Many thanks! I have three Boss bass effects from the mid 80's which I thought were all broken. It turns out that they need the ACA supply and not the PSA supply I was trying to use, so you have solved my problem 🙂

Solved my problem too. Thanks James. Was trying to get two old Boss peddles to work from a multi power supply. It has 8 x 9V and 2 x switchable 9-12-18V. Guess which two suddenly made them work on 12V,,, Here was me thinking I need to replace an CE-2 and a DM-3

you can slso go into the pedal and remove the corresponding voltage regulator components. Its normally only a couple of resistors. You can look up schematics for each effect to get the ones you need to take out. Ive done that with all of my older Boss pedals. Anything before 1997 is ACA

Or just daisy chain it with any 9v pedal, rather than wreck the resale value.

Correct, you can do that, however, not every musician in inclined to make modifications to their electronics.

Hey man I have a line 6 amp that when I first plug in my guitar and power it on all the effects and knobs seem like they're turned up way high. I have to turn each knob and then it goes down to a normal tone what do you think that problem could be. Please and thank you

Hi James, thanks for the video! I got a boss equalizer that works when you plug the battery and also sound works when on power source. But the led goes off when at power source and lights on when on battery. Any clue how to fix it? Thanks a lot!

Ensure you are using the correct power supply. The led indicator being dim or not lighting indicates the voltage is low. See the owners manual.

@@jamelectronics it was an old pedal, fixing the voltage helped the LED to come up. Thank you!
