I had found most of these places (a few of them surprised me, and I still haven't been to a couple of these caves yet), but I only found 2 toroids while I was out exploring. Now that I have a map, I might be able to spend some time farming these up soon, so thanks for putting in the footwork to put this list together!
I actually just found a second spawn in cave #2, there's a pillar of rock with some mushrooms/etc near the top, that has a small tunnel in the wall right at the top. Found a toroid up there, AND in the lower water tunnel thing, in the same run!
just did a set of your selected caves GHS. found 1 of each toroid in cave 1 and 9. And a couple of mem fragments in cave 11. Enough to get Garuda started. Thanks for the vid/tips.
Is this data still relevant in 2020? All I found was some mem fragments in some of the locations while setting down loc-pins in the 14 caves. EDIT: Yeah it is I’ve used this method to hit rank 4 with Little Duck.
Amazing work. Thank you. When I found one on my own using the pump to lower the water is was pretty fun. I didn't think they'd be so many more because I had explored many other caves and not seen anything like it. Just a little more looking is all it takes.
They add these little "puzzles" in the caves, but there's really nothing to do in them. They look cool, interesting, beautiful at times... but there really isn't anything in them. hey, if you will do a video on fishing in vallis specifically, I actually found out how to determine the points on a fish before you catch it. see each fish has these sort of ornaments on them. the more ornaments it has, the more points it has. for example the recaster is a block fish with yellow square holes in it. a basic one just has those holes but a magnificent one has metallic fins sticking out of them. basically to spot a magnificent fish, you have to pay attention to its ornaments. the more it has, the more points it yields. the orokin fish has rings on top of its head if it is adorned or magnificent.
I go in with a tanky Oberon/smeeta and just got to one of the three locations we're they drop run deep inside the factorys get my threat level to 4 then kill till the drop but I don't pick them up unless my smeeta gives me buff so I can 4 for the price of 1 it's so fun to see the numbers when you pick them all up
Made two runs with all 14 caves. In the first run, i found all 3, in the second I only found 2, so there are definitely more caves with possible spawns.

2024 here, Resource boost with bounty level 5, Zero toroid so I gave up and just wanna mining gem to relax a bit and randomly found one, it still work just fine and sometime it's not only at the place as in video but randomly place, but in conclusion it is better to just farm from enemies(Spaceport, Enrichment Labs and the Temple of Profit) cause this RNG cave is just too depressing
Thanks, been looking for something confirming toroid spawn locations ever since I found hidden spots in a bunch of caves. As a side note, in cave 2 at 2:10 there should be hole in the roof of the cave that can also spawn toroids. I might be going crazy but I feel like each spot is linked a specific toroid type. I've only seen vegas from the spot in cave 6. Gonna test it out when I get the chance.
Just tried this got three in one cave the second one I checked out of five, I really hope its consistent and that I didn't just have good luck with the rng but knowing this game it probably was haha.
Good video and definitely helped me, but since found more caves with toroids and some with two locations. However more caves might make the farming too long e.g. I went to 21 or so locations and got 0, where last week I did the same run and got 5.

Question (sorry for poor english) is toroid type connected to specific cave or random type can spawn in same Cave ?
hey, if you will do a video on fishing in vallis specifically, I actually found out how to determine the points on a fish before you catch it. see each fish has these sort of ornaments on them. the more ornaments it has, the more points it has.
for example the recaster is a block fish with yellow square holes in it. a basic one just has those holes but a magnificent one has metallic fins sticking out of them. basically to spot a magnificent fish, you have to pay attention to its ornaments. the more it has, the more points it yields. the orokin fish has rings on top of its head if it is adorned or magnificent.
in all those caves i found only 2 toroids , rng loves me a lot
Toroid farm is: easy to find(spots in caves) and hard to forget(how many hours you spent for this)
I go in with a tanky Oberon/smeeta and just got to one of the three locations we're they drop run deep inside the factorys get my threat level to 4 then kill till the drop but I don't pick them up unless my smeeta gives me buff so I can 4 for the price of 1 it's so fun to see the numbers when you pick them all up
Ty for this video really useful and i will try it
The hint on many of these could be "go with the flow".
Made two runs with all 14 caves.
In the first run, i found all 3, in the second I only found 2, so there are definitely more caves with possible spawns.
>Be me, need one sola toroid to complete Garuda.
>Try this tactic for about four cumulative hours and find not a single toroid.
>Solo attack temple of profit in a fit of rage.
>Fifth corpus goon I kill drops a sola toroid.
2024 here, Resource boost with bounty level 5, Zero toroid so I gave up and just wanna mining gem to relax a bit and randomly found one, it still work just fine and sometime it's not only at the place as in video but randomly place, but in conclusion it is better to just farm from enemies(Spaceport, Enrichment Labs and the Temple of Profit) cause this RNG cave is just too depressing

appreciate the help bro
Thanks, been looking for something confirming toroid spawn locations ever since I found hidden spots in a bunch of caves. As a side note, in cave 2 at 2:10 there should be hole in the roof of the cave that can also spawn toroids. I might be going crazy but I feel like each spot is linked a specific toroid type. I've only seen vegas from the spot in cave 6. Gonna test it out when I get the chance.
Been watching your vids squad leader for quite some time now. But this one earned my sub! Holy shit! This is the most comprehensive one by far!
Oh hell yeah! Cave farming it will be. Fighting these super corpus at alert level 4 gets my shit pushed in!
Just tried this got three in one cave the second one I checked out of five, I really hope its consistent and that I didn't just have good luck with the rng but knowing this game it probably was haha.
You lucky duck.....I checked all 14 and found nothing! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaAAaAaAAAaaAaA!!!!
I keep black screening in the 7th cave
Good video and definitely helped me, but since found more caves with toroids and some with two locations. However more caves might make the farming too long e.g. I went to 21 or so locations and got 0, where last week I did the same run and got 5.
I found 3 in cave 5! It was all three of the types, side by side!
