+Vint Julep Yes you can teach yourself. I'm self taught. But there's a lot of free lessons and such on TH-cam where there wasn't when I was learning. There are a couple builders I'd recommend for you if you want to buy new. Send me a note at ted@tedyoder.com if you want to chat privately.

+Pam s They have their instruments tuned down a half step so it's played in Eb. I moved it to D. Can't play in Eb very well on the dulcimer. 😂
