Love this series. Always wish there was something more special about winning a season. Like season winner starts as the monarch in a game or gets a secret bonus objective for the season, gets to pick a theme or a deck for someone. Or just wears a crown. Something to show they won.
Great episode showing why these cards are banned. Also: Stephen (after exiling a card with Ugin): Aw man, I wanted that card in hand. Justin - plays kill spell Stephen - Counter it Should have used the Fleshbag Maurader to sac the creature to get the card in hand!
Oh i will enjoy this. 36:40: because justing controls the permanents his triggers will go on the stack after each of jons upkeep triggers have been added. Justin gets to decide in what order.
People who complain that a video is too long should watch it in segments. There’s no such thing as a video too long, it’s just 3 videos in one. Maybe 5 vids for me (if it’s a 24 hour stream vod.)
You guys have a safe and fun rest of the year, also would like to see a new deck building theme for the season were everyone bring in 2 legendary creatures and you each pick 2 of then to build a deck around them next week
After seeing everyone else do their poses at the beginning to look like the card they’re playing with, I wholeheartedly expected Stephen to be posed with spaghetti on his head
Good game. Nice one Green. Nice try Jon, nice recall. Poor Jeremy... And Justin, playing mono black seems normal, Braids didn't much sadly. Happy Holidays Commander Vs Crew :D
Two years too late, but no he did not. He had tapped the graffdiggers cage before he had sacrificed it as they didn't know/care who got to stack the triggers.
I think you guys should do a week where each of you riffs on another and builds the most "Them" deck you can. For instance, whoever pretends to be Jeremy would definitely have to play Sultai. And so on. I think it'd be a fun way to joke about each other.
That was a super fun interactive game. I dont know what they were worried about. The whole "this is gonna be miserable" sentiment was super overblown. Great game, guys. #teamgreen
Jonathan should have taken that 1 from the mana vault cos the damage triggers on the draw step, not the upkeep, it even says that on the version he's using and he read it before not taking the 1
This was the best episode i've seen in a long time! I completely disagree with Justin's warnings at the beginning, it was awesome. You should do more cEDH.
This wasn't cEDH, not by a long shot. But I agree that this was one of the best episodes, high powered cards are MUCH more interesting to watch than casual stuff.
Souradeep Goswami ya, im aware, i am familiar with all shapers lists, i own breakfast hulk, food chain, seasons pastigur and urza. I play cEDH fairly often i think. My comment was more to the fashion of this episode was the closest to cEDH I’ve seen this group play, especially when compared to spike feeders or playing with power or lab maniacs
Thanks for putting this to rest. I too hope this is not revisited. Funny banter in the match, but it was very obvious how it was not fun to be subjected to that nonsense.
I saw Erayo, and my eyes lit up. I have one that I traded a Sorin, Lord of Innistrad for, and was going to use her in a deck before I learned she was banned. I still keep her in my collection. Maybe one day....
I watching playing with powers no bans CEDH game. It was one of the most amazing games of commander you could ever see and I highly suggest everyone take a look. Spell stacks were huge the game took surprisingly long to conclude. When everyone is running god-tier magic, the games aren't as short as you might think.
Theme Idea: Two commanders that have the same name, but are different cards as partners i.e. Sygg River Guide/Cutthroat or a pair of Avacyn's, Braids and Braids etc.
Yeah, not just like that. Flavor-wise, there should be tons of partner commanders now that the mechanic was made (not just reprints of the same character)
Spoilers: It's so heartbreaking to finally see Steven cast Emrakul only to know that Jon has a Cyclonic Rift in his hand XD But if he just Rifted as Steven moved to attackers, I think Jon could've not gotten blown out Also, "I hate you. Please just kill me Steven" lmao
@@ProeliatorDeus Ikr. I do kind of get it, if Steven attacked one of the others it'd be doing free work for Jon, but I personally don't feel like taking risks like that when Emrakul's on the table
At 37:40 - Jon, why do you tap first, then sacrifice, when Justin ordered the triggers the other way round. Also, ofc Justin gets to choose the order of triggers of cards he controls. How does that even stand for debate? Just because you don't like it, Jon, doesn't mean you can bend the rules.
Found this show cause of commander's quarters. Must say I liked the play with banned commanders because it was an even playing field, everyone had a chance to stop the others from going off
At 1:13, Suarez casts Snap. Why didn't he cast that Glided Drake and take Leovold? Then he would have 3 mana left to cast Timetwister. With the anvil out, he would lock the game.
I can see why some of those oppressive commanders are banned but I really don't understand why Emrakul is banned. Sure she is powerful but, she's not necessarily busted in my opinion. Anyone know why she is banned?
The Dark One ehhhh it makes little sens for then to be banned in multiplayer and not 1v1. Once any of those hits the person that played it is probably dead. But in 1v1 you are just screwed.

