Lol if I were you, I would constantly be making blind jokes, like "and now I'm going to draw a cat with a red marker." and then pull out a green marker and draw a house or something lol
Oomomo...HAHA! 😂...I like the way you think!...I often say, "I have the best sick kid jokes out there!"...My sense of humour is off the wall at times...So yeah, I like your style! #RELATABLE! (Hmmmmm, that's not spelled right!) 😂🤔😋
The fact that you do all the little things that will mean so much to your children for the rest of their lives and you can't even see!! There are able bodied parents who don't even care sometimes :( I wish everyone had your heart Joy! I wish everyone had the longing to love the way you do, even if it's in your own unique way. You always make me smile. Thank you :))
Dr.OhYeah...There are apps and phone features for the disabled of all sorts of disabilities...I need to use them...There is an app or a feature on your phone where you talk to the phone and it types in the comment or text message for you (it's called SPEECH TO TEXT and there is even TEXT TO SPEECH that reads out textS or comments to you)...Joy has many a video where she uses these features on her phone...She used SPEECH TO TEXT to text an Uber driver in quite a recent video... She also uses an app where she goes shopping and points the phone at an item and the phone vocally describeS the item in great detail... Having a "disability" is just a DIFFERENT ABILITY and you navigate life WITH your disability and in creative ways... Disabled people (I know from experience) do have tough days where things are harder to do...but there are also work around and creative ways to work with a disability and disabled people are not totally dependent on others or have no abilities...DISABILITY just equals DIFFERENT ABILITIES! 😎🎃 ✌️🤘🖖🙏🏽🌞
wow, your hand writing is absolutely beautiful. I can't write as pretty as you and I do have sight lol. you are such a lovely mother to your two beautiful girls, and I think it is so cute how you write them those cute little messages for school. thank you so much for your videos, you are such am inspiration to me as I have too gone through many hard times in my life and your videos always make me smile, so thank you so much for that Joy, I love you so much. ( kiss kiss)
Becky Hyams hey Becky, wow, thank you so much for such a heartfelt message which definitely put a smile on my face. You are so very welcome for everything and I'm so glad I have brought you joy!. By the way, love you and love your kiss kiss at the end of your message💜
I love how being blind doesn't stop you from doing what you did before. You're still up to the challenge and don't let anything ruin the precious moments that you had before. Really love you and your exceptional strength.
I met two blind people in an apartment block corridor who asked for help finding the elevator, it went terribly!!! although i got them there i was giving directions as if they could see and not guiding them round obsticles and things!!! I spoke with them about this for a few minutes after and they taught me a couple of things like letting blind people take your elbo really helps, they were both really nice people.
Love that comment; I'm going to look closer. As you so rightly point out, if you've never had any sort of sight, doing what you have just done is very difficult. I'd say most if not all sighted people do not appreciate that. You did a great job there, all perfectly readable. You can go to the top of the class.
Scottishboy1956 I appreciate your comment :-)… yes, most people with eyesight truly do not appreciate the simplest tasks. And about my comment "I'm going to look closer", it's amazing how it really makes a difference! Literally muscle memory… My brain understands that when you look closer the details are easier to see. Thank you for your praise and validation :-)
You’re so happy all the time I love it. Even when some sighted people aren’t very helpful in your other videos you never get mad you’re always so nice. I’m glad I found your channel joy!
Really incredible and inspirational. Keep sharing more videos. It helps people with sight like me to understand the life of a blind and the fact that even though eyes are important, it is the will, mind and perception which actually gives you actual sight.
You are seriously the cutest! Such a sweet mama! Your voice is my favorite! So beautiful and sweet and soothing and your writing is lovely! What else do you remember from having sight? Do you remember much?
In the southern US “yes ma’am” and “no ma’am” and “yes sir” and “no sir” are very common to hear, and regularly heard . It is respectful for those saying, and respected by those addressed as such,
@@jamesbulldogmiller lol I was just about to comment this. Here in the southern US, we hear it all the time. So much so that in some cases, hearing yes or no by itself can throw someone off lol
It was a requirement in schools when I was a child and a show of respect to adults that children were addressing. I’m in my 40’s and it still falls out of my mouth as quickly as yes or no.
