You have install a fan for heat dissipation. Heat of big step down converter will lead the affect to others components.

The diode is to keep the battery pack from back feeding the charge board when not charging. The charge board he switched out might have that built in but the boost converter he started with doesn't.

Good Job But Battery Banking and Spot Welding Concept Not Clear , Circuit Diagram and Practical Wirings are Deviating . SR106 Schotcy diode not shown in Circuit Diagram .

So, that's why our Ancestors invented system of A.C Alternating current. We can get converted into any voltagesh of DC
Actually DC also contains slight traces of AC, bcoz. ground is received from A.C :) heheheh. Yeah u can say,
our DC Batteries are charged with AC+ DC. if you check with Multimetr, u can easily find AC Traces !

I think this diode was in wrong place, it should be at the positive between the module and battery to prevent the battery charging module