@Braxton Shawn Instablaster =)
Also, Justin preached to us about how miserable we were. Turns out, he was the miserable one
You're not wrong.
The real miserable one was the friends we made along the way.
I’m going
I shamelessly admit that I asked for this. This is like a wonderful early Christmas present for me.
The hero we deserved apparently
Thank you!
Justin's intro sounds like my mom, lol. "You wanted this!"
For all of Justin's complaining at the beginning, I actually really enjoyed this ep.
Justin's resigned "ya bastard" is one of my favorite Commander VS moments ever lol
Ed-ward Ed ed-ward
Best episode in a while, love the high powered cards

Love this series. Always wish there was something more special about winning a season. Like season winner starts as the monarch in a game or gets a secret bonus objective for the season, gets to pick a theme or a deck for someone. Or just wears a crown. Something to show they won.
Picking the theme for the first episode of the next season would be pretty cool, and wearing a crown
Easily the most hilarious episode of all time
No. Halloween when they all played mill decks
So, now we just need to see Griselbrand vs Iona vs Rofellos vs Lutri!
Great episode showing why these cards are banned.
Also:
Stephen (after exiling a card with Ugin): Aw man, I wanted that card in hand.
Justin - plays kill spell
Stephen - Counter it
Should have used the Fleshbag Maurader to sac the creature to get the card in hand!
"Its not gonna be fun for the tenths of thousands viewers that we have.." - What are you talking about? This game was awesome lol
I haven’t been watching for a few months, but I’d really like to see you guys used the random commander on edhrec again.
Well next episode will happen and Justin got a beauty of a commander :)!!
I saw Braids. Instant click.
48:37 The most devastating play of the game.
Game start 10:30
What a hero
"Stephan won't even cast his commander" casts it multiple times, twice from the command zone.
This was wonderful! The only Commander Vs I actually watched.
Finally!! I suggested this episode YEARS ago! (Rofellos instead of Leovold because he hadn’t been printed yet but still)
Oh i will enjoy this.
36:40: because justing controls the permanents his triggers will go on the stack after each of jons upkeep triggers have been added. Justin gets to decide in what order.
1:23:06 Justin flippin the bird to Stephen made my day lol
Bruh. none of you played Gristelbrand, that is absolute disappointment
Seriously
Guess it wasn't depraved enough
Best line in all of the video from justin: you bastard
Jeremy: Tapland
Leovold: Am I a joke to you?
People who complain that a video is too long should watch it in segments. There’s no such thing as a video too long, it’s just 3 videos in one. Maybe 5 vids for me (if it’s a 24 hour stream vod.)
I think it’s to short
*Turns left to my cat*
Why did you ask for this?
I love the amount of times Justin puts his hand in his face. Jonathan broke him for a bit 😂
I wanted this and i didnt even ask for it. Thank you now to watch the episode.
This is the BEST Commander VS video, if only because the intro before the game isn’t 25 goddamn minutes long.
“Yooouu bastard!”
Well done, Jon.
I love how some Individual cards’ power levels rise tremendously when the deck power levels are higher.
Best moment ever, lol
Rewatching it, I guess it was more of a “Ya bastard.” But in my head, it was so much more emphatic.
Genuinely made me laugh.
This episode was amazing! I was laughing so hard with all of the titans on the battlefield.
I, for one, thoroughly enjoyed this episode.
LOL at 1:23:00 that may have been the meanest, "Go ahead, Stephen" I've seen!
Yeah how was he countering spells, just by discarding artifacts????
Read Kozilek, the Great Distortion.
Thank you that was killing me lol
Thank you for suffering through the decks for our entertainment 😊
Yes!
Been watching old episodes Ive never seen, just started season 9, but found this instead :D
I loved this episode. Sounds like we need Stephen to face the last 3 banned commanders. Lolol

