It depends on what you are using it for. As a school teacher, the iPad Pro m4 has every app that teachers need. I tried MacBook Air. Took it back and stuck with my iPad. Touch screen, pencil pro Magic Keyboard does everything I need.
Not just hurt their MacBook sales, but also their app store sales. As mentioned in this video, apps are locked to the app store. You can't download apps through a web browser. So all the money Apple makes through app store payments would greatly diminish if they allow MacOS on any of their iPads. It's all about money.
Overall, it’s a good review, but I think the conclusion was a bit biased by comparing it to a MacBook Air. In my opinion, the iPad Pro generally excels in its intended purpose: it’s a hybrid device that’s between iPhone and MacBook and excels in tasks that are not practical or technically feasible on those other devices. Considering its premium features over the iPad Air and MacBook Air, I believe it’s also more accurate to consider it as a “computer alternative” to the MacBook Pro. Just like the MBPro, the majority of iPad Pro customers don’t require the extra power and features it offers over the base and Air models, but it’s still a nice-to-have.
The conclusion was brutal .. for me I chose the iPad over the MacBook simply because I can connect wherever I go using a cellular connection. The iPad m4 isn’t a computer, yet tech TH-camrs compare it to the MacBook. It has a distinct use case. I own a MacBook m3 pro and an iPad m4 pro. I’m typing on my iPad, which I mainly use for media due to its great display. I take notes and use my iPad as an extended display for my MacBook. Everyone has their own use case and you shouldn’t allow people to make decisions for you on what to buy. This guy only made this video to advertise that paper tablet thing playing like he was not sponsored.
Same for me for MDM - since I already have company-issued Windows laptop, and I don’t have that strong business justification for them getting me a MacBook, I can use my iPad as my another MDM device (aside from iPhone) that I can take to meetings faster, and other portable reasons (as long as I won’t need some Windows-exclusive apps like Power BI Desktop, SAP GUI, etc.)
The big frustration for me with the iPad is none of the browsers on the app store have extension support. That's a killer for me. Ublock in particular but there's got to be a half dozen extensions that I really hate to live without. But in particular ublock and sponsor block. Unhook.
I bought a MacBook Pro last year but returned it after a week or so. I have been a iPad Pro user since 2017 when I sold my Mac I had back then. The iPad has apps I love that are not on the Mac. Also, the touch screen is preferred for music production which is something I use it for. Great review video!
I love my m4 iPad. As an avid photographer I find the display an absolute pleasure to edit on. Really liked your breakdown. Definitely a bit too pricey.
A balanced and fair review. It is incredibly overpriced and if had budget for only 1 device would go the Air every time. However as have budget for both I love the upgrades on this model and find myself reaching for and using it significantly more than previous model.
Yes! I was kind of mad they discontinued the keyboard folio. I don’t need a trackpad or function row. It’s an iPad. If I want a computer I would get a MacBook.
@@AyoAYO-cm6hb I know right?! that's why I'm thinking if I should upgrade because not only is it great compared to what we currently have, but the new ipad pro m4 will future proof the device for at least 5 years or so (in my opinion)!
Josh, I totally agree with your assessment on if people need an iPad Pro or not. The feature limitations that apple puts into these devices is beyond annoying, especially considering how much capability the underlying architecture has. If they enabled multi-user logon, not only would Apple’s iPad Pro sales go down, but also their iPad and iPad Air sales which is a big reason why I think they don’t enable this.
Im also on a budget. Trying to save money to move into a new place but i just had to get this. Im REALLY big on displays .. and this with my hulu tv live account is just magical.
It seems that the new OLED iPads have not significantly changed the demand for tablets. We are in a saturated market, and OLED technology does not appear to be a game-changer that could spark a major sales uptick. This situation has unintended consequences, leading Apple to reconsider its OLED strategy. I've heard that they have already postponed the release of OLED MacBooks by a year, as they anticipate a similar lukewarm response to demand. The lacklustre reviews of these iPads have not helped the situation. One issue with reviews today is their inherently negative tone; they tend to judge products primarily on whether they are a worthy upgrade. This perspective overlooks the fact that tablets typically have a long upgrade cycle of about five years, making comparisons with last year's models unreasonable and unhelpful. Additionally, comparing iPads with MacBooks can be misleading, as each device serves different purposes. For instance, if I want to write or draw and come across reviews recommending a Mac over an iPad, I question the reviewer’s perspective. I believe these devices are complementary; one should choose the better iPad or MacBook based on individual needs, or buy the best of both if budget allows. In conclusion, my assessment is centred on understanding the needs of tablet users, comparing iPads to Android alternatives, and determining which iPad is suitable for you while considering budget constraints. iPad Pros cater to a niche market, with sales of only 7.5 million units a year, so they are not aimed at everyone; in fact, they serve a very small audience. Therefore, the negativity from individuals who do not grasp these points seems more like posturing than constructive feedback.
