Dude that wasn't pretty good, that was freaking epic!!!!! For never doing it, and being out there by yourself, you did as good as anybody could've wanted too. And you know what I'm probably going to say now, man I wish I would've been out there with you. Beautiful Rose Porgy, beautiful Grey Tile, and peanut sandwiches are always great brother. I've been watching your vids slowly for a while, catching up with the older ones, and trying to space them out, so I don't run out of them. Haha, I know that's silly, but there's about 5 or 6 of you guys that I watch, and I try to keep it where there is always a new video to watch from each of you. So I always have something to watch on my down time. Always dreamed of doing this for a living at least par-time, but haven't been able to pull the ripcord on just yet. You never know, maybe one day. Anyways, you keeping doing you Hieko (sorry if I misspelled it), and don't worry about the haters, just focus on the fans, all 10,954 of them!!! I predict you'll be over a 100,000 subs in a year or so, if not sooner. Always trying to keep it on the reeeel. JJG
big thanks man! I'm learning new things everyday and will keep on trying to get some great content out for you guys! I have a bucket full of blue crabs i'm about to cook up. That video should be out in 2 days =) Maybe tomorrow
No worries brother, my pleasure!!! I live in SW Miami, hopefully one day I can drive down and go out with you and slay some fish!! I've used Google Earth as a fishing tool for years, and it's invaluable, to find new spots, fishy looking spots, and even some wrecks.
I have only watched 6 of your videos and had to subscribe and add you to my list . I watch about 15 different channels , am a cancer surviver ( so far ) ! I spend about 3 to 4 hrs. a day watching what I wish I could do again . Thank you for the video ..
George Sutton I'm with you, man. Guys like Heiko do something really special for me. Who are your top 5 favorites? Mine are Landshark Fishing, LakeForkGuy, blacktiph, Angler Up with Brant, Totally Awesome Fishing & of course Heiko. Wishes for improving health. Jerry, Reston VA
Methodical process brought success. I heartily agree your trip was a fantastic exploration and provided me a way to vicariously participate despite my disabilities. Yes, shout with joy. Great job! I'm so grateful for all it took you to execute this great success. Way to go, Heiko.
Great video! I picked up a number of tips, including saving those bellies for bait, and how to fasten the bait using wire ... its the small things that separates those that consistently catch fish, from those who just go out fishing.
Don't know if you have a truck to haul one but a gas caddy on wheels will pay for itself and save you some money quickly. Great videos. Love your content and your excitement.
So many pro fishermen's with "pro advice" on how to....make your channel and teach people how to do it, why do you even watch this channel? Nice content and love how you get excited when you hook a fish 🐟
that was a great video bro iv seen some of your stuff befor but this one got me keep them coming love the solo deep drop combo vids showcase the skills great job man.
Thanks Jose, i'll be doing some more solo runs soon. Tomorrow i'm going spearfishing with the girlfriend in slightly deeper water than normal so hopefully we get some great footage. Cheers!
I'm really enjoying your channel, I live in west central FL and fish out of Stump Pass so no deep water fishing for me but you make me wish I could. Keep the content coming I know your channel will do well .
I haven't fished the west coast of Florida. Have some buddies that do but they need to run pretty far offshore to get to the deeper water. Out by the oil rigs I believe
Hey you said you were going to Key West to a friend's house to ride bikes. A good way to get inexpensive weights would be to go to antique shops or housewares reuse stores and ask for their window sash weights there use to be and probably still are in some of the windows of some of those old houses in KWest
You had some that were small almost like a little islander where you showed feeding the hook through the live squid then it had a small plastic piece you said to make sure you inserted into the squid, those were the ones I am trying to find.
Heiko, When you deep drop hook your first fish, keep it down there about 15 seconds to get a second fish on. Dropping 160 meters everytime for one fish is hardly worth the time
yea sometimes I will do it that way, both ways work I guess it's preference. Sometimes I like putting the hook on the bottom so if I hook something with teeth like a kingfish there's a better chance it won't break the line while i'm fighting it.
That makes sense. The hooks on top are supposed to prevent the jig getting pryed out. Great videos. I'm heading to the keys in Feb. Hope to use some of your techniques.
yes you are right he is catching fish but it pains me to see the little mistakes that keep him from doing so much better and it seems like he really enjoys it and is curious about fishing like I said if he would just pick up one of the books, many books on trolling and rigging that you can get at most tackles doors it would help him a ton
are you allowed to drink beer on a boat where you live? Also i love those moment when you just keep filming the line going up without really fast skiping it , it add some tension , cause we all wanna know whats gonna be at the end of it! great vid
People on the boat can drink and whoever is driving the boat can drink but only when not operating the vessel. And of course you need to be under the .08 legal limit when you decide to drive the boat again. From personal experience the cops/fwc don't really care about drinking on the boat as long as everyone is 21+ and not doing anything stupid. Thanks for the comment
Hey just to give you some idea how much it is tho live in Great Britain🇬🇧 1.30$to the pound£- fuel for boats 1x£ 5.67/gallon equivalent to 1x $ 7.38 per gallon wot you think about dat 👍🏻🇬🇧
When your deep drop and try laying your rig on the bottom and letting it go completely slack should increase your hook ups. If you watch underwater footage of people deep drop in every time your rig moves the fish spook.
I would advise u to have and epirb on yourself and a life jacket , being by yourself sitting on the rail did u ever think if u fell overboard with the boat in gear what would happen. Be safe and think about what your doing.
Random question but what does your boat use for GPH @ cruising speeds? How far do you usually go out and how many gallons do you use? I have a 1980 Anacapri 25ft with 140hp Volvo Diesel I'm almost done fixing/setting up with live wells, coolers, and modern electronics. The old man I bought it from said it used roughly 3 GPH doing 20 mph.
I get around 2.3-2.6 MPG when i'm crusing around 24knots. My tank holds 115gallons so I can go pretty far. A trip like this i'll burn about $150 in gas and another $25 in oil

