Nugget, I would ask a professional Native American archeologist about that large stone with the dug out. It might be a very significant finding. At least have someone look at your video. It might be a super old one too.
I'm 76 yrs old and when I was a kid I would buy a bag of marbles and used them in my sling shot for perfect ammunition. You have to be really careful. A well made sling shot with a marble projectile can be deadly.
You’re a marble magnet, Michael! The rock is natural used to grind corn ( maze ) into flour to make flat bread. It may be heavy but worth retrieving! Enjoyed the creek walk with you and your friend, Alex. 🤓😉☺️
Another great adventure Nugget, thanks for sharing. I’ve been enjoying your adventures for many years keep them coming. Tell Daisy hello from Mississippi.
I remember getting a bag of marbles when I was a kid and thinking, "Whoa, these look really cool! I wonder what I'm supposed to do with them?" I never did figure it out.
What you call stenciling, as far as I know, is texture which makes the vessel easier to pick up if wet or coming from a fireside. I am a potter and of course the texture is also added to the clay pot when wet by using a sharpen stick etc. In this case it could be a bundle of stiff straw. Awesome finds. Loving these videos.
Hey Nugget. My 2 girls and son, and of course myself the dad, really enjoy watching your channel and enjoy seeing all your amazing finds. I believe you found a rock mortar there in the stream. Having lived in South Africa most my life, I have seen similar mortars, more then once, once used by the rural tribes. Keep the videos coming, they are an inspiration. And God bless you too. Prince Edward Island
I love finding a pocket knife 9:30 it’s just one of my favorite things to recover. Maybe because of how personal it is, and every boy and man had one, usually passed down from grandfathers and fathers ❤
The bottle with the hearts is a Pal Ade bottle Pal Ade was bottled in Waterbury, Connecticut in 1951 by the Pal Bottling Company. A Facebook post from 2019 also mentions that Pal Ade was later bottled in Watertown.
That does look like a grinding stone. A significant find! Throughout my life I’ve often found marbles - so weird since marbles aren’t a popular kids’ game like they used to be!
Can you do a video on what you do with these finds once you get them home? Like cleaning processes, etc? Do you sell the precious metals, or just collect? For indigenous artifacts, do you offer to museums?
Congrats on all the marbles and bottles. That’s a very nice early Coke bottle you found.👍 Back in the 1930’s or 40’s my great grandfather sent some bottles with notes in them down the Kankakee River up in northern Indiana. The notes would ask the finder to reply back to him on where and when they found the bottle. I have those reply letters. Some replied back within a week or two, some took years. The oldest one was found 35 years later in Illinois. I thought that was so cool. Back then before hi tech or even TV’s , people did some creative things to pass the time. He was also a self taught taxidermist, and collector. He collected coins, stamps, old firearms, and bird eggs. He has a large bird egg collection in our local museum up in Northern Indiana. He, Charlie, was a very interesting and creative guy. ❤ Sorry to ramble on.
That stone looks like one my grandma had only hers was 1/2 that size. The pedistal would have been a rock shaped with a flat end and worked to fit a hand around it. The one you found would have been big enough to grind large amount of corn, wheat. You should show it to an native american archaeologist so a museum can educate others about native life. Love you and God bless
Awesome marble video . And Turtles 🐢. Another great video. That big stone was a working stone that American Indian would have used for sure . What a find . Mike
I hope you kept that large stone that you found. Ive seen those before and they were used to crush corn kernels and seeds for cooking, etc. As always, I love all of your videos. Happy hunting, from Arizona.
Turtle is fine in the water, it is a turtle after all, lol. Box turtles have a high shell so people think they shouldn't be in the creek, but they are cooling off down there.
The first one (and others so far, I am only 2 minutes in) are actually box turtles. Although it was in the water, it definitely wasn't a terrapin. The heavily domed shell and little 'door' so it could box itself in are strong indicators. Sadly, a lot of people think box turtles belong in the water and chuck them in or have backyard decorative ponds where the turtle comes for water and falls in and can't get out and drowns. For the yard ponds it is recommended that you have a sort of ramp so they can climb out. A terrapin has a more streamlined shell for swimming.
Wow, someone really lost their marbles! That's exactly what I was thinking!~(haha) Greetings from Klamath Falls, Oregon ~ As always, thanks for sharing your adventures with us! I love this channel. It's a lot of fun to watch~🖐️😇 Happy hunting~😎👉🔍

Have a blessed day always! * * * * Ps..Loved the video a while back, about the event you hosted. You gave out some really amazing gifts/prizes to the participants! Very generous indeed, and a lot of fun to watch!~ ✌️😎~
I found a marble in the alley behind our house in Scranton Pa. I saw it in my peripheral and called it before I actually looked at it. There are always marbles, buttons and pieces of plates surfacing with all the rain we have. Last year I found a bottle and marble in the small garden in our back yard. It’s not embossed but it’s wavy on the front about 4 inches tall. I have it on the shelf in the kitchen. And ask of my findings in a jar on the same shelf.
Really enjoyed this video although I am a tad bit jealous of all your marbles. They are truly beautiful. I still have my marbles from my childhood which makes them around 60 years old. I especially like the shoe polish bottle and the ink well. Although when I saw the colour of the ink bottle I thought maybe it might have contained glue. Have a great week and please keep safe. 😊🇨🇦
Glad you enjoyed it. I think the ink bottle is stained on the outside from laying in the creek water. All the black stain will come off and it should look clear glass. It still could of been glue but looks more like an Ink well. Thanks for watching!
Look at your black marble in the light; I bet it's a Black Purple glass. That coke bottle is pristine! Yes! That big stone with a hollowed area looks like a Quorn stone for grinding grains. What a interesting day!
Have you ever considered making a little path with all of those bricks in the creek? Also, I love these creek videos, the running water sound however doesn't agree with me.. Thankfully I have wireless headphones hehe.
Nugget, I’m wondering the area you were hunting, was there an old school up river from there or a marble factory. It is bazaar how many marbles you had found in the same area. Also the big rock you found that could have been what we used to call a turbine rock. It’s where smaller rocks get in a water funnel in a circular motion and grind away at the bigger rock. The way that rock was buried it could have been the bigger rock. Hard to tell with the video image. Still cool fines.
Just watched a video where the guy found native american pottery just like yours and said the lines on the side were the result of being wrapped in twine.
Where's Daisy, she'd of been happy finding all those marbles. I'm from Michigan, glad you've been uploading. I still need to e-mail you that stuff that was deleted, sorry I've had a lot going on lately. G-d bless.

Great adventure in the creek! Marbles, turtles, bottles, Native American pottery pieces and what looks like a grinding bowl they would have used.

The bottle with the hearts on the shoulder is a pal cola. It had a painted label that has worn off. Probably 60s to early 70s.

Corn grinding bowl
The large stone you found You think was a grinding stone are called Matatas.
At least out west they are called that. Great find!!
Cool, thanks!
Awesome finds!
It (big rock with worn indentation) looks like a Metate. And you would use/hold the Mano to grind the corn to make maze

it was definitely a native American grinding stone probably near a camp.you should investigate that area further.
I'll go back and look for arrowheads!
Bottles native-amrican too. 😂😂😂
I would agree that it's a grinding stone... people will buy them. My BF found 1 in the creek and someone bought it for 75$
Good video and hunt. Watching from Athens, Georgia.