Tablet PCs are around and don’t do well, it’s because when it comes to a touch screen, tablets cater to specific use cases. They’re best as mobile OSes with more capabilities than a phone due to the larger screen, but also not really a computer replacement since that’s not what it’s for. I love my iPad Pro 13, but if I went pro from the beginning, I’d probably still be rocking an M1 iPad Pro. Outside of the limitations I was reaching with art, I didn’t even feel the need to upgrade from my Air 4 and it’s the last A-chip one. iPads last for a long time and I honestly feel like the M upgrades was to keep the longevity while also widening what kinds of apps can go on the iPad, for me all it’d take is a Blender app for me to not have much to complain about
I honestly think, besides the lack of any higher operating system, it's the most well-rounded and seamless apple device ever made, definitely overkill hardware for the software, but it just makes the current software seem so fluid
Some solid points, but I think it misses the mark to a degree. One, Apple has a range of iPads that cover price points from $350 to like $800 before you get to the iPad Pro. Two, "iPad" comes before "Pro". It's an iPad, but with all the features turned up to 11. It's not a suddenly new Mac+iPad category, and it doesn't seem to be designed as such. Three, it is a test bed for the best ideas and tech that end up getting pushed down the line to other iPads- Pencil Support, Keyboard cases, body style, M-Series chips, the screen tech, etc. When my iPad Pro launched, using the pencil was still exclusive to the Pro devices. It feels off to complain about what the Pro not adding enough to the base model or Air considering that those models wouldn't have these features if not for the Pro. Four, and I suspect this is many people, when I bought my Pro, it wasn't because I planned n replacing my Mac- I bought it because I deserve to have a few nice things, and it was the bleeding edge of what a tablet could be. Buy it for the screen, or the new keyboard case, or for it absolutely flying through everything for likely a decade. If it's not worth it to you, that's more than fine- it's why they have a whole lineup. Five, and this is my biggest gripe with this video... When it comes to the Scribe or Remarkable... You are extraordinarily limited in the apps you use. So, if you use Apple Notes, uh, no you don't. I can access my handwritten notes on all of my devices, and I can search them directly from Spotlight Search. There's also no way to scan a document on those devices to import to Notes for markup. Last thing I'll say: If you're using any computer or tablet as a productivity device either making money or running your household, amortize it over the time you'll be using it or the number of jobs you're gonna speed up with it. If you absolutely load up and drop $2K on an iPad Pro and you charge [absolutely bare bottom] $75 an hour... If you save two hours a week, it's completely paid off in like 3 months.
Appreciate your feedback and insights around why you bought a Pro. And good points about the Remarkable/Scribe, I should have mentioned those limitations with them (which is really the tradeoff with those devices. the distraction free environments basically = no additional apps/notifications etc etc). - Josh
I will always have an iPad Pro. Drawing and designing and journals have been amazing and something you can’t do on a kindle device. And I love the Dolby Atmos support for movies, shows and music for my headphones. 5G UC is amazing to play minecraft or pubg with friends on the go. It’s perfect.
Thank you for being so critical of iPadOS and iOS in general. I can't stress enough how much I hate that my M4 iPad Pro, something that's supposedly more powerful than my M3 air, feels like a toy in comparison. And I hate myself even more because I bought it anyway because it's the best device that you can buy for the right niche that I'm on - rhythm games at 120hz. The displays on the previous iPad Pros had horrendous pixel response times, but this one feels like many light years better.
The Ipad is the only product where I recommend the cheapest 10th gen Ipad for 90% of people because even if you buy the most expensive one, there's isn't anything that you can do fundamentally different on the expensive one as the cheaper one can do most of the tasks.
