I don't know about the actual game quality, but that windy spot at 4:15 with the foliage wiggling and their hair flowing in the breeze is really well done. Whatever the take is on the Ubisoft game mechanics, nobody builds atmospheric open worlds as well as they do.
My friend told me that during their demo, they were in a blaster fight, and accidentally left cover but the guys shooting didn't track, so they just walked back out of cover and did the spin on the spot dance and for like 20 seconds the AI still fired at the cover before finally turning and trying to hit the character, but then my friend just stopped moving and still wasn't getting hit... the was 'politely' asked to leave 'so others could try'. Not allowed to get too good a look at the broken jank apparently...
8:37 been watching y’all since Watch Dogs days, I love how y’all joke around & push the games to the limits & get real creative with it 😂 they’re made to be enjoyed this way!
"We have put multiple types of open world racing into our game, which TH-camrs shall we get for authentic gaming open beta testing?" "Let's get Mike, as he has always immediately abandoned the main plot for any racing even if it's not supposed to be in the game" "Yes, he certainly won't ignore all the racing side quest options" 😁
This seems to be the next game everyone’s queued up to hate but it looks perfectly serviceable as an open world Star Wars game. I think fans of this kind of game aren’t particularly vocal online and would probably be surprised to learn that “everyone” “hates” it.
"Everyone" hated Avatar too, but while it's a completely nonsense story and mechanically broken, it's great fun. I expect this to be pretty similar, even if you're not a 12 foot shotgun ninja.
I find that as long as you only play every fourth or so stereotypical Ubisoft game, they become fun with some notable flaws rather than being offensively generic and bloated.
Great entertainment all round, especially from Andy and Mike, with his different style of play than you would expect, to Andys great annoyance, but it made it all the more entertaining and engaging to watch.
Trying to be optimistic…hoping this game lives up to moderate expectations. Even if it is horrible, I will eagerly await the Oxbox playthroughs for the excellent sarcastic humor
So obviously we need a "Lets play Stealth optional" series. Pretty please? Just live stream the boring bits like resource collection. Still gonna be fun content.
This area is hostile area, the Huts are probably hostile area... so basically, everything the light touches is hostile area, even that shadowy place over there!
Yay a new Star Wars game. I'm in. Can't wait to play it....I wonder who made it, I'll just have a quick lo...oh...oh no.....Ubisoft. So that'll be a storefront with a game attached. I'm back out again. Sorry, it may well be good I don't want the first thing I see when I load up a game is upselling.
Does Verrick have a sidekick fiance called Julie? and btw - what happened to the audio quality? Wrong mic? (It was definitely the real Mike playing though)
This looks fun! I never did gel with the whole force side of things, rogue is more my style. Btw Nix does not look like a facehugger, it looks like a salamander!
What, Jizz wailing is a noble profession in star wars, and who could forget Max Rebo and his Galactic Jizz Wailers, or their shootout with Figran Dan and the Modal Nodes?
Good gameplay but this game looks so bland. Something feels off about it , like they just used their standard, over-used formula and slapped star wars on top of it.
@@SuperCaspermanhe’s a “flat out hater” for simply saying the game looks bland? Lmao okay troll clearly we found another paid shill. The game looks pretty stale. It has 360 era effects and graphics. The world looks pretty empty until you arrive at an enemy base. KOTOR had more NPCs on a map than this. And wtf is going on with Kay Vess’s face? Go look up the model used to mocap her, this Doesnt look anything like Humberly González. This game is coming from a billion dollar publisher that brags that they are making “AAAA” games yet releasing games that look worse than AA and some Indy projects. It’s embarrassing
@@Lawrence_Talbot The original comment is just the basic Ubisoft hate comment formula. Just repeat the same shit over and over. Ironically these copy paste comments always claim they're lazy copy paste games...
It's only been in the games for (almost) 20 years. Plenty milking left for them. Ubisoft continually get so close to making a great game, but instead of taking a chance with something new, they stick to the same formula. I'm not overly interested in the game, but I hope I'm wrong!
I don't play videogames but like being mad at them, especially when some rando influencer says I should be mad at them, which is why I really appreciate the TH-cam comments section
That the stealth mechanics are REALLY annoying in this game is the biggest piece of feedback I have heard from everyone given early access. And that is really important feedback for the developers. I hope they take it on board and adjust it before launch.
Cool well if you played videogames you’d know that this games has loads of problems from just watching the gameplay and hearing early access reviews criticisms. Like gawdawful graphics and facial animations, horrible stealth mechanics, the fact that when the character does takedowns the guards guns will hover in mid air, the fact you headshot people in the face yet they don’t die however you can just backhand a stormtrooper in full armor and he immediately falls to the ground. But again you wouldn’t recognize all these faults since you don’t play video games and just troll the comments
Ah so you watched the rando influencer too, glad we all have our talking points coordinated. It's important to jump on terminally online bandwagons to feel like we're a part of something important
only a Brit can say that and not laugh at it even if he his cracking everyone else up (now if it was called Spunk Music on the other hand. wait that cat thing is your pet 10/10 gonna add this to wishlist now
I feel like Mike should start a consultancy where he exclusively stress-tests games with stealth mechanics 😁
one day "it passed the full mike test" will be a badge of honor for game quality assurance.
Can’t wait to see Verrick pull out a bowcaster called Blanka.
Chew bianka.... I'm sorry