You are adorable Joy, so cute, you did great. I love your sense of humor, so awesome. I love you bunches. ♡♡ :-) I'm so impresses, you're such a blessing in my life :-) you always being a smile to my face whether we talk, text or when I see a video of yours!! Such a joy you are, get it haha xx
Your daughter is so respectful! I live in the south and If I don’t say yes ma’am to my mom .. it’s scary haha. Here it’s really great manners to respect your elders especially. You are such a wonderful mom! And your daughters seem like amazing kids. What a beautiful family !
Thank you, teaching my girls beautiful manners to respect others. I am a southern girl, and even though we don’t live in the south, I believe it’s very important to past these respectful ways forward,
Damn watching this makes me not take my vision for granted. I always joke that im blind when i dont have my glasses but videos like this really make you appreciate it. She’s pretty good for someone who cant see what they’re writing
Ryan Lynch Yeah! She was born with some vision, so it's only natural that she has those from muscle memory. Blinking is also good because it keeps both sets of her eyes from getting too dry.
Your cursive is great. I can see with(I have glasses though) and my cursive is horrendous. Also your stars were good! They were all so close to connecting but the 4th star was the best when it connected! It’s so sweet you can write notes to your girls to give them a little surprise even though you can’t see. I wish my parents wrote things to me in my lunch. Lol . Your doing great
I'm so glad your so brave and strong everyday not many people would do this because of the hate they might get but that's what makes you different because your doing something that benefits you and makes you such a hardworking woman
I have a cute challenge for you, if you are okay with it. Try drawing faces of your family members, Antonia and Arabella (the way they looked or how you feel they look like) on different sheets of paper. It would be fun to see the output! You can frame the sketches and this could be a lovely gift from you to your family too! Let me know if you liked the idea :)
I need to learn cursive again. My penmanship with cursive was so beautiful until I had to start writing at a super sonic speed and I changed into this standard font.
You're such a beautiful lady and have such amazing daughters and husband. I love how you have such a positive outlook on life. Your doing a great job..... just wanting to clarify is Isabelle saying 'yes ma'am'? If so ive never heard that being called to mom before lol
I write in circle sentence short on white background. I have colored filter lens glasses helps me reading(reading by the color) but writing is hard, not able straight line. 😕 lousy eh yours are beautiful 👍😊
Hello Joy and girls!! Great job!! Joy, can you tell us how you lost your vision? It is probably on another video that I haven’t seen yet. Joy, do you still dream at night and see in your dreams? I love you and your family, fur babies too! ❤️🐈🐈🐈
Catlady003 She explained in another video or comment she didn’t have vision in her right eye and then lost all vision later due to a genetic condition.
Joy sorry for the off topic question.. I have a seizure dog..she let's me know when I'm not right..I got her card from the ADA..I have to move but my new landlord wants papers..was I jipped as far as having to get my baby certified.. She just helps so much
I'm blind as well and I can write most of the cursive alphabet and I've een blind since 2. I can also write numbers from 1 to 0. My sighted peers are fascinated how I can do it.
You write better than me!...Stupid hand tremors! 😂😋... Also, if I were to write in dim light, that's how close I'd be to the board. HAHA! 😋... It's quite interesting to see you try to write after going blind over time...On America's Got Talent once, there was a woman who progressively lost her hearing and she could still sing wonderfully just by feeling the vibrations of the music and the muscle memory of singing before her hearing went completely out... On Dancing With The Stars, there was a completely deaf man who danced by, again, feeling the vibration of the music...I'm not sure if he was blind as well or not...Another lady on the same show got in an accident and couldn't feel her legs from the waist down, but was not paralyzed...I don't know how she managed to do that show... It's amazing how strong, introspective and brave being disabled makes us...Even though we can have some really tough days, being disabled doesn't change or personality and who we are as people, you know!... Bravo to you! 👏👏👏😎😎
Have you considered trying to draw? Your cursive is really good, so I think you could do good continuous line drawings! Usually to do those people stare at whatever they're trying to draw and don't look at the paper or lift their pencil from the paper while they draw. I know you can't stare at what you're drawing but maybe you could use your free hand to see with! I don't know, I thought you might have fun and I bet you could make something wonderful.
your daughter has wonderful manners! you taught her well.
Lol if I were you, I would constantly be making blind jokes, like "and now I'm going to draw a cat with a red marker." and then pull out a green marker and draw a house or something lol

Bahaha i was gonna say this!!!
Your writing is beautiful!
Just wondering how do you edit your videos?
I love how Isabell says yes mam it’s so funny and cute 😂

I’m from australia so i don’t hear the phrase mam often, its quite strange hearing a child say it to a mum haha