@@colonel_carlitoI just got the 2024 m4 but my 2019 iPad Air is still going strong , obviously slower but no or stuttering .. 95% of people definitely don’t need anything more than a base iPad /ipad air
This video was helpful. Made me realize the iPad Pro 13” is the best match for my needs. Bottom line, the display is well worth it if you stream video or game, period!
I know I’m a niche case, but I already have a new iPhone, a MacBook Pro m2 pro 14 inch that I use whenever I need that much power or macOS. But for whenever I’m on the go I just bring my iPad and a charger. The keyboard is good enough to respond to emails with or take notes with(for business purposes) and the Apple Pencil is amazing for taking notes for my math classes. I love how good the screen looks, I love how simple it is to use, and I love Face ID and center stage on FaceTime. Getting the 11 inch iPad Pro has made it possible to leave my clunky and heavy MacBook at home 90% of the time I leave while still being able to do everything I’d need to on that MacBook. Now while I’d admit that the MacBook Pro is overkill for my workflow and an air would be better, I got the m2 pro MacBook Pro at a time when it was brand new. New design language(the only thing that looked like it was the M1 Pro version of the same laptop) and the 15 inch air didn’t exist yet. I love the ability to control my fans on the macbook(through Mac’s fan control I believe it’s called). Overall I’m happy with my ecosystem and the only thing I’d change is potentially getting a MacBook Air when I do upgrade my laptop in 5 years lol.
3:21 … I almost exclusively use my iPads in portrait orientation… but I never do video calls so the ones that use it horizontal as if it were a MacBook can have this feature, I don’t mind it that much.
I am just waiting for an OLED MacBook Pro. My M1 is starting to show its age. If the next models have it it will be an instant buy for me. On an iPad with its limitations there is no way I can justify the price.
I really appreciate this video! My MacBook (2015) no longer works and I really need a new one, but they’re so expensive. I have an iPad (9th generation) but I miss the functionality of a MacBook. I was thinking of getting a new iPad until you reminded me that multi-user is not an option. So now I’m thinking about getting an iMac… or maybe the Mac Mini. Thanks so much!
I’m left-handed and it still have an issue with the Apple Pencil. When I squeeze the pencil for more options, the elliptical with three circles in it when I try to click it disappear. I sent the information to the Apple development since iOS 17 still the same problems if I was right handed for flawless only complaint I really have.
Glad I ran into this, I can look it up more! I'm left handed and currently use the 2020 iPad with the Pencil of that time. Forgot the name. I didn't even consider that the new pencil might have issues with lefthanded people. That's not good!
imo, ipad only really makes sense if you’re a student taking notes/ as a textbook(ebook) reference, or multi monitors on the go. I’ll likely be selling mine once uni is over lol
Another BIG problem with the iPad "Pro" is the inability to stream 2 audio sources at the same time. It can lead to a game of "whack-a-mole" tracking down the audio sources that are stopping your main audio from playing. It can be annoying. And it is an APPLE limitation, because sometimes iPadOS bugs out and DOES allow 2 audio sources to stream at once. It's an Apple-joke of an OS.
yup, i would have music playing and god forbid i go on amazon. the ads immediately stop my music. i'm glad i bought my ipad pro second hand for half the price because what do you mean an all powerful thousand dollar slab cannot play more than one audio source??
Or you can do what I did... bought the M1 iPad Pro 12.9 with 1TB and old Magic Keyboard and Gen 2 pencil for under $700 slightly used. I have all the functionality at about 30% of the price of the M4 version with the same configuration. A little heavier, but not much difference in the screen. I can't fathom why anyone would pay that price for this M4 version, actually.
I have the M1 iPad Pro and my husband uses it daily for web browsing and watching videos. I’m getting myself another tablet but I’m going with the Surface Pro 11 due to all the limitations of iPad OS.
Its a great ipad. I wouldnt trade it at all. I paid $1000 for the m4 pro during black friday. I edit video and photos so a couple hundred extra was no big deal. I own a macbook pro so its not a replacement… power users need both. The real crime is $1299 for an iphone.
Why do TH-camrs insist on comparing iPad Pro to MacBook Air, when the 14 inch MacBook Pro is the more appropriate comparison? Both “Pros” have advanced displays (mini LED and OLED) along with 120 hz Pro Motion and surround sound stereo speakers. The MacBook Air has NONE of these! Also, stop assuming that most buyers are deciding between these two devices. Many of us have both some flavor of MacBook AND some flavor of iPad! Would love to see some independent and original thinking among content creators, for a change.
