    I don't know if I have the skill to do this stitch but I'm going to try. I've never seen the aryan look by crochet, only the knitted ones. Such a great looking pattern. Thank you for sharing.

    Good evening Bonnie, I'm about to shop for yarn for your honeycomb scarf pattern and noticed under the video it calls it an Aran Honeycomb scarf, yet when reading us the information off the label of the preferred yarn is a DK weight yarn.Im now questiong if it's Aran or Dk, it does look more Aran to my eye? Thankyou in advance for clearing this up for me

    • @BonnieBayCrochet
      @BonnieBayCrochet  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      This was definitely the DK yarn. The cabling with crochet always looks thicker than knitting in my experience. This is why I prefer the thinner yarns for these textures when making garments.

    Hi! I love this scarf and your work. But I have a problem I've started over this scarf like 4 times now and I no matter how carefully I follow instructions, something goes wrong each time. I have 37 double crochets in "ROW 1",
    I start "ROW 2" with 2 front posts. But by the end of ROW 2 what I have is the final 2 front posts 1 lonely stich and then the chain? For some reason I always end up with that. I don't have the two last front/backs posts AND the chain that goes up as I see in your video, I always have this spare stich in between the chain and the last pair of front-back posts?
    Also when you start ROW 3 you begin with 2 front posts, so that means you finished row 2 with 2 back posts right?
    But in my scarf row 2 ends with two front posts so the only way I could start row 3 with front posts is reversing each stitch.
    I know the explanations is confusing as hell haha, sorry... To sum up. If this is a front post(=), this is a back post(-), this is a double crochet (¥) and this is the chain that goes up(!)...
    My first 2 rows endings look like this:
    ROW 2 ! ¥ = = - - = = - - = =
    ROW 1 ! ¥ ¥ ¥ ¥ ¥ ¥ ¥ ¥ ¥ ¥ ¥
    Could you please help me? Thanks in advance

    • @BonnieBayCrochet
      @BonnieBayCrochet  ปีที่แล้ว

      There are two things you can try Ghada. Try blocking this, and stretch it a bit as you pin it into place. Spray with water and let it dry overnight. This may help a lot. Going forward you may try to crochet with a size larger hook.

    hi bonnie! attempting this scarf now, what multiple of chain can i do to make it abit thinner in width? thank you !

    • @BonnieBayCrochet
      @BonnieBayCrochet  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That really all depends on how you redesign it. The honeycombs is a multiple of 8, so you can subtract 8 from the starting chain for each honeycomb you wish to omit.

    Thank you very much for this. I have been working on it for a week with a lot of try! It has been fine till row number 13 which It is just repeat of row number 9 but I can’t make it done because of to finish the honeycomb I have to do it on the 2 first stitches of the last 6 rows. I really wanted to make this.... Ive tried twice now. But its extremely hard to follow once you start the honeycomb part... you go too fast and don't show enough of the stitches you are working with, even with slowing down the video. Slowing the video doesn't help when I can't tell what stich you're going into. It's frustrating spending all that time to end up at a stopping point because I cant see what you're doing. Slowing it down and really pointing out the process would help for beginners to the honeycomb stich. Just my two cents though.

    This is good but for someone who who has no idea what back or front or where the front or back stitch is even if we’re holding it…. It’s very confusing and you moving quite fast. I think a close up of each new stitch in the beginning would help us. Also the gray yarn is not clear a brighter color would’ve worked a much better for visual purposes. And also more slower please.

    • @BonnieBayCrochet
      @BonnieBayCrochet  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is an intermediate design. Should you need to slow this video (or any video on TH-cam), simply click on the gear-shaped icon on the lower right (for computers), or the 3 vertical dots in the upper right-hand corner of your phone. This will bring up a playback speed menu. Select a slower speed and the video will play at a slower rate.

    • @BonnieBayCrochet

  • @brandonleeaguilar
    @brandonleeaguilar 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Your fingernails are more in focus than the yarn. The image keeps falling out of focus. The yarn and background are too dark to see clearly. And you’re going way too fast. Slow down Bonnie !

    • @BonnieBayCrochet
      @BonnieBayCrochet  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can totally control the speed XX XX. Look for the gear-shaped icon in the lower right (for computers) or the 3 vertical dots in the upper right-hand corner (smartphones) and click this to bring up the playback speed menu. You can slow me down as much as you like. This works for all TH-cam videos.

    • @hopepeters3094
      @hopepeters3094 ปีที่แล้ว

      Slowing it down doesn't help if you're going to fast with your fingers in the way.... you need to point out what you're doing better. Your nails block a lot. Espcially at the honeycomb part.
