Honda’s New Business Jet Will be Called the HondaJet Echelon - AIN

- With the more imaginative name Echelon, the new version of the HondaJet should be ready to enter service in 2028. Honda Aircraft says the transcontinental aircraft will offer 2,625 nm of range with more space and new features in the cabin, as well as an upgraded flight deck for pilots, drawing on the car maker’s automotive design team.

5000 hr commercial pilot here, ME + IFR instructor, type rated on various jets and Kingair Instructor. Honda Jet have put out preliminary specs so we have some basic data to work from. The weights are similar to the Phenom 300E, the fuel capacity of the Hondajet is the same as the Phenom 300E....around 5,300 lbs of fuel. Now the Honda Jet is claimed to get 600nm more range out of the same amount of fuel as the Phenom. That's a 25% improvement in efficiency over the Phenom...............an efficiency improvement that to be honest seems quite implauseable. i could believe 5% or even 10% better efficiency but 25% does not add up. The only way you could get 2600nm range would be to have a fuel capacity of around 6,200 lbs which given the takeoff weight would not increase, the Hondajet would have a miserable fuel fuel payload.(as in 1 pilot and no passengers). people who are actually real pilots will understand what i am talking about.
Rather than speculate, let’s wait for the official announcement release from Honda Jet. I am confident executives from Honda Jet would not communicate misinformation or misleading statements about their aircraft.
Doesn't the Phenom 300 have a faster cruise speed? Also does the Phenom have a Carbon composite fuselage like the Honda or aluminum?
Any clues on price range?
Lets hope these stay on runway better than the first HJ.

You clearly have no understanding of the light jet market. Light jets have been certified for single pilot operations for decades.
Investors should invest in letting Honda Jet Echelon be commercialized to passengers aircraft company for subsidiary or division worldwide not being sell to any buyers. No selling for Honda Jet Aircraft anymore but open for Honda Wheel Chairs for senior citizens with sealed by smart glass technology from Research Frontiers Inc. or any lower model issued by Honda where price is very much appreciable worldwide. Billions of people who are being served by this model for people will surely aged. Consumers are have not option but to buy Honda Wheel chairs. New models will be soon to be published at a later time onward years 2023 A.D.
