I'm glad they did that on the musical. On the original book, *SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS* Elphaba *died* by the water and Fiyero was killed off-screen.