Fair point, we should have included a comparison with the MacBook Pro. The reason why I included the Air was more to address the questions I often see from those who are looking for a device they can type on, surf the web, check social media, watch content, and get work done on. A lot of time, people ask whether that device is an iPad or MacBook (sure some people may have both flavors, but a lot of people have limited budgets for their tech purchases and only budget for one device for these types of workloads). The MacBook Air for a lot of people is the right form factor, has comparable weight to the iPad Pro with Magic Keyboard, plus its much cheaper. However, you’re totally right about the upgrades you get with the MacBook Pro, the better screen, Pro Motion Display, etc. That would be interesting to compare against the iPad. - Josh
I think the m4 iPad Pro is great. I will agree that the limitations of the OS are annoying. But it's kind of hard to beat for what I use it for which is a way to do 3D art on the go. The Air at 8GB RAM isn't enough but the Pro with 16 GB RAM with the 1TB SSD just about hits the minimum to be useful. so when I compare the MacBook pro equivalent it's not a bad option. It's $2500 for the iPad pro or $1800 for the MacBook pro with 1TB storage and 16 GB of ram + $750 for something like the Wacom Movink. So same price but one is significantly heavier than the other solution. I lose some of the software of the laptop but what I gain in portability more than makes up for it. Not to mention i can do 80% of the work on the iPad.
to be more specific the pro uses an M4 chip vs the m2 chip in the ipad air therefore using more power however I dont see why a power plan cant be created for this is, 'say you know your not going to use the full capabilities of the m4 chip just limit/controll what is used through power plan and in return gain more battery life equivalent to the m2 chip in the ipad air
Basically I bought it because it’s more future proof. My last iPad lasted 7 years and I want this one to last as much and I’m not willing to spend other 7 years with a non OLED 60hz display.
This kinda is where I'd suggest looking into sites like Taobao, I know Amazon or aliexpress are some of the options but the products that they do have can't compare. ATM what I am using is this full glass protector with no notch cut out and a removable paper like layer that I shove into the back to solve the screen clarity and drawing problem
I'm searching for a tablet not a MacBook if i wanted a MacBook i would've never looked at the iPad to begin with so instead of comparing it to a MacBook why not compare it to other premium tablets
Was anyone else stressed out watching someone print their signature? It just bugged me so much for some reason! Lol. Anyways. Good video. I have an M1 11-inch Pro that is great for my needs, but I find myself using my Tab S10+ more often due to its great multitasking. Plus, I actually like how it uses Gemini with the AI key for quick access. Minor thing, but it helds for my uses.
Turn notifications off on your iPad. Just have them on your phone. If you don’t want to be distracted put your phone in your bag. Or leave it on the desk if you want to see them. Notifications on an iPad are too distracting and annoying.
Me if the reasons Apple won’t add Mac OS to IPad capabilities is because of the battery. Not only does the IPad not have a cooling fan to keep it from overheating with how much they pack into the iPad and how much rearranging they had to do just to have the same 9-10 hour battery. If they added all the stuff a Mac was able to do the iPad would probably only last 4-5 hours of use before needing a charge.
I have an old 12” MacBook 2017 that works fine when I occasionally need a computer for websites that won’t work on iPad. Got the new iPad mini because I’ve always wanted that size. Have an old 2018 12.9” iPad Pro for watching content when my 75” tv is too much, but my iPhone 14 Pro Max isn’t enough. The 11” oled iPad Pro might be the next thing calling my name for the screen upgrade over my old pro.
I have both the ipad pro m4 and MacBook air 2024 and I can guarantee I don't see the need for new users to buy it… I think their ipad air would be more than enough for me.