This was probably one of my favourite Commander VS. Hilarious outcome.
John preformed what we call a epic gamer moment
Man I low-key wanted Jon to get triple strip mined and lose to a pact trigger lmao

Did John only tap two permanents to Tangle Wire at 37:30? He taps the Mana Vault, but never paid to untap it.
Two years too late, but no he did not. He had tapped the graffdiggers cage before he had sacrificed it as they didn't know/care who got to stack the triggers.
I second what director kyle said. You guys should definitely do a revenge episode with other banned commanders VS emrakul! It would be glorious!
48:33 is the greatest play I've seen on this show I think. "Ya Bastard"
This is definitely one of my favorite episodes.
38:43 When Jeremy has to come up with a reason for losing LOL, reminds me of the last time I played against a Leovold player ;p
I like the new thumbnail, even if the poses are a little goofy, lol.
Lovely episode ! I think they should do more occasional cedh games as it has a different dynamic to the usual edh content
Suarez is at it again with the cheats @37:53. He sacked a permanent after he tapped them, which is the opposite way Justin stacked the triggers.
He also didn't discard to Anvil. Granted, it wouldn't have mattered because he cast Time Twister right after but still.....HEHEHE
how’d he untap the mana vault? 🤔
Love how Jeremy keeps with the simic+. He's a man after my own heart.
can we get this episode to have the most upvotes please? XD
Ok, I'll do my best
That was, ironically, fun. Thank you.

I’m a cedh player and I’m happy with this video
why did stephen and jeremy only tap 2 permanents while tanglewire had 3 counters on it?
48:35 into the video might be the best Commander Versus play of all time.
Justin's response was perfect haha
That was a super fun interactive game. I dont know what they were worried about. The whole "this is gonna be miserable" sentiment was super overblown. Great game, guys. #teamgreen
I like Jeremy’s pose on the thumbnail, I ready to strike a deal
hell yes best episode in a while!!!
The most ban-worthy card in this episode was Cyclonic Rift
Cyclonic Rift did almost nothing in this episode.
narvuntien Sarcasm or did you not watch the episode?
Watched because of commander's quarters, fun time in my book
I like the longer videos I never had a problem I don't like it when there short
I love the new into/thumbnails
THIS IS AWESOME THANK YOU!!!
can someone please explain what is going on - isnt Braids banned in commander?
Shame on Stevey for not striking an Emrakul pose.
Jonathan should have taken that 1 from the mana vault cos the damage triggers on the draw step, not the upkeep, it even says that on the version he's using and he read it before not taking the 1
I was just reading the comments to see if anyone else mentioned this or if I needed to. Lol.
Great video guys, last season was great, hope the next one is the same! (Justin likely does too)
I think Parnell needs a vacation. The salt levels towards the audience are on the rise.
I was so hoping John would get Ensnaring Bridge of the Whir just to tilt Stephen.
Little late to the party, but ya know, like subscribe, binge. But hey, they could do another round of this now that Lutri exists!
now that golos is banned you can make another video with banned commanders :O
