn't until after I saw the end of ff7 for the first time that it finally sank in. I went home and cried like a baby that night. Paul was my idol growing up ever since I saw 2 fast 2 furious for the first time when I was nine years old and saw him driving that blue and silver R34. I did several school research projects, reports, essays, PowerPoints, etc, about Paul in real life, Brian's character, and the cars he drove in the fast and furious movies. Blue was my favorite color for the longest time. Up until the end of 6th grade I wore white t-shirts almost everyday and pretended to drive his skyline down the hallways at school. For a good year or two I watched 2f2f at least once a week. I wanted to be Paul Walker. I wanted to be Brian O'Connor. I mellowed out as I got continued through middle school and into high school, but I still idolized him. The more I learned about him and what he was like in real life, the more I wanted to meet him. I know they say you shouldn't meet your heroes, but Paul seemed like the exception to that rule. RIP Paul Walker IV. Fly high.

    In every single racing game that has either a Supra, or R34 Skyline, I always have two of both. One is one that I customized to my liking, the other is the replica of the car that Paul drove, and I always drive them both, as a tribute to Paul, if it weren’t for him, I would not be as into cars as I am today.

    My wife & I were driving back to Sacramento from having Thanksgiving in Orange County that early Saturday morning near Magic Mountain off the 5 freeway when we saw the massive Black smoke going up into the sky & we knew it was something big. It wouldn't be until that evening once home in Sacramento when we saw the news & realized we were right there when it happened, a horrible day I will never forget.

    The end of Fast 7 was the hardest I had ever cried in my entire life. I was literally doubled over bawling my eyes out bc in my childhood whenever I was down, I watched one of the FF movies to get my mind off things, so I have seen them together almost 5,000 times. Also when I first saw it, I was a new dad of a newborn son so That tribute literally tore me to shreds.

      Pretty sure very few movie producers are TRUE car guys.
      They have to hire people in to get the details right, just to ignore them, to get the right "look"..
      It's still just entertainment for the whole, not the tiny % niche enthusiast to buy a ticket.
