You are a huge inspiration to me, Im a 🇺🇸live 🇷🇺. I have been photographing Russia and the Eastern Europe for about 3 years on my 4x5, 120, and 35mm cameras. I have watched your amazing videos for years and have always had a deep interest in wetplate. I recently came across a woman in a small village that was selling her husbands old chemical stuff. By some miracle it was 7L collodion, 5kg potassium bromide, 500g potassium iodine, 500g cadmium bromide, 500g-600g ammonium bromide ,5L glacial acetic acid, 2kg ferro sulfate, 20L 95-98% denatured alcohol, lots of beakers, flasks, funnels, and a oil lamp. All of this was his left from his wetplate days and had passed away 3 years ago. She sold it all for 250USD. So as fate might have it I will soon be beginning my wetplate adventure. I have so many questions. Is it possible to email or dm some of them to you? Thank you have a wonderful day
I love the idea! I learned everything by watching your videos and my own experiences. A manual will be perfect, I'll have to buy it, I'm still learning new things about the process all the time. Top shit!
I can't wait! I'd definitely buy it. If you need some help, I've done editing for technical writing before for a few companies and would be happy to proofread the book for you.
Hi, I have enjoyed this video it was very funny some portion of the video and very very funny 🤣🤣🤣thank you for it by the way do you mix albumin with something or just say use it pure? I am experimenting now with it and use it for my ambrotypes.good luck 🥚🍳
It depends on what camera it is , if it's one of the earlier roll film model it's very easy just need to load the plates on the darkroom but if it's one of the newer model like packfilm ones or sx-70 or 600 it would need a aaaa lot of nodding
@@briansegarra9312 it is a pack film model, but I was thinking of modifying a used pack film pack to hold the plates and having a black slide in front to pull out just like the pack film. I wish they hadn't stopped making the pack film. Thus the only modification would be shutter speed/exposure rate right?
@@sarahhoward9081 yes you can modify the packfilm cartridge and fit plates on the darkroom, i would normally recommend use nd filter on the light sensor on the camera but as plates are very slow idk if they made nd filter that high maybe look at a manual shutter modificación that can be done on some models
Hey Borut! All your plates are fully subbed? We didn't sub our plates at our workshop.. You'd better be writing how to sub plates in your manual! Shiggy
It's impossible to redevelop a plate without subbing them with albumen. At least the edges. We surely did sub them. Send me an email, I'll send you workshop notes.
I'll be the first to buy that book. Thank you for your commitment.

Keep up the good work my friend. I actually love very much exploring things on this process and collecting technical books! great idea!
Interesting test :-) Looking forward to seeing the results :-)
awesome!!! looking forward to your manual!!
Very happy to hear about your idea to write a collodion book. Can’t wait!!
Superca! There will be loads of interesting results and this kind of testing should give really correct, usefull and detailed results! Cant wait ...
Great to see you back @Borut Peterlin! I assume that you have to wait until the albumen is dried before pouring the collodion, right?
very beautifull! I book a copy. great idea, thanks
I'll look forward to this - bravo and good luck.

Any tips on setting up an old poloroid land camera for wet plate collodion?
No, I have never done it. But others have done it many times. Good luck
@@BorutPeterlinPhotography thank you, and nice work!