For a powerful M4 chip and fully utilising the operating system fully, I think it’s not worth the price tag. Advance multi-tasking and window management is missing. It’s just essentially a toy like “this looks good and this” but can’t do anything of real work with it. It’s all gimmicky and superficial. Therefore all that power for these little things. There’s no multi user support etc. My iPad 2022 and I only use it for downloading iOS apps that I need for piano but without the multi-tasking I find it not worth the money. 1) Great OLED display and stunning contrast - great for watching content 2) Weight Reduction - Magic Keyboard is 34g - upgrades: a function row, larger trackpad, aluminium premium feel but will show fingerprints and out polyurethane will show dust and dirt, white keyboard is susceptible to colour bleed. Lighter and iPad itself is 103 g lighter. 3) Good for Garage Band 4) Camera placement finally in correct place especially if you use landscape orientation (most people do) 5) Face ID is now quicker for authentication into the iPad. Touch IS is good 6) Scanning documents no noticeable improvements as previous iPad scans documents really well. 7) Apple Pencil Pro - individual preference for drawing or wheather the new barrel feature is actually useful (or gimmicky). As a digital note taker not as enjoyable experience as on Kindle Scribe (no distracting notifications) 8) Apple Intelligence doesn’t use. Pretty Serie animation, not much use for it. More Apple Intelligence coming out in future like: being able to create your own emojis or Serie knowing your personal contacts (most people won’t use). Not made much of a difference how the iPad is used 9) New iPad is not compatible with Apple pencil Gen2. 10) Not compatible with older magazines c keyboards 11) Then there’s the price!!! 12) Battery life for web browsing 10 hours over WiFi and 9 hours with cellular data. iPad Pro’s worse battery life could are to MacBook Air - standby battery life is significantly worse than MacBook Air 13) Operating System is more limited than MacBook Air:- i can’t download apps from web because of Apple’s business model. They are just not as diverse or interesting as for Macs; ii Can’t get full browser experience of chrome; Ipen source software like Mozilla etc; iii games are limited as can only download from the App Store
Reasonable comparison with logical points. I personally used to trade in my M3 MacBook Pro for an M4 iPad Pro 13-inch model, along with a Mac mini M2 with 16GB of RAM. The reason behind this decision was my belief in the versatility of the iPad Pro, particularly its usefulness with Lumafusion, an app I used for my vlog production. However, I recently sold my Mac mini for an M2 MacBook Air 16GB RAM model and now use both devices simultaneously. When I’m outside, I use the iPad Pro as my primary screen, while at home, I use the MacBook Air as my main desktop with a Samsung display. This setup allows me to have a dedicated device for each task, but it does require me to spend more money to have two devices at once. Despite this, I believe the benefits of each device outweigh the cost, and they each serve a specific purpose. However, if I had to choose only one device, I would still opt for the iPad Pro.
Everybody is different with different needs. I generally love the writing experience on the iPad. No friction. I can't stand anymore writing on a piece of paper with a real pen because of the friction. I just love the gliding and no friction. Saying that I don't use it for anything else because i can't draw. I am a Logic Pro user and the iPad Pro is just not even close to the experience of a Mac when it comes to Logic Pro. Because of this, i have the base iPad. It does the same for me. Better screen better speakers don't matter at all for me. Neither iPad versions run Logic properly. Need a Mac for that. If the iPad Pro could run the full version of Logic and Final Cut, i would abandon the Mac. Maybe that is what Apple is afraid of.
After you calibrate the colors in the reference mode, if you exit, and return to normal mode, will your normal mode color accuracy be improved compare to pre-calibration?
I use an iPad Pro 13, MacBook Pro, and a new iPad Mini 7. Fortunately I can cover all my bases which makes me a happy camper. Also I have been buying Apple Stock for decades.😆
I still have the iPad Pro 2020 and still serves it purpose for watching youtube videos. My 2 y/o kid uses it as his screen time. I used the iPad M4 of my cousin and I do not see the difference with 4 y/o iPad Pro. If Apple miraculously make the iPad Os to Mac OS then I def say I will upgrade from my M3 macbook Air😂
Yeah i find it bonkers to spend $2400 on a iPad and cry that it doesn’t work as a laptop. You literally just spent MacBook money on a tablet like wtf lol.
I have one and the keyboard…honestly the keyboard is attached 90% of the time. It’s really good. When I do want the iPad only experience I just move it to the pitaka case.
iPads need their own version of Dex. The reason Samsung tablets are so much easier to recommend no matter the need is because their software is more able to satisfy customers needs along with incredible hardware. iPadOS is not made for a Magic Keyboard.
Need a computer? get a mac Need a tablet? Get an Air Need a tablet with the 120hz and some pro features? get an m2 pro iPad The market for the M4 iPad is sooo small tbh
I tell people if you honestly want a tablet go with the Samsung fe and it’s doesn’t make sense to spend that much on a tablet because the power and capabilities are cut short

Well written, sir. 👏👏
Got one this year for Christmas 🎄 going to use it for a drawing and animation.
