“Someday Soon” is a beautiful story song that she made famous. Universally loved.

Judy Collins' most popular song is "Send In The Clowns," which I believe she won a Grammy for. Judy also did a beautiful version of Joni Mitchell's "Both Sides Now" and the best version of "Some Day Soon." Judy Collins did start in the 60s and like many sang folk songs. She has an incredible voice and a talent that seems to be endless. Judy is still touring and making her audience happy with her incredible gifts of song.

Stephen Stills wrote Suite: Judy Blues Eyes after they broke up, trying to woo her back.

Amazing Judy ❤ I've been a fan of hers since the 70s, have seen her live in concert 4x since and she is still touring today at 81 yo. She has maintained her magnificent soprano voice despite having been a smoker and recovering alcoholic. What i love most about her is the pureness of her vocal delivery. She hits every note right in the middle w no vocal acrobatics like most pop singers. Though a classically trained pianist, Collins picked up the acoustic guitar and pursued folk music in her early career (1960s). I definitely suggest you give a listen to her versions of: Ian and Sylvia Tyson's "Someday Soon", Leonard Cohen's "Suzanne", Joni Mitchell's "Chelsea Morning", and her Grammy award winning rendition of Stephen Sondheim's "Send In The Clowns".

Her version of Both Sides Now is a way behind both Joni Mitchell's original and her later interpretation

Judy Collins has such a vast catalog of songs. You will probably get many requests for her more popular ones. I would like to request a song of hers called Che about che guavara (sp?]

Judy has a golden voice! "The Coming of the Roads" is a particularly beautiful and sad song that's always been a favorite of mine. Also, "Priests" written by Leonard Cohen

My favorite Judy Collins' recording is Albatross from the Wildflowers album, 1967. The album, Colors of the Day is beautiful. Probably best known for her recordings of Amazing Grace, Both Sides Now and Send in the Clowns. So glad to hear youth find this amazing female artist. I'm not religious at all, but love this recording. Someday Soon, as mentioned in responses is excellent. A live performance December 31, 1967 of "I Think It's Going to Rain Today."

John Newton was the master of a slave ship amongst other colourful happening's. At one time he nearly came to grief in a storm, and eventually reviewed his life and turned to religion. He wrote Amazing Grace rather as a confession.
Judy Collins had a massive hit with this one in 1970, in the UK. It was a beautiful rendition, and was the definitive version of the song for years.
Other things she has sung , and all are beautifully sung, are Both Sides now, which was another massive hit. Also Send in the clowns.
My go to version of the song nowadays is the incredible live version by 13 year old Amira Willighagen. It starts slowly, and then soars.
I'll find the link, and urge you to give it a listen.

I believe that Judy was dating Stephen Stills for a time. I must have worn out several copies of her album "Wildflowers" I loved it so much. I was fortunate to meet her at a book signing quite some years ago. Beautiful, charming and talented lady.
