    Patrick is being underdiagnosed. Once a back injury occurs it is a life time issue nearly 100% of the time. Why they didn't do an MRI with contrast is strange IMO. I really feel for this young man. I live with chronic severe back pain for several issues that were not ever diagnosed prior to having an MRI. Also I have a Chiari I malformation with syringomyelia...a birth defect of the foreman magnum. Never diagnosed until later in life d/t it being such a rare defect. Dr.'s always say a back injury is just muscular, but trust me when I say if it lasts decades the flesh should have healed already! If they had given Patrick a mild muscle relaxer that would helped him a lot too. I feel for that young boy.

    I am glad they caught the kids scoliosis at a young age. I wasn't lucky enough. When my mom lost custody of us girls, my grandmother took control of me. She was a alcoholic and I complained constantly because I was in so much pain but she didn't care, nor did she take me to a doctor. I broke my foot at 12 and she never took me to a doctor. I know have a ton of issues because she thought I was a hypochondriac.

    Also I think they should make a hall of fame wall for the kids cancer ward where once they go into remission they can put paint on their hand and on the wall with their name and remission date.

    Love these! I wore a Boston brace for my scoliosis and later had to have a spinal fusion due to my scoliosis. I had a very rare left Thoracic curve that only accounts for 5% of cases. It is due to my collagen disorder. Anything 10% and under is normal. That boy will do fine his curve is very very mild. Pain can happen though and is from the muscles trying to support your spine. I had such severe pain and before my surgery my lung was being crushed. He will most likely grow out of it. I wish him the best! Thanks for sharing these episodes.

    • @kristinwallace6551
      @kristinwallace6551 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ryuuka1498 What I mean and what doctors who treat scoliosis will tell you, is that after you're done growing if your curve is under 30 degrees the chances of it progressing are slim. It is actually not common for scoliosis to get worse in adulthood, Given the scoliosis was not caused by an underlying conditions, so if it is teenager idiopathic scoliosis, this is what they say.

My mouth isn’t dry anymore and I don’t have headaches randomly through the day. I hope that I’ll be able to keep pushing through the waves and stay off of vaping for the rest of my life

    I know with my spine (a curvature was found when I was young) that I ended up with herniating a disk (it degenerated over time before the herniation). Stretching, chiropractic care, physical therapy makes a huge difference. Too bad I didn't do it was when I was younger.

    I have scoliosis as well. It did cause me a lot of muscle pain and I had to have a body cast for 6 months when I was 12 years old and just entering puberty. It was definitely the worst time to deal with a body cast but it didn’t slow me down much lol. I was also hit by a car when I was 9 which made the curve quite a bit worse. I also was born with extra vertebrae so there was speculation that things were cramped and could be why I had so much pain.

    If you really WANT to quit smoking, you can. You just have to want it bad enough. I am a former smoker so I understand that it can be hard to stop, but that being said, anyone CAN stop smoking. This guy in this video just doesn't really want to and after that infection, that should have been a wakeup call for him.

    To give up smoking, gradually cut down over a long period of time. Go from 10 a day to 9 a day and so on. Even if it takes a couple of years at least you are smoking less and less. Then when you get down to a low number like 2 or 3 a day, stop smoking and use the patch or whatever. But you also HAVE to use willpower because the patch or nicotine gum or medication can't do that part for you. That's why so many people fail; they rely too heavily on the cessation aid to do the work for them. I speak from experience. I cut down gradually to 1 cigarette a day and then one day I just decided I was going to stop altogether. I exercised, drank lots of water and chewed gum right after meals to cope and used sheer willpower for the rest and it worked! Best thing I ever did for myself and you can do it too!!
