Today I'm going to rebuild a Weber 45 DCOE Carb.

This is actually going on the Midget racer not the Mini, But I did run one of these on my mini for a year or so. They can be rather thirsty things.
What IS going on the mini? You'll see in my next video!!!!
Yes... I know there were a lot of o-rings left, the kit had more then needed.

It would be VERY long and VERY tedious, it's just a lot of screwing to be fair.
I also cleaned up and painted the Maniflow manifold (you'll see that at the end)

Flushing agent does not remove glass bead. Hot soapy water, brushes. Heat item then blow with compressed air. Repeat process

Hi turbo mini . I have a question about the fuel pump. to weber 40 dcoe which should be mechanical or electric to make the carburator work properly. Thanks
Hi, sorry I missed your message. I would always use an electric pump - mechanical pumps are a pain to prime when they break they can fill your engine with fuel!.

Hi, I have a question about removing the 'main chokes' (venturis) from the 45 DCOEs on my car. Once the air cleaners and ram pipes have been removed, it looks to me, from watching your video, that both the main and auxiliary chokes are held in place by just two locking screws located on the underside of each carb barrel. Am I right about that or are their other impediments to their removal?
Hi David.
You are correct, only the 2 locking screws per side hold them in place. one of mine was a bit awkward to remove as it looks like the carb has been dropped at some point which has slightly dented one side of the main casting making it very tight.

Did the bearings come with the rebuild kit? I don’t remember seeing them in the kits I got from Weber. Anyway I have two I need to rebuild by end of the week once I get back in town. Let me know.

Hi, well it depends on condition and what's needed, but approx 2 hours labour each plus parts.
Just bought one myself , how much would you charge to blast it for me lol it’s going on an MGB GT. Urs look like new !
