I fell in love with Mad Rock and just sealed my dedication to them a couple weeks ago. I had just finished breaking in some shark 2.0 shoes when I saw a fault in the sole to rand seam. Contacted them about any home fixes, and they wound up sending me a new pair! And let me keep the old ones, which I’m getting resoled, sooo…
I am looking forward to when @madrockclimbs drops the new shark!

Not to detract from this accomplishment Ozzy but what exactly were your inputs into the shoe? When homie is comparing the 2.0 to the old one at 6:19 these all sounded like changes that MadRock themselves made based on others feedback..? Did you design the outer color scheme? All love here so I'm just curious... Congrats though man!

As someone who likes to resole and really get the full use out of a shoe, I’m curious on how resoles work. Since there is no rand rubber and no seam, it’ll be hard to tell when it’ll be time to resole. It feels like the drone 2.0 is a use it to the ground and buy another to replace type shoe. Also, congratulations rockentry! I’ve been watching you since I started my climbing journey a couple years back and I’ve definitely developed a more methodical style because of it. Will definitely pick up a pair once I figure out sizing!

Bro this is dope! I normally wear Evolv shoes, Shamans mostly and Zenists when I need softer shoes and I recently decided to start getting some more inexpensive shoes to wear in the gym so I ordered a pair of Mad Rock Sharks. I expected them to be fine but after getting them in a couple days ago I've actually been blown away at how much better they feel than I expected, I'm honestly shocked at how nice they are. The reason I got the Sharks was kind of an accident, I've actually been really intrigued by the Drone 2.0s for like over a month now and when I finally decided to order them my size was sold out so I went for the Sharks instead, maybe this is a hint to order some Rockentry Drones instead? Hmmm.

Glad you can make your own shoes it’s takes some work.I’ve started making climbing shoes myself. I have my own business, resoling shoes and now making them. I’ve learned how to make last and now the shoes to go on them. Now you can sponsor some climbers for more feed back. Best way to test your product.

I size down half a size from regular shoe size. My regular shoe size is 8.5 and I wear size 8 rockentry Drone 2.0

How about when it comes to resoling the shoes. Where do you find 6mm leather for the resole? Can you keep the downturn angle still?
Huge congrats! Always wondered how comfy are the Drones since I was debating buying them for my 2nd pair of shoes. I ultimately went for the Scarpa Instinct VSR (41.5) and sadly I experienced a rough rough break in period and baggy heel (severely). I was wondering how was the breaking period for the Drones and the heel fitting? I wear size 40.5-41.5 street shoes usually.
The shoes feel comfortable from the start! There’s no discomfort breaking period which I love.
I recommend sizing based on your street shoe size and if you like it a bit tight then go a half size down from your street shoe size.
I’m street shoe size 8.5 and wear rockentry drone 2.0 size 8.

Also, If I wear La Sportiva Solution Comps size 41, should I get the HV version size 42.5? My street shoe size is 43.

For sizing I recommend going based on your street shoe size. If you have wide feet get the "HV" and if you have narrow feet go for "LV". Hope this helps and thanks for your interest and support!
