French local climber here ! I was climbing at Climbing District Bastille last time and yes, for a five star review they indeed give you a free drink lol. I personnally don't really like these sort of attracting strategies, but I gotta admit I think this is so funny that it worked so well that they thougt it was legit the best graded gym in the world and made an entire video about it (now don't get me wrong this is really one of the best and fanciest climbing gym in Paris but yeah the 5 star note is not legit)

@@emilejouen7636 I mean people are free to either change it afterwards or they might not see the sign and still rate it. Maybe it wouldnt be rated 5/5 but it would still need to receive a really high rating to keep up those 5 stars.

Good times for sure! My favourite recent climbing collab has been Johnny Dawes with Toby Segar on Hannah Morris Bouldering, but all of these cross overs are fun and always add something new 😊

Awesome video once again! Being from Paris it's so nice to actually get a good idea of how good Emil and Climbingstuff are since I know what those colour grades mean to me (i'm especially surprised by how good ClimbingStuff actually is!). BTW you never see people try the purple grades haha, it's more of a joke
You do see them but never in the crowded hours, those people usually come in the day because it's mostly what they either do for living or they have way too much spare time haha !
Yeah with the colours I have absolutely no idea of the grades mean in comparison to what I actually climb

The boardroom, in deeside uk is my home gym, it has 4,9 stars and i believe the highest indoor bouldering wall in europe (psicoblock) defo worth a visit guys

Wow so nice to see you in Paris, sad for Bleau, these past few weeks have been too rainy... Next time you should try Arkose Massy, it's pretty great, boulders are hard, until the olympics a third of the gym is transformed into olympic training for athletes, so the level is going to go up even more. (The gym isn't as classy as climbing sitrict tho)

Also I am really sad because I reckon every boulder because I was there when all of those were set but it wasn't the same day as those crushers 😭
And no this pink in the big overhanging wall is not a V4 at all if you are not as tall as them (or used to dyno every boulder you do), the before last hold is very shitty haha ! I've tried it many times and never gets the last move sadly
For foreigners, this is the only climbing gym in Paris to have a kilterboard (and well, one of the only to have a board, period) and this month (april 2024) a replica of Burden of Dreams is set inside !
@climbingdistrict are really the best gym company when it comes to bringing new ideas and evolution in Paris !
Ah and also, they use loose chalk in their chalk bag but it's actually forbidden in every bouldering gym and specifically said in the gym rules (allowed if there is sport climb in the same area tho) so it's a bit unfair but I guess it's because they're more famous than us, simple mortals 😅

I go to a 4.9 rated one with 67 reviews, its pretty good, but i hears some strong climbers say it only goes to upper intermediate level climbing, 7B at best

It's my morning gym but… far from the best in Paris tbh. Actually not even the best of all the Climbing District ones ;) Also for context: the wall is no tex too, so boulders are harder than they look!
