Catching pompano in skyway bridge south pier at 11PM is unheard of

I meant to show this from my last video but I forgot. So here it is.

July 18, 2024, Thursday
Today is my early day at work. I work 8AM-5PM on Thursdays. I decided to go fishing since I am off tomorrow.
7:28PM
First Pompano. Unfortunately, not a keeper.

Another undersize Pompano.
8:13PM
Third undersize Pompano. If you notice I let the Pompano run for a few seconds hoping to invite others to bite the second teaser. It didn’t work this time.

A catfish. The first time I caught this in Sebastian inlet maybe three years ago, I got sting in the middle of my left hand. It really hurts. A lot of blood too.

One Pompano jig and teaser vanished. Let’s just enjoy the view.

A Pompano at 11PM? This is unheard of. You have to catch it yourself for you to believe.

First bite of the day. An 11 and a half Pompano. Trying to catch the second one as quickly as I can.

Sorry for the cursing. That’s how frustrated I was when I lost that one. It was a big one!

Last catch of the day. A jack.
I arrived around 11AM Saturday the next day. Not a single bite the whole day. I think I went home around 6:40PM empty handed. I was so tired as always.

Hi Antonio! This is Nick. Really appreciate the jigs and teasers you gave me❤. I caught one 11inch with them after you left yesterday around 7:30. Another guy next to me also got one almost at the same time. Pompano seemed to be a little more active after sunset yesterday

@@nickli5109 You’re so welcome Nick. Wow! Pompanos waited until I left. I think the other guy was Romeo. I also gave him some of my jigs and teasers. I am curious if he was using my jig and teaser also. So happy for you Nick. I was worried that no more keepers left for us to catch. I was so tired and was having a terrible headache that’s why I decided to go home. I am again planning to try Thursday next week. As soon as I turned off my Laptop at 5PM, I will be driving to Skyway South pier.

@@AntonioSolangon Be careful with the line tangled under the water on the west side when you go next time. A little bit north of where my car was parked. I lost two sets of jigs over there. Anyway, I wish I could go fish during the weekday, but I hope you catch a lot of pompanos next Thursday.

7/22/24 Monday.. I nailed 7 pompano across from the food truck..4 keepers 2 got off and 1 was short Thanks to your motivation . 👍
