Portugal is my favourite country, for so many reasons. In so many ways though, we don't want the whole world to know... to keep it magical. But serious, everyone should get to experience this amazing country!

I went to Barcelona, and I liked it, but I went to Portugal, and I LOVED it! There are men out there that look similar to my dad. I've been to Lisbon, twice, Porto, Cascais, and Sintra to go see that beautiful castle.
I spent a full month in Portugal during my 3 month trip across four countries in Europe (Spain, Turkey, Italy, Portugal) back in 2022. It was glorious. Looking forward to going back.
In Portuguese and went there recently. The people were incredibly rude

Video does not do the cave justice…..be aware the Algarve is very expensive compared to the rest of the country…..

@@Obenfiquista81 Completely agree. Even in the winter it doesn't shutdown as much as other towns in the Algarve.

Its definitely on my bucket list of places to visit. But I want to do the typical Europe trips first: UK (London), Paris, Barcelona, Italy, Berlin and then Portugal. Outside of that, I also want to visit Australia.
I'm portuguese so my first instinct is to encourage you to visit my country, but if you can, don't miss out on visiting Belgium (Bruges is beautiful), and Switzerland, even if if it's only for a day (it's quite expensive) but the Alpes are just breathtaking

You cannot land on the beach inside the cave anymore due to safety reasons. For years lots and lots of boats went inside without any sort of control and in the last couple of years there were lots of accidents with boats flipping over. So the coast guard and the government decided only to allow certain boats inside but no one can land on the beach. Only on very special occasions and requirements

If you are a fit swimmer, you can swim from Benagil beach up to the cave.

Come visit but don't come for a living. Honestly, cost of living has been up too quick for a country with pretty low wage compared to EU. Of course it's affordable, but not for the portuguese anymore.
And another wave of us tourists coming soon.... Fun fact: us citizens are already the #1 buyers of real estate in my country.
Spent my honeymoon in that cave, my oldest kid was conceived in there, so watch you step

There are probably 500 places like this all around the world. We have few here in Syria. I don't see why this is so special!
Because:
1. Portugal is not in a civil war;
2. Portugal is not a muslim country.

@@g_br Much prefer Morocco, Greece, Italy, the people smile more and there is more flavour (food and culture). Portugal is very one dimensional and the Algarve is SO expensive.