The Ipad is the only product where I recommend the cheapest 10th gen Ipad for 90% of people because even if you buy the most expensive one, there's isn't anything that you can do fundamentally different on the expensive one as the cheaper one can do most of the tasks.
Yep. I went with 11” iPad Pro entirely because it’s realistically the 2nd lightest iPad after the mini.
the pro has more longevity. the cheaperer models slow down in a couple years
@@colonel_carlitoI just got the 2024 m4 but my 2019 iPad Air is still going strong , obviously slower but no or stuttering .. 95% of people definitely don’t need anything more than a base iPad /ipad air
@amari5502 true..kind of regret getting pro now as I don't do anything more than air model could.
This video was helpful. Made me realize the iPad Pro 13” is the best match for my needs. Bottom line, the display is well worth it if you stream video or game, period!
Great genuine review
I love mine! I’m so glad I went with this over a MacBook. Excellent for work and play 👍
I'm still getting an 11inch iPad pro.
Nice review… value your honest opinions 👍🏻
Cheers🍺🍺
Whoose even left handed😂😂🎉
imo, ipad only really makes sense if you’re a student taking notes/ as a textbook(ebook) reference, or multi monitors on the go.
More than one audio source seems to play at once when you’re working with a full screen app and a fully compliant app.
YES! This is one of my gripes with iPad. I don’t see this mentioned that often!
yup, i would have music playing and god forbid i go on amazon. the ads immediately stop my music. i'm glad i bought my ipad pro second hand for half the price because what do you mean an all powerful thousand dollar slab cannot play more than one audio source??
My Mac just sits, and collects dust since I bought my iPad Pro. I use Affinity Designer, Photo, and Publisher allot.
I can't fathom why anyone would pay that price for this M4 version, actually.
loving the HTTYD clip!
I have the M1 iPad Pro and my husband uses it daily for web browsing and watching videos. I’m getting myself another tablet but I’m going with the Surface Pro 11 due to all the limitations of iPad OS.
Honest reviewer!! Good job bro !! ❤❤
Full Support form 🇮🇳🇮🇳 !!
Its a great ipad. I wouldnt trade it at all. I paid $1000 for the m4 pro during black friday. I edit video and photos so a couple hundred extra was no big deal. I own a macbook pro so its not a replacement… power users need both. The real crime is $1299 for an iphone.
Yup I paid the same for both my 16 pro and my M4 11 inch when I traded in my 14 pro and M2 11 inch on each!
Great video, however the mini-LED display also caps at the same HDR & SDR brightness
What's ur mic? Audio's amazing
Thank you! here's a link to all the video Production Equipment we use

Here's a link to the specific mic we use: amzn.to/41GUHMs
And the M5 is coming out soon. 😂
1) Great OLED display and stunning contrast - great for watching content
2) Weight Reduction - Magic Keyboard is 34g - upgrades: a function row, larger trackpad, aluminium premium feel but will show fingerprints and out polyurethane will show dust and dirt, white keyboard is susceptible to colour bleed. Lighter and iPad itself is 103 g lighter.
3) Good for Garage Band
4) Camera placement finally in correct place especially if you use landscape orientation (most people do)
5) Face ID is now quicker for authentication into the iPad. Touch IS is good
6) Scanning documents no noticeable improvements as previous iPad scans documents really well.
7) Apple Pencil Pro - individual preference for drawing or wheather the new barrel feature is actually useful (or gimmicky). As a digital note taker not as enjoyable experience as on Kindle Scribe (no distracting notifications)
8) Apple Intelligence doesn’t use. Pretty Serie animation, not much use for it. More Apple Intelligence coming out in future like: being able to create your own emojis or Serie knowing your personal contacts (most people won’t use). Not made much of a difference how the iPad is used
9) New iPad is not compatible with Apple pencil Gen2.
10) Not compatible with older magazines c keyboards
11) Then there’s the price!!!
12) Battery life for web browsing 10 hours over WiFi and 9 hours with cellular data. iPad Pro’s worse battery life could are to MacBook Air - standby battery life is significantly worse than MacBook Air
13) Operating System is more limited than MacBook Air:- i can’t download apps from web because of Apple’s business model. They are just not as diverse or interesting as for Macs; ii Can’t get full browser experience of chrome; Ipen source software like Mozilla etc; iii games are limited as can only download from the App Store
Thanks Josh!
