Hi Yumi, can i ask something...if a 55-year old Thai uncle talking to a 30-year-old taxi driver or shopkeeper, does the 55-year old uncle usually include kap/krap at the end of the sentence? I mean when Thai oler ppl talk to a younger ppl, do they usually use kab/ka at the end of the sentence.....?
Thanks.
Yes, we put krab/ka at the end of the sentence for make it polite.
And if Thai older ppl talk to younger ppl like this it’s mean he/she so polite and have a good manner. 😊
@@yumiibkk ohh okay 🆗 Thanks for willing to reply. Now I understand more about the usage of krab/ka.
Why is there an i at the end which is not pronounced?
"Bhūmi" is the Sanskrit word for "earth".
i at the end in this case in the Thai language is silent.

Thai language sounds Indian.
It's from Sanskrit
@@BloobleBonker I don't understand how other Thai TH-cam videos say Thai sounds Chinese and Vietnamese. Thai sounds Indian, Khmer, and Kra Dai.
