From my understanding, they actually moved it because of the problems the Pokémon tower was having with the restless dead. Mr. Fuji oversaw the process of moving the graves to the new location.

*YO! HELLO AND WELCOME TO ANOTHER AMAZING DAY OF POKÉMON! LET'S GET THINGS STARTED!* ^_^
YIKES! Yesterday was an emotional roller coaster! :'(
I quickly rushed to the Pokémon Center to revive Arthur and Tuix. Now I can officially get things started! ^_^
I started things off today by getting into a battle with the Kanto Pokémon Federation Trainer Group! They were a trio of Bikers who were looking to cause trouble! XD
Their first member was a Biker named Dwayne who started things off by sending out his four Koffings so I decided to let Tuix finally get his chance to show off his new move! ^_^
As a result of the fourth Koffing, Tuix grew to Level 41! YAY! ^_^
#SOPROUD!
Their second member was a Biker named Harris who sent out his Flareon so I decided to let Arthur play with this fiery foe! ^_^
As a result of this battle, Arthur grew to Level 41! YAY! ^_^
#KEEPITUPARTHUR!
Their final member was a Biker named Zeke who started things off by sending out his Koffing so I decided to let Tuix play with this foggy foe! ^_^
Zeke then sent out his second Koffing so I let Tuix take Round Two! ^_^
Then I was challenged by a Super Nerd named Sam who started things off by sending out his Grimer so I decided to let Tuix continue to grow for now. ^_^
Sam then sent out his Muk so I decided to let Tuix take Round Two! ^_^
Then I was challenged by a Super Nerd named Tom (I wonder if he uses MySpace - props to those who get that joke) who started things off by sending out his Magnemite so I decided to let Pooh play with this bipolar baddie! ^_^
Tom then sent out his second Magnemite so I let Pooh take Round Two! ^_^
Tom then sent out his *third* Magnemite so I let Pooh take Round Three! ^_^
As a result of that battle, Pooh grew to Level 43! YAY! ^_^
#WAYTOGOPOOH!
Then I finally made it into Lavender Town! ^_^
However, I quickly discovered that to get where I needed to go, I first had to go through Rock Tunnel to get to the Power Plant to restore power to the Power Plant so that I could get the Magnet Train running again etc. -_-
En route to Rock Tunnel I was challenged by a PokéFan named Robert who sent out his Quagsire so I naturally decided to let Rita play with this Rick Flair wannabe! ^_^
Then I was challenged by a Hiker named Jim who sent out his Machamp so I decided to let Tuix play with this fighting foe! ^_^
After zipping through Rock Tunnel (and collecting a smattering of items), I finally made my way to the Power Plant! ^_^
Then I was challenged by a Picnicker named Heidi who started things off by sending out her Skiploom so I decided to let Tuix play with this flowery foe! ^_^
As a result of this battle, Tuix grew to Level 42! YAY! ^_^

Heidi then sent out her second Skiploom so I decided to let Tuix take Round Two-ix! XD
Then I went into the Power Plant and was asked to help track down a shady character (Pssych...?) in Cerulean City. ^_^
However, I'm going to have to wait until tomorrow to do that because I'm exhausted for now. XD
