I think the Berserker would be genuinely impossible, at least if you include the Omniscient fight. I know he bypasses that fight with non-magical Jobs for the sake of not pointlessly sitting around for literal hours waiting for Omniscient's massive MP pool to drain, but in the case of Berserker even that wouldn't even be an option.
You might be able to cheese it with Mage Mashers, since they have the chance to cast Silence, but I don't know off the top of my head if Omniscient is immune to Silence or not. I also wouldn't want to run the numbers on the luck you'd need to keep it silenced the entire fight.
Okay. Confusing enemies to get Blue Magic is supposed to work, but since you played the PR version before it got patched (that added boost etc.) said quirk was bugged, and Confused enemies always casted the blue spells on themself. The recent patch should fix said bug.

This is the joy of blue mage. Even in FF14, it's either completely underwhelming, Horrifically unbalanced, and always Arcane and confusing. But I love it. It's my favorite class.

But actually finding the spells and such was a different story, lol. I remember trying Blue Mage out and getting Goblin Punch and Aero and that was about it. I wish they had more in game ways to find out if a monster had a blue magic spell or not.
It's not really cheating to use the control command if it means getting the full experience out of the blue mage class. Just like it's fine to smash rods if you can
This series is so cool. Really enjoying it, as someone who also does FF5 challenge runs. You probably already know, but you can change your weapon and shield slots in-battle. I think that may have helped in a couple spots for the Black Mage run. Also, you can indeed learn Whitewind from a confused enemy, but it's not in the script for the Metamoph's version of Enchanted Fan. Regular Enchanted Fan has it, though, and can be encountered again in the Sunken Tower. You also can get Mighty Guard from a confused Stingray. You just had bad luck. Version I run is Pixel Remaster as well, btw.
The Charm spell on Vampire (the Blue Mage job from Bravely Defauly) DOES actually make enemies use their helpgul abilties on you. I am very thankful for that. Also confusion can work as well
When it comes to L2 Old and Time Slip, the "Window Cancellation Trick" is seriously one of the best ways to abuse Death By Math. The timing of it can be tricky at times, though.

Specially once Krile joins the party. Every time she dances there is a chance Steven Segal jumps (what? lol. I meant waddles) out of a bush and tries to make her his new Girlfriend.
First time viewer. Decent video overall. 🤙 There's no question, the Blue Mage is cracked. The class has the tools for almost any situation, and "Death By Math" is usually good for a laugh, especially against NED/TED at the end of the game. The only class that I had that much fun with was the Chemist (of whom I named my Bartz/Butz "W. White", for obvious reasons). Tempting Tango from the Dancing Dagger can be such a headache to use at times. You really need a White Mage in your party in order to fully take advantage of the Confuse ability from the dagger. That being said, the Blue Mage can pretty much nuke any boss, to include the two Superbosses (Omega/Shinryu). Omega is a bit of a pain though because you can't really kill him without 1000 Needles/Blowfish. Although I know you didn't choose to grind at Black Flame Island (just north of Cresent Island), one thing that I found to be helpful in W1 was grinding for Flame Rings in Istory. Being able to use Flamethrower/Emission to heal yourself came in clutch a few times prior to getting White Wind in Ronka/Lonka Ruins. Speaking of grinding for stuff, I also opted to grind for Frost Rods and Angel Rings for Gilgame (Gil Turtle) in W2. Using Tempting Tango (or Mediator/Beastmaster's !Control command) on Poison Eagles (up in Drakenvale) for Float really helped out against Gil Turtle. My only minor complaint about the video? No references to the "Blue Man Group" musical act. 🙃 😅 (Ah well, can't win'em all.)
