Man deserves his own film.
Not even close. An origin movie for Abe would have to have it begin in the 1800s, back when Abe was a human man named Langdon Everett Caul, go into the incident that caused him to transform into the being that is now called Abe Sapien, his being sealed away until he is rediscovered in the 1970s, and his joining of the B.P.R.D.

I actual liked Abe in the movies.

Love Abe Sapien. If you all are interested in Abe, you might also be interested in hearing that there's a novel called Hellboy: Odder Jobs wherein merpeople start kidnapping people in a town, but back off when they see Abe, because they assume that it's his territory and all the women are Abe's.

Pretty much, dude used to be a human in the 1800s, got mutated into a fish man, and recently had a mutation that makes hi looks far less human than he initially did after his first mutation.

Yeah I looking forward to the Hellboy reboot, I keeping an open mind and from what I've seen so far it looks very true to the Ron Perlman Guillermo Del Toro films with its dark sort of art style so that's really nice. Without those two though there'll always be a magic missing.
The coolest thing about Abe, besides his lovely blue skin, is how he kind of knows things through touch, it's like a psychic ability with vibrations or something, it's lovely. Cool video Mr H.
You mean it looks true to the comics with it's dark sort of artstyle(because Del Toro just adapted the character into movie form). The Del Toro movies were 90% men In Black and 10% Hellboy.

Hellboy goes to England to take on the Blood Queen is pretty much all they've said in terms of story, but I do believe we might see some of the film take place in Mexico aswell if the casting info on IMDB is correct.

Hellboy was a series I could never get into unfortunately. I saw a part of the first one but got bored.
In terms of tone the movies are like 10% Hellboy and 90% Men In Black. For one thing, Hellboy isn't kept a secret from the population for fear of their prejudice, when he shows up to take out some supernatural creature people react like he was a plumber or exterminator coming to deal with whatever he got called in to do.
Also Hellboy and Liz had no romantic interest with each other.
