Oh, my that window box is just stunning this year. I see you added a little euphoria. Nice touch. Be careful with that by color lantana. Especially The one that is a pink and yellow. Some varieties of Lantana can get to be quite a Garden thugs! However, in your window box, it is so high in the air they will fill in nicely and become eye-catching

Hi Yuliya, Purple always seem to be in abundance at the nurseries and it is a beautiful choice. I can see how difficult it was to plant the window box but you are amazing in all you. Really liked the aerial view of your gorgeous yard. Diamond frost is a wonderful filler/spiller. Lantana really seems to shine in the hot midsummer here into the fall (zone 8B). Angelonia is my all-time favorite along with Pentas. Have you tried pentas-they have similar watering habits and light needs to angelonia. Looking forward to seeing all the beauty you create this summer. Thank you!

Love the color combinations...basically I do the same. There is not a year in my garden without Euphorbia, I have Diamond Snow in the landscape and containers this year. I started from seed Nicotiana Deep Purple Perfume (Fruition Seeds) 18-20" tall and Perfume Mix (Swallowtail Garden Seeds) 20" tall because I wanted a Nicotiana that could serve as a mid-border and border plant; both seem to tolerate heat & drought conditions as well. So far so good, will sow more for 2024 containers next year. As always, enjoy your content.

So far the growing habit of Midnight is very flat and outward for me, rather than anything upright. But, we need some HEAT (and rain) in Michigan to truly know what it will do..

Butterflies and hummingbirds love lantana. It’s a great plant for heat and humidity. I’m not a fan of the scent of the foliage. But it only bothers me when I rip them out at the end of the year. And I pronounce it the same you are.

I have lawn envy. Yours is so lush and green. No rain for a month? In Minneapolis, we get short spurts about 3 weeks apart. I was a couple hours out of town yesterday, but my neighbor said we got just a downpour for 15 min. Her rain guage had 1/10th of an inch. My new planted plants have dried up. 😢
I have been watering with a sprinkler every other day, Whew, thinking about installing irrigation 😆

I’ve struggled to keep my angelonia blooming all summer. I think the secret is to not use a nitrogen heavy fertilizer. You’ll get all foliage and no blooms. So now I’m using Jacks blossom booster. Seems to be going really well so far.
