great shoutout to Michigan, born in Saginaw, lived in Flint and Ann Arbor (GO BLUE!) until i was 14 then moved to Florida. Moved back in 2018 to the UP, just south of Marquette. then had to move back to FL in 2020. Wife and I making plans to move back to da yoop in next few years. Great tips on fire control. New to smoking/grilling here and love it. i own a masterbuilt pro 20050412 and having tons of fun getting to learn how to use it and smoking grilling overall!
Very informative simple and to the point. I'm ready for the season 👍 It seems like Royal Oak is pretty popular? Would you add wood to your lump early or later? Lighting cubes are a game changer 👌. This might be the best damn video for newbies. Thx for sharing
Great video brother thanks a lot I learned a ton, because I’m getting into the whole charcoal world now I jus purchased a 30” chargrills and when you said how to get ahead of the charcoal is jus what I’ve been trying to figure out to smoke meat at low temp
I dont mean to be so offtopic but does any of you know of a way to log back into an instagram account? I was dumb lost the password. I love any tricks you can offer me.
@Hayes Dayton thanks for your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm in the hacking process atm. Takes a while so I will reply here later with my results.
How Much charcoal do you add to maintain temps, and how often is it added for an 8 hour cook on a smoker?? My worst fear is just leaving it alone and having something not smoked correctly.
Hey buddy I haven't used lump in the uds have you? And does it last as long as briquettes? And also does it maintain temp as well? Great video thanks hillbilly
@@hillbillybbq That's all I use for my drum. Burns a lot cleaner and hotter. My experience, it does last ask long. It's a little different than briquettes, as far as keeping temp goes. Itll keep temp fine but wants to burn hotter. So a drum with lump loves to run at 275-300. But a full basket can run 10 hours or so
I am here for the same reasons. I bought a 36" dyna glo vertical, it will be here in a few days. Im sure you've been on the internet religiously but I recommend you checking out a simple modification video from a guy on TH-cam named Nick Estrada. Between that and getting some wireless probe thermometers I'm feeling confident! Now I'm trying to figure out how to actually GET going once it comes in. Best of luck to you my friend!!
@@SA-ot8di Thx. My thermometers came in last week so I'm ready. At took me about 30mins to assemble because I applied black RTV adhesive in small gaped areas to prevent smoke from escaping. I got that trick from YT as well. I just wanted the smoke to leave the chimney only. *Don't apply the thermostat too tightly because the metal is fragile* Just tighten the bolt until it snugs👌 Now I'm ready to season it and then the games BEGIN!!! CHEERS TO YOU now let's stank up the neighborhood lol Enjoy your DynaGlo
Nah, any impurities are gone long before you put food in the cooker. If your worried about impurities use the torch. Keep the chimneys for what they're for. Grills..

I just purchased a Dyno Glo vertical smoker and this video was very informative. Thx a lot.
How do you arrange your meats from top to bottom?

@@orlandoc661 It's nice to hear others are taking the time to modifying these bad boys. It was such an affordable unit. What is YT?

Thank you! This really gave me some good tips and information. I know what i am doing now! :)
When 250/275 is reached how much do you close your exhaust?
I dont see that wax fire cube heating up that whole charcoal basket. I would have thrown 4-5 cubes in for sure.
How do I keep same temp if I have Oklahoma joe longhorn combo grill I use lump charcoal and it is my first time using the smoker
Good video! Go Blue! 〽️
Can you show us how to smoke something on a legacy grill?
Great video, great information!!!
I miss Michigan winters
Thank you for this video man. Go blue!
Nice vid for the beginners. Obviously.
😆 Thanks? Lol Have a good one!
No really i have just started out so thanks for the information.
Sooo.. you don't have to pitch you old charcoal?? I'm new to smoking my 1st was a fail.
I did the pellet smoker experiment and they do not smoke as good as a charcoal based smoker!
Great video! Go Blue!
Am I the only one who checks for spiders before I put on gloves lol
Nice video, I was wondering where you got your smoker from?
Big Ds Smokers in Michigan.
I wasn't sure if we were going to get to the point or not
Hello Mr,Mike from Bad Wolf sent me to check out your channel...Subscribed love your content...
Hey! Glad to have you on board. We plan on releasing videos every Sunday. And sometimes Thursdays for Tips and Tricks. Thanks for the support!
thanks for the video!!
How do you spell the lighter cubes name, parafane or paraffin?
Parafin. It's also used for canning.
Use a chimney and paper. If you use an accelerator it changes the burn also puts carcinogens into your food.
Nah, any impurities are gone long before you put food in the cooker. If your worried about impurities use the torch. Keep the chimneys for what they're for. Grills..
Thank you sir!
Obviously!
Great, lol. Leave it to a Michigan fan to find rocks in his charcoal. Smh, but this is so not surprising, sorry! 🤣🤣👍👍
Future reference you talk to much just do it like Nike good video brother
Sound is bad
