His Swordsman design is simply the coolest thing.
I used to not like it because I always questioned why a flying blob would downgrade to a swordsman form but then I realized he's using telekinesis to wield the sword, using the sword to protect his eye, & sometimes using the clothes to make it hard to tell where his eye is or the viser when he needs to see but still needs to protect his eye.
Or at least that's how he's animated in Rivals of Aether. It's actually brilliant. Even the big spiky hair makes sense because it exploits people's natural instinct to go for the head, which isn't his weak spot. It's kinda like Abraham Lincoln's hat.
Multiple assassination attempts failed because people shot the hat. It's like you know there's nothing worth hitting there & yet that's where your eyes & hands are drawn.

I just assumed that, since he's only a spy/scout for the hive of Dark Matter, he could've used that disguise to look more like a humanoid and less like a blob of pure darkness, to more easily infiltrate amongst the Dream Landers and seize control of whoever he found to be the one in charge, Dedede.
On the other hand, given how there's an old guide book that mentions how he only attacks Dream Land because he's jealous of other people's friendships, while he can't even bring himself to be able to ask anyone to be his friend (which I like to interpret as him being unable to comprehend the concept of friendship, yet desiring it immensely, since how it seems to make others so happy); mixing that with how Dark Matter embodies not only the darkest parts of everyone in the Cosmos, but also a complete void of emotions and feelings, with their leader being literally named 0 for that same reason...
...and we may get a being that tried desperately to fit in with the other Dream Landers, probably what the disguise could've been for, but was ultimately unable to create connections with any of them, due to his inability to comprehend friendship. Seeing everyone so happy, while he had to live in the misery of unfeelingness, probably pushed him to take revenge on everyone, and conquer Dream Land to take as his own. Perhaps him destroying the Rainbow Bridges not only served as a good way to get rid of a potential weakness, but also as a symbol of him taking away from Dream Land what he could never have: a way to connect with others.

The fact Dark Matter is so utterly incomprehensible that even a Wish Maker, at it's absolute limit, could only simulate one of the most rudimentary emanations of Dark Matter. And even then apparently it couldn't even fully recreate Dark Swordsman, only a very simple, instinctual version.
Star Dream is among the strongest enemies in Kirby simply for its wish powers, yet it is utterly dwarfed by the Legendary Rogue Hero and much more by Dark Matter.
His soul os is the strongest enemy, he had a 99.99% to wipe all existing life.

Technically Star Dream is just the core of a clockwork star, disconnected from the main body, modified away from its original programming. It’s not a wish maker at its absolute limit, it’s a broken chunk of a wish maker trying its best.

Dark Matter is basically the Metroid of the Kirby games.
This Fight gets even crazier when you realise that Star Dream, on top of Partially reviving the dead(Susie), Can also partially Reproduce Segments of Void. The Clockwork Stars are Genuinely able to Make more Gods / Kirby level beings.
It's been a few years since I've played the game, but I'm pretty sure the reason StardDream couldn't fulfill Haltmann's wish to revive Susie was because she never died, she just got sent to another dimension.
One thing I never understood was wheter the Ark was built around a Clockworck Star or if StarDream transformed the Ark into one during the fight. Either way, it's rather impressive.
@@RodrigoPereira-ws8ok I don’t remember exactly what the lore stated or if it was clearly explained but I think the Access Ark was built over the clockwork star and Star Dream was just the final piece of the star. The lore I remember did say that Haltmann was trying to finish the programming of the computer since he “rediscovered it” and tried to turn the machine back on so that he can use it to grant the wish to bring back Susie who never died and inexplicably came back. That’s why the countdown in the 3rd phase of the battle ends with “FATAL ERROR” because it can’t grant the wish since she’s already alive.
@@rebirthphoenix5646 By Phase 3 of the battle, Star Dream has grown sapient and explicitly stated that its goal is to wipe out all organic life in the universe, and given that it's a sapient clockwork star, it can grant its own wishes to do so. I've always interpreted that fatal error to be what's left of Haltmann holding Star Dream back, since by that point Star Dream would have no reason to keep trying to grant Haltmann's wish.
@@RodrigoPereira-ws8ok IIRC the clockwork star is Star Dream's true body and the Ark is built around it like armor. The giant screw form is basically Star Dream's brain.

@@swagmudkip2065 I think that Dark Matter would be an evolving Legendary like Type: Null or Cosmog, except that it'd actually be good in battle.
Dark Matter has a BST of 580, like the Legendary Birds.
It has two forms like the Forces of Nature, the swordsman and the true form.
The swordsman is a Ghost/Fighting mixed attacker with emphasis on its bulk over its speed. It shares the same base 100 HP with the true form, 130 physical attack, 100 Special Attack, 120 Defense, 60 Speed, and 70 Special Defense.
The true form is a Dark/Ghost type fast special attacker. Its Speed increases to 120, its Special Attack is a whole 140, its physical attack is 60, and its defense stats are both 80.
Once it gets to Level 60, it'll evolve into 0, which has the boxart legendary 680 BST.

What are you talking about? Dark Matter is either directly at fault for or involved in the plot for the majority of all kirby games. (Dreamland 1, Adventure, Super star/ultra, Mass Attack (debatable), Canvas Curse (Debatable) being exceptions.)
If Anything, dark matter in its entirety is why Kirby keeps having to fight nightmarish abominations. It has been the main Villain for like 20 years at this point.

I find it neat that even when Dark Matter was introduced back in Kirby 2 the theme of friendship was engrained even back then since it wanted friendship but had no idea how to get it, so it was only able to be jealous.
Now we need another fight against the ORIGINAL dark matter.
The funny thing is that we only fought ball dark matter at Kirby's Dreamland 2 and 3 and nowhere else.... (excluding spinoffs like Kirby Quest)

In lore, zero is more like the manifestation of void terminas negative emotions, which explains why zero has SO much of it.
Even in Kirby Robobot it could have been possible that star dream would have summoned Fecto ellfilis even before Kirby and the forgotten land came out I'm guessing

Probably because in the original Dark Matter fight in Dreamland 2, the final phase (which the music from that phase was remixed into this with hints from phase 1)
was on a timer and Kirby lost a life if you take too long

She probably didn't. It seems like scouts found remains of Dark Matter on the planet and brought it back to HQ, where Star Dream of course had access to it. Star Dream was destroyed at the end of the game, so it highly unlikely that Susie managed to leave the Access Ark with any sort of DNA samples of Dark Matter.
