But today 11.19.20 at 5:40 pm I have consciously and intentionally commit to abstain from sex until marriage. Today I decided I actually want marriage. Thank you for this word.

This women’s experience is similar to mine. The abuse makes it easier to abstain because I want to experience that wholeness and take back the choice of giving myself to a man. I now see that there is nothing wrong in quickly moving on when I see red flags and not just jump into any relationship just because I am getting older without children. I have chosen to wait and set the right foundation for my children.
Maaaan I needed this refresher! I just had my 4 year abstinence anniversary. Almost didn’t make it! I started this journey in 2012 and was abstinent for 4 years before succumbing to my flesh! Thank God for keeping me. I pray i will be abstinent until marriage this time. I can say my mistake was lack of boundaries and casually dating men i knew weren’t on the same page as me spiritually as far as our beliefs. I can also attest to her comment about sex keeping us from our purpose. God told me to go back to school during that time, but those relationships distracted me from doing so. Here i am again on my purpose pursuit. This time i am asking God to keep me as I completely unable to keep myself pure.

Almost 2 years of abstinence from a 12 years of abusive marriage which ended because of his infidelity, emotional, psychological, financial and sexual abuse towards me!! I am doing all I can to love my self again and be whole again.

@@ladyb3796 Yes he did. He was a church leader too. After I exposed him,he demoted himself from the post. His mother and siblings used the Bible, Bible quotes to cover their behaviours. There were lots of secrecy in their family. I glad I divorced him. I am so free and happy now

It is so beautiful to hear abstinence spoken of so positively, there is no negotiation with God's word about sex outside of marriage. It is not easy remaining abstinent in a sex saturated world but it is God who we draw close to, to keep us. I like my sister, await my God given husband.🙏

I've bee going through and listening to the podcasts everyday no matter when they posted. This one touched me to my core and is my story minus jailtime. It hit me so hard I cried because it let me know that God is listening to me. I've been abstinent now for 5 years and my family does not understand the true nature of the spiritual world. They only "GO" to church but never learn to apply the lessons. Thank you for all that you are doing and allowing Jesus to use you in a mighty way. ❤
It is so ironic this episode came down my timeline and I woke up today feeling that need to stop all the soul ties, stop abusing my womb for selfish desires, and to abstain from sex until marriage. I lost a boyfriend behind this decision, but it just means he wasn’t for me. This conversation gave me so much confirmation ❤️. I did something similar to the ceremony Lestine mentioned last Sunday. It was a spirit naming ceremony, but healing your womb and self love was a main focus. I feel truly transformed and ready for the journey ahead.
This is divine encouragement for me! I've been abstinent for 9 years and lately I've been feeling tormented in my flesh for sexual pleasure. I have not touched, kissed, or entertained a man in 9 whole years! I know it's truly by God's grace that I've been able to go this long! I think more stories like this should be talked about because it really encourages the abstinent folks in the back🤣. Pray my strength, saints!!🤣

PHENOMENAL Episode! This was easily my favorite episode because the subject matter has been very personal to me. Let's face it, you must be soldout to trusting the plan God has for your life to confidently stand before friends, associates, the world and the one you truly love and confuse that 'you're not having sex until marriage.' Get ready for the rumors and whispers from others mocking your character. Anyway! Thank you for covering this subject with such transparency. I was blessed with the opportunity to teach abstinence education for 15yrs., and it was the best job I ever had. Or should I say, it was the most fulfilling job because I felt like I was accomplishing something that would be life changing for others. Social media & society today publishes the message of sex in such a way that people buy into the hype and don't realize they have a choice to wait and say no! Lastly, I agree 1,000% that sex before marriage only serves as a destination as you wait for God's best. Without question sex was created for us to enjoy, but only in the proper season of life (marriage). Thinking you're responsible enough to handle sex outside of marriage, creates a false narrative that we understand how sex works better than the designer, which is God. Keep up the good work & both of you stay true to your convictions.

I totally agree! Being able to stand ten toes down in the midst of your loved ones, friends, and others and being an advocate for abstinence is hard to do because of some many social norms (sometimes even amongst church people unfortunately). @Ray I've been a laughing stock when I tell people my now fiance and I are abstinence until marriage. I made a vow to God 6yrs ago and I've been going strong. It's been great for the both of us to find each other in other ways outside of sex. May God continue to give you the grace to preach the gospel of abstinence

I just started my journey of purity last Sunday. This has been in my mind for years and finally I've taken a step to do it.
I'm grateful that God reassured me that in this journey I'm not going to be alone but he'll be with me each step of the way.
I don't know what my future holds but I know his grace is sufficient and that he's not a man that he can lie, what's in my heart right now is purely from him.
My reason for abstaining is that I fell in to thirst traps because I seeked validation from a man and I saw myself falling into depression because I saw my family and friends getting married and having kids and that has been a goal for me. So this decision is for my healing to fall in love me and Jesus, the only way he shows it to me.

Be strong and know that the enemy will come at you with distractions. Do not fall for them because it is only sent for you to forfeit your promise. I loved this episode. It's a reaffirmation of something I've been struggling with. Purity to me cleanses the mind, body and spirit of all past connections and prepares us for who we God created for us. It's not easy but I am sure it will be worth it.

JESUS! It is funny that she spoke about identity crisis. The Holy Spirit have been speaking to me in regards to that subject matter. He told me that I struggled with an identity crisis in my past. And that the enemy use that tactic to keep tons of people bound. Lord please help us to let go, and let you have your way in Jesus name. So, we can experience true freedom. The freedom that you gave us through your truth in Jesus name. I pray and say. Amen. We are free. Walk in your freedom, believe it, accept in it, claim it in the mighty name of Jesus.