I'm completely fine with my Pro M3, I just wish the camera was in a better spot
I'm actually leaning toward a Samsung Tab S ... at least with DEX mode you can unlock the power.
Can i run exel well on it..??
Exel
Powerbi
Tableau..??
Please reply will it worth
I just know that these bezels are still way too big for a 2024 device. Sticking with my 2018 ipad pro.
I’ve bent this M1 12.9 inch over a trip to LA so I’m concerned of the new one being very thin
and yet MacBook Air still doesn't have OLED
oled makes a huge difference
LCD displays look terrible I can't buy any LCD products
why not just turn on do not disturb when you want to write etc
The iPad Pro m4 is $200 OFF right now at Best Buy! Buying mine now for 1,099 🎉❤❤❤❤❤
Everybody is different with different needs.
The 13 inch Air or IPad Pro 13inch?
Why get a MacBook Air and a Scribe?
You cannot get apps for the Mac OS. Not even UTube.
btw everything u listed can be done either on your phone or MacBook just saying
Why the hell do people not just use an iPad as an iPad rather than a crap laptop
Literally my iPad is just used for content consumption and reading
@@fasn279Same with my ipad mini 7
Yeah i find it bonkers to spend $2400 on a iPad and cry that it doesn’t work as a laptop. You literally just spent MacBook money on a tablet like wtf lol.
@@ChairmanKimchi same thought here lol, my iPad 10th generation does the job for $340
I have one and the keyboard…honestly the keyboard is attached 90% of the time. It’s really good. When I do want the iPad only experience I just move it to the pitaka case.
If Blender and Solidworks worked natively on this device it would be perfect for me, I can give up on games.
What’s the MacBook m4 pro like for watching Netflix Disney etc
You are forgetting one very important detail. Viruses I refuse to add any program on any device I have that may compromise my security
What show or movie was that at 2:50? Thank you!
Seems to be “The Holdovers”
@h4bibi44 thank you 🙏
Restrictions enhance security albeit not definitive.
I mainly use it for photography and video
i have a M2 iPad Pro, and it just sitting there collecting dust now.
iPads need their own version of Dex. The reason Samsung tablets are so much easier to recommend no matter the need is because their software is more able to satisfy customers needs along with incredible hardware. iPadOS is not made for a Magic Keyboard.
I love OLES! it’s very good at displaying deep dark black and great colors
I’m getting that 13 inch iPad Pro
What about mini7?
A lot of people ended up returning them sadly 😢
Need a computer? get a mac
Need a tablet? Get an Air
Need a tablet with the 120hz and some pro features? get an m2 pro iPad
The market for the M4 iPad is sooo small tbh
Buy 1600 iPad to take notes, while paper and pencil is $16 at most
I tell people if you honestly want a tablet go with the Samsung fe and it’s doesn’t make sense to spend that much on a tablet because the power and capabilities are cut short
Give it a couple of years and Burn In will set it. 6 months of use is still too early for it.
It’s possible, but much more unlikely since they used a tandem OLED screen. www.ossila.com/pages/tandem-oled#:~:text=They%20can%20produce%20more%20light,have%20multiple%20light%2Demitting%20layers.&text=OLED%20screens%20can%20sometimes%20suffer,keeping%20their%20high%2Dquality%20picture.
Oled screens are more advanced and less prone to burn in
Its good for multi media consumption and mobile gaming 👌
Getting this solely for gaming can’t wait.
6:19 But the Magic Keyboard is not a good idea IMO, too expensive and I prefer to use iPad as a tablet.
Between the samsung galaxy tab s9 ultra and ipad pro, which on is more preferable for students?
imo both of these things are insanely expensive MacBook air and applecare is like $1500 and no oled display. Meanwhile you can get an Asus with OLED for $650.
The only reason I was going to get an M4 iPad Pro was for watching my Netflix 😭
If you got it, spend it. If you don't get what's affordable.
If I just want use oled to watch movies and web browsing shall I upgrade from my a12z iPad Pro which the Face ID is already broken….?
M4 chip in what is essentially a big ass phone
Ppl a note pad and a notebook are totally different. I’m tired of ppl comparing the iPad to the Mac book.
I don’t understand why anyone would pay over a 1000 for a tablet
