Thank you for these videos! I recently got a Weber for my RX7, and had no idea how to rebuild it. You worked me through it.

Hello, all right, I'm Brazilian and a big fan of weber carburetors, and I've already had fuel teck ft500 in a car here, anyway, can you tell me if the weber dcoe can mount the pressure cap? for turbo? I had a turbo with weber standing up!

awesome video....I'll have to watch this one several times to try to remember everything. Can you talk about the different model number that follow the dcoe...like 8's, 18, etc etc....thanks for taking the time to make this vid, you're awesome.

    Hi - Awesome video - thank you for sharing. Just a little note - R/T Chargers didn't have 45DCOE13's. The E37's had 2 x 45DCOE53 and 1 x 45DCOE54 (back). E38 & E49 had 2 x 45DCOE55 & 1 x 45DCOE56 (back). I keep forgetting what the E48's had, but they were the same as E37 or E49.

You have three different variants of the 40 DCOE that would have been fitted to three different cars at the time. As manufacturers created new model cars (typically Alfa Romeo for these), slight changes were made to the carburettors by Weber and were therefore given a new number. You will find that the idle circuits will differ on them (progression holes) therefore should not be used together as a set.

The narrator says ‘hydroblasting’ but I’ve achieved a similar finish on the aluminum-bodied SU HD-8 card on a soft-grade wire wheel (i.e. brass wire) on my bench grinder

Well, if you have had the camera on the opposite side, one could probably better see what you are doing instead of seeing your hands.