Hey George, what's holding you back from getting out on the water? Hope all is well
Had spinal surgery about 2yrs. ago , and it saved my life , but very limited too how much I can be on my feet . But I am NOT going to stop trying .
good to hear that. Keep on keep-in on

Great video. Your deck brush is driving me crazy just laying in the way, and I'm not even in the boat with you! Lol

I’m addicted to you’re vids. Don’t stop making them.
FatalRusherHD F/A same and im for australia!
That Cero Mackeral you used for bait makes some damn good sushi. Good videos man. 👍🏻

Love the synth music with the vidja guy, keep it going!
Love your enthusiasm man
What charts was that you were using to be able to see bottom contours in those depths with color?
great job!! i see you are really enjoying fishing!!
Hey how do you like the electric reel . And also Simrad . Have you had any problems with either one of them .
Awesome I was smiling and giggling just like I was there.MORE
Great content! Would love to see more deep water jigging with the new reel that was cool
yea I'll be uploading a video either tuesday or wednesday with some more deep dropping action.
great vids...because they are informative....you actually explain stuff....eg. shots of the simrad fish finder....keep working at it.thanks

Good day for sure
You sir have earned my subscription
You need me there as first mate ehh? Deck swabby and official fish taster!! Sounds good to me. Maybe i won't have to work so hard
Great job. U were very close 2 we're the 30 plus pounders hang out. Golden tile. U just had to go a bit deeper.
I I like diawa the last one that I had was a dial of Black widow that was made it up to a Shimano reel
do you recommend the spinfisher v?
Sweeet....great Job....something New.....gotta try Deep Dropping
Great video nice catches 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🤙🏾
the squid pass the hook twice, the piece of fish always cut in a triangle so that fluffing part is the thin part enticing
U need 3 of those electric reels. I recommend Bandit's. Go down with at least 3 hook per line u deep drop.
Double ""FISH ON"" SOLO... WHAT ??? I love ""MASS CONFUSSION"" When you're out there alone !!!
What type of skirts are those you are using with the squid? You are my favorite channel, keep up the great work! Keep it fun.
just little plastic skirts. They are cheap: amzn.to/2D1fYl1

aren't you supposed to tie on the jigging spoon with the hooks on top?

I would take all those fish guts and scraps and grind them up for chum. Never buy any chum anymore. Cheers from Ontario
Good stuff!!
Thanks Ryan, it's a good watch in 1080p in theater mode heh

I like your videos Keep them coming
There's lots coming this week starting tomorrow!
have to use the motor and keep a straight line down if not you will lose all the lead
Awesome great video

Many more to come!
Nice good job
I love the LM Mahi mahi

I think you need to move to florida and pay less for gas =). 7.38 phewww that's a lot!
When your deep drop and try laying your rig on the bottom and letting it go completely slack should increase your hook ups. If you watch underwater footage of people deep drop in every time your rig moves the fish spook.
Either an AN or a rosie
Remember let that deep rig load up before bringing up one fish at a time lol
Why??
Grear vid!!! New subscriber here!
snapper
❤️
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
awesome channel just subbed
Thanks man!
Hey brother nice catch I live in tampa bay one day we got it go to fish together lol
Good vid!
That’s why you don’t leave your line out 600 yards away from the boat. Lot of room for error and missing fish
I would advise u to have and epirb on yourself and a life jacket , being by yourself sitting on the rail did u ever think if u fell overboard with the boat in gear what would happen. Be safe and think about what your doing.
Dude you should clean your fish outside, setting them on the counter and stuff lol
Yea I usually try to but as soon as the sun starts setting the noseeums get so bad I can't stand being outside
Stinking up the house I see.
I'll post a video of that later today haha. I had chum spill all over my floor when the chest freezer died during the hurricane

How big is that boat? Kinda hard to tell in video, I see you have a privy under the console so it must be over 21ft
24ft
maybe a big wahoo cut you off on your second dolphin.
I really appreciate your videos but turn off your clickers
50% people tell me turn them off. The other half tell me leave em on. lol
That's cool I do most of my deep drop at the Wilmington canyon from cape May NJ. My biggest golden tilefish was 35 pounds
I'm trying to figure out a way to upload a pic