Bienka!
I understood that reference.
“The stealth’s gone badly…” - Mike
Surprising no one!
Past Mike healing when Andy said he should makes me think Mike has an inner Andy voice
You cant make everyone happy, might as well make every angry- mike
A guide how to play this game.😂😂😂
Ubisoft's design philosophy
It's all gone a bit Mike 😂
5:07 Don't judge Mike, he's just very thorough.
Now we know there's fall damage!
Since when did Ubisoft games not have that? I think you can negate fall damage in Odyssey but I think that ability needs to be unlocked.
Andy's staunch scepticism in Mike's gaming ability is unreasonably funny! Salty Andy is best Andy! 😂😂
That 'easy' stealth approach went a bit Mike, rather quickly
I don't know about the actual game quality, but that windy spot at 4:15 with the foliage wiggling and their hair flowing in the breeze is really well done. Whatever the take is on the Ubisoft game mechanics, nobody builds atmospheric open worlds as well as they do.
Incredibly soft tree trunk.
You make a good point. Everyone can complain all they want but ignore some great mechanics and technological leaps in game design.

Your mom is incredibly soft.

8:06 Boardrooms of Canada, that famous Scottish duo creating corporate downtempo electronic music for multinationals.
I fail to see the problem here, this is normal Mike gameplay 😂
I love watching Mike play games, you can't give the man a bomb and not expect some joyful chaos.
Why do i get "mum is still angry at dad cause of GTA Online shenanigans" vibes from Andy?
Me: This alarm sounds like a Prodigy song.
*10 seconds later*
Mike: Smashed my shins up
😬
"You can't make everyone happy, so you might as well make everyone angry"
I didn't believe even for a second that this stealth mission would go well for Mike

yeah, heard it has... a lot of issues.
Classic Mike stealth play.
Disney retconed the name of the music, now it's "Jatz"

This is so my play style, go in with the best intentions of stealth and failing miserably. Good to know it's an option.

Bold of you to assume those worked in this early access demo :p
every time I see a dramatic cliff that you're not allowed to take the quick way down without dying, I think this game needs a hang glider.

It's 140$ plus battle pass to be able to play this masterpeice guys

13:45 that ps2 explosion tho 🤐
What ps2 game had such sharp explosions?
It’s windy everywhere, except on the pc’s head

