Hi Gene , what a great view. Thanks for taking that hike for us. I would’ve said no way no I probably would’ve sent the hubs up and done a over voice. OK very beautiful. Thanks for all the tips. I am totally living vicariously through you. Have a great visit tell mom hello.TFS 👛🛍️🙏🚢🦆
Thanks for watching. Yes, it is quite a hike. The hill is taller than it looks from the bottom, but worth the trek. I’ll have to do it more often now, as It’s probably been 8 years since I went up there last.
I’m so glad you came to Vienna. It’s a great city. Yes, poor Maria Antonia. The children of monarchs never had a choice back then of whom they are with. Marriages were just a tool for political gain.
Gene, thank you so much for taking us! This was fabulous. I love the Palm House. That section was my favorite! And sus ruins??? I had no idea! Now I want to see Vienna more than ever! ❤
Sus ruins. Haha. Well you will have to come here. The Palm House area is my favorite section too and it’s never crowded, no matter what time because the tour groups just won’t spend enough time there to show the whole gardens.
It's been a very long time but it is nice to see this, i was here 20 years ago, nice to see it again, my mother loves gardens, ❤️ she dragged us to them, while the building is amazing, it is the gardens i remember ❤️
I have never heard such excitement in your voice and I talk to you literally everyday 😊 I’m so happy that you are having such a great time. Give your mom a hug and a kiss for me. Bring me back soon sausages 😌❤
Oh, this was such a good vlog. :-) I loved seeing the gardens and then I had to go and read about Maria Antoinette and Marie Teresa...and the palace. So beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing. :-)
Beautiful video! Thanks so much for sharing! I so enjoyed learning the history of the palace. I've never been to Vienna so this has been a wonderful introduction! Thanks!
Thanks so much for the vlog and stories. I had no idea about Marie Antoinette and Mozart! I see why you love Vienna so much. Gorgeous views from the top of the hill, too. I'm a firm believer in getting out and about before the tourist hordes descend.
@@dcjimr1 Thank you. Yes, especially at places like this. It’s so much more enjoyable when it’s not crowded and you can take pictures without 10,000 people in them.
Hi Gene great vlog video you’re getting really good at it love the views and all of the history Vienna is so beautiful it’s one of the places I haven’t been to you’ve got me itching for a trip though thank you so much for the inspiration can’t wait to see more 💚💚💚
Aww, Gene, thanks for the hike up. Wow to 10 visits to Vienna! My family lives throughout Europe, and often speaks of the beauty of Vienna! Do you know which cathedral is in the distance at 16:31 on the right side? It reminds me of the Cologne Cathedral (Kölner Dom) in Germany, not too far from the Frankfurt Airport. Definitely worth a visit. You can climb to the top for an amazing view! The foundation stones were laid in 1248. It's spectacular! Thank you for vlogging this amazing trip! I'm seeing Vienna for the first time through your eyes! Love the history you are sharing. Makes the moments even more meaningful.
@@KindnessMatters_ Thank you so much. At 16:31 it’s actually a church. It’s huge, isn’t it. The first time I was there I thought it was Saint Stephen’s Cathedral, which is Central Vienna, but it isn’t. It’s the Kirchenbeitragsstelle. I have never been but had to look it up. Where does your family live? Thanks for watching.
@@totesgene That's so interesting about the Kirchenbeitragsstelle church. Europe is so beautiful with its architecture. My family lives in Germany, Sweden, and Switzerland. TFS!
