I never picked up on the parallels of Jonas and Claudia before, how they both had to let go of their parents to change the past, and how both of them were there to comfort each other moment after their fathers died... GOD THIS SHOW IS SPECIAL
Yeah absolutely, the difference between Jonas Claudia is though that Jonas is just a young kid who dropped out of high school due to the events and Claudia was the leader of a nuclear power plant and studied most likely Quantum Physics at university before (in one episode in season 1, Claudia's mom says that they are trying to safe money so Claudia can go to a university, that is why they were looking for a tenant).

Guys did you realize how chilled young Jonas was compared to when he left with old Claudia in the episode before? The reason for this is that young Jonas just spend an entire year with old Claudia (June 2019 until June 2020) learning all things that are going on, and also doing exactly what Michael told us in the episode before, leading Mikkel through the caves.
To be completely precise, from June 2019 (month of Michael's death) to June 2020 (present time - right before apocalypse) minus the 33 year-cycle, which means June 1987 (Egon death)

You can see the moment Claudia's heart breaks when she realizes she has to choose between her father and her daughter. Repeating what her older self said right after is such a nice touch to key the viewer in, but the actress sells it so well it's almost breathtaking.
Its crazy how Older Claudia taught Jonas after his father died about how to fix the cycle, and she sent Jonas to the past to do same thing to younger Claudia... never ending cycle

I think when Agnes was revealed, either two of them on the right or all three of them said something like "It's not cheating". So yeah, don't be surprised that these people are really bad.
Keep in mind that, for Hannah, Jonas has been missing for 7 months already. He jumped into the future at the end of Season 1, stayed there throughout the season 1/2 break, and has been traveling through the past since then. She also knows that Jonas will be just fine without her because his older self visits her before she arrives in the 50s, so it's entirely conceivable that she has accepted she'll never see her teenage version again, and the adult version doesn't need her either. In regard to Ulrich and Hannah, you have to remember that she literally coerced Aleksander to "ruin" Ulrich after he dumped her. This is just the fulfilment of that revenge wish.
In the opening, you can see all the characters desire. Adam desires Martha, who is wearing the same dress as she did at the party, where they made love. Hannah desires Ulrich. Katharina desires Mikkel. They are primarily driven by that.
Although this leads to the question why her name is Donata Kraus and not Donata Wöller. She also does not explicitly call Benni (who might be Bernadette/Benjamin) her son. But it just adds to the mystery of that family.

The moment Ulrich asked about Katharina though was when she pulled back and cut her feelings for him, deciding to stay and forget about her feelings for Ulrich. She might have tried to free him, if he had decided for her. But he didnt, and so she left him.

The reason they say "x days till the apocalypse" no matter what time period they're in is because of the 33 rule. ie if they travelled to the fiture 33 years -1 day from the apocalypse they'd be traveling to the exact day after the apocalypse. So if you wanted to time travel to x amount of days, hours, or minutes before the apocolypse you would need to keep track of exactly how close you are to that time 33/66 years apart.
That is NOT how this show works, Muffin. That family tree is there not by accident. It is both in the lair and in the bunker and in the bunker it is highlighted several times. The show is not trying to surprise the audience by subverting their expectations but by explaining how in small rural towns life seems inevitable. If you missed the family tree that is okay but if you looked at it and paused it you would still need to figure out how that happens. This is the same as in season one where it is rather obvious that Mikkel is Michael (but Michael's name is only ever spoken aloud 3 times before the end of episode 5) or the Stranger being Jonas. If you just stopped for a second and questioned why Michael writes the time of Mikkels disappearance on the suiced note you already know that he is Mikkel. But while you think you know why he did that around 1x05 you learn the true circumstances (and the futility) in 2x06. If you rewatch the show you will notice how the show uses the same technique over and over again. It tells you something but leaves you baffled at how you got there. Only later is the full chain of cause and effect revealed. For example when Katharina makes her statement about the rape alledgations she is suddenly bruised and only later did we find out that that apparently her mother had given her a black eye for having sex with Ulrich. Or the hatred that is lingering between Regina and Katharina. The mistrust between Charlotte and Peter. All themes that are slowly explored after they have been established. And the family tree is no different from that. Oddly enough the reactors who stick to this "spoiler" claim (people need to look up what a spoiler actually is) are often lost in episode 3x07 and completely fail to see that it fills out the rest of the picture.
What happened with Claudia and her dad and Jonas and his dad isn't a bootstrap paradox it's a predestination paradox (or for doctor who fans a destiny trap).

The reason they say "x days till the apocalypse" no matter what time period they're in is because of the 33 rule. ie if they travelled to the fiture 33 years -1 day from the apocalypse they'd be traveling to the exact day after the apocalypse. So if you wanted to time travel to x amount of days, hours, or minutes before the apocolypse you would need to keep track of exactly how close you are to that time 33/66 years apart.
As they approach season 3, someone should tell them to not pause and look into the family tree on the floor in episode 2!

That is NOT how this show works, Muffin.
That family tree is there not by accident. It is both in the lair and in the bunker and in the bunker it is highlighted several times.
The show is not trying to surprise the audience by subverting their expectations but by explaining how in small rural towns life seems inevitable.
If you missed the family tree that is okay but if you looked at it and paused it you would still need to figure out how that happens.
This is the same as in season one where it is rather obvious that Mikkel is Michael (but Michael's name is only ever spoken aloud 3 times before the end of episode 5) or the Stranger being Jonas. If you just stopped for a second and questioned why Michael writes the time of Mikkels disappearance on the suiced note you already know that he is Mikkel. But while you think you know why he did that around 1x05 you learn the true circumstances (and the futility) in 2x06.
If you rewatch the show you will notice how the show uses the same technique over and over again. It tells you something but leaves you baffled at how you got there. Only later is the full chain of cause and effect revealed. For example when Katharina makes her statement about the rape alledgations she is suddenly bruised and only later did we find out that that apparently her mother had given her a black eye for having sex with Ulrich.
Or the hatred that is lingering between Regina and Katharina. The mistrust between Charlotte and Peter. All themes that are slowly explored after they have been established. And the family tree is no different from that.
Oddly enough the reactors who stick to this "spoiler" claim (people need to look up what a spoiler actually is) are often lost in episode 3x07 and completely fail to see that it fills out the rest of the picture.

Notice how older Jonas puts Martha behind him thinking it’s Adam coming to kill Martha when Katarina is breaking in the house. Well maybe not consciously thinking but subconsciously it’s there
More than in any other ep, Stranger Jonas really became Jonas when he was with Martha. Great job by the actor.
