Ha! I was hoping to do my own home brew RaSCSI as well, but on a Mac Classic. I am several steps behind you. I have capacitors on the way. Finding time to work on it will be it’s own job.
I tried both RaSCSI and BlueSCSI.. I end up going with BlueSCSI in this machine its just a bit simpler and you can find the parts easier and cheaper than finding a Raspberry Pi Zero

Did u ever do the RaSCSI? I had good success with a BlueScsi on a Mac SE.

No worries. The resolution was 640x480 at 60Hz the actual resolution of the picture is 320x240 but it’s scaled to fill the whole image.
