Just came back from Rogue City. Surprisingly, an amazing game. Total Fan Service. I played the NES version a lot when I was a kid. I never liked how RoboCop had punching as his default weapon. Ironically, every other RoboCop game I _didn't_ play had him with a gun the whole time lol. Until RoboCop Vs Terminator-Gen, that game blew my mind. Man, how time flies.
I had it on amiga. Wasn't a bad game. It had some other types of weapons, enemies, bosses and quick time events besides the basic punching and pistol shooting in the clip. I'd put in the top 3 robocop games easily.
Robocop 2 The Arcade Game and Robocop vs Terminator on the Megadrive were not only my two favourite Robocop games but also among my favourite video games ever made!
It does, especially if they find the right balance between a fun experience and a having a fan service without getting to cynical levles. Terminator Resistance does it brilliantly, so I hope the lessons learned there carry over.

The action combined with the interaction between the characters, Peter Weller doing the voice for Alex Murphy/RoboCop, the story and the soundtrack have made this game an amazingly enjoyable experience. I got excited like a kid when RoboCop kills Wendell Antonovsky. Totally epic!
Robocop Vs Terminator (SEGA ver. not those family friendly SNES ver.) is hand down the best Robocop game ever. The gore, the music, the level, the enemies (literally Arnold Terminator) and finally, in the end we can face to face (pun intended) to The Skynet. Man... what a ride!
@@Romchikthelemon yes, because it's keeping true to the original movie (not like those 2014 reboot). or imagine playing mortal kombat without fatalities (or bone cracking moves set). or playing cod mw/sniper elite but with nerf gun, or play doom without "the gore ", main weapon fly swatter 😁 also if you don't like the genre, you definitely can skip it 😊
That cancelled Robocop on PS1 intrigues me. I want to know more about it! I knew that Robocop vs the Terminator got an unreleased NES game but had no idea one was in development for the PS1. Gentleman, I can hereby definitively say RoboCop: Rogue City is a i’ll be at janky but beautiful masterpiece that is 150% worth your time and money if you are a Robo fam in any way 🤙🏻
I don't think rogue city will be game of the year but I still think it will be a good game and clearly the best attempt at a robocop game its pretty hard to make a game with this ip
I doubt they'd do an on rails shooter considering the last time they did that was that terrible Rambo game from 2018. Thankfully Terminator Resistance was damn good so I have faith the new game will be good too.

It's just amazing. Thirty year have passed since 1993 but no one’s ever been able to create anything as cool as Robocop vs Terminator
It's funny to see how it evolves in the opposite direction chronologically from arcade to consoles.
That 1988 'arcade' one was available on the Amiga and Atari ST with the same quality. Such a difference from consoles! 😅

if there is no 3rd person view (optional) so we can enjoy Robocop look then it's not promising at all