That's a damn fine Michael Caine impression!
Plant a bomb?!? Old Ben Kenobi shakes his head, pulls his hood back up, and walks off...
I'm also imagining the person who gave you the job watching from the cliff thinking 'wtf?'....
This game looks fun. And Nix looks like a cool companion. I call Nix the little axolotl dog.
I had a blast with Fenyx Rising, so I just want this to look good and not to be 100 hr long and I’ll peobably have fun with it.
Yeah, it needs to be at least 150 hours long to justify the price.
You'll get one of those... I can't wait to find out which!
Han Solo sees Mike's game play and even he thinks "Well that's a bit much"
Mic quality seems . . . weird ?
5:58 ha, a "root" in!
Andy's enthusiasm is intoxicating
I had a bad feeling the moment I realized Mike was doing a stealth mission, and I was NOT disappointed by the outcome.
"Just a guy out for a morning jog with his gun" was quite relatable, but I don't think it was meant to be.
Blues Travelers, Rolling Stones, Jiz Wailers ...
Monda's voice actor sounds very familiar.
This needs a 3 ways to play series
“Welcome to show of the week”?? Please??
I JUST platinumed Ghost of Tsushima this week and it looks like I know where I'm going next.
Seems fun but I'm not giving Ubisoft anymore of my money. I'll wait till it hits GamePass a few months down the line lol
Will likely not hit gamepass since Ubisoft has it's own thing going (can't remember the name of it)
BUDGET?! I exclaim, spitting out a mouthful of Wheat Crunchies.
Strugglin to hold back the tidal wave of adjectives to describe that! Cheers lads!
Nien Nunb is the name of one particular Sullustan. Am I helping? 😂
Oh no, this runs my otherwise flawless fanfic where a Nien Nunn gets bit by a Dracula.
I liked 5:57 taking a "root" in
Andy, I really *do* like knowing I can mess up the stealth and still make solutions happen. It is good information for me. 😂
Trying to be optimistic…hoping this game lives up to moderate expectations. Even if it is horrible, I will eagerly await the Oxbox playthroughs for the excellent sarcastic humor
For example: “maybe he went out for a morning jog…with his gun!?!”
I think full playthroughs might be kinda donezo. When was the last one? Deadspace remake?
Daruda Diner: where the jukebox only plays one song
Andy's strict boss genes
Yarael the Jedi loves music. But I do too so, fair play.
Did you guys also get taken on the VIP Disneyland tour? People are starting to think Ubisoft is buying TH-camrs to give favourable takes on the game.
Great Quick Look at this game, guys. Hopefully Ubisoft shows you guys the fun parts of it later!
I'd love a 'Three ways to play' Outlaws.
All hail the void. We'll miss you old friend.
A button that shows what you can interact with?
They should put that in Hitman!
So obviously we need a "Lets play Stealth optional" series.
Pretty please? Just live stream the boring bits like resource collection. Still gonna be fun content.
Use of "Verrick" probably not an IP/TM infringement case, but it's distracting lol They'll get the C&D when his blaster's name is "Bee-yanka"
I swear all Ubisoft games are the same. From recent memory. "Ah Avatar but Far Cry", now its "Ah Star Wars but Far Cry".
I live for andy narating small animals lol
This is hitman all over again. I'm pumped for some 3 ways to play!
Now I want this game, a Nix plushie and a bag of Wheat Crunchies! They were top tier crisp!
Wheat crunches! Does anyone remember Smiths Tubes?
I vaguely remember seeing Toobs. Never had them myself.
I wouldn’t say you played poorly. I’d say you played creatively. 🙂

I was thinking a Puppetmaster from that old sci-fi movie Puppetmasters.
Star Wars Episode IV: A Bit Mike.
Looks nice for now . Is it like fallout is there a lot of side quest and different weapons
This game looks like its just a Red Dead mod so far.
Not keen on the J.J. Abrams lens flare, but otherwise it looks beautiful. Shame it's Ubisoft.
Andy of all people gets this demonetized in 48 secs 😮
What, Jizz wailing is a noble profession in star wars, and who could forget Max Rebo and his Galactic Jizz Wailers, or their shootout with Figran Dan and the Modal Nodes?
I think stealth makes Mike physically ill.
So you'd make a good Han -- as long as you shoot first.
The game is an overall enjoyable experience
Good gameplay but this game looks so bland. Something feels off about it , like they just used their standard, over-used formula and slapped star wars on top of it.
But that basically is what they did. They stole some gameplay mechanics from Lara Croft as well though to be fair to them.
