The piece is hard but if you play it over and over it will become easy because you memorize the piece and know the notes and how to place your hands. So learning the piece first is hard because you don't have these things.

Ludovico is definitely one of the best pianist ever lived 🖤

He just uses a technique of 4 linear bass chords with a simple repeating melody and repeats the song twice, with the second time being barely different; in non vocal music, those are beginner traits, but with piano it sounds amazing. He specifically has some way of finding just the right melody to send shivers down your spine

I've been practicing this piece every night before going to sleep. It's been 2 weeks and here I am, amazed by how far I've went. I never thought I could've done the half of this fantastic music with my small experience of piano. Please play this piece, or at least try to. You will not regret it! Oh and don't give up, no matter how long it takes to play this!

Hey it’s okay!! Stretch your hands enough, give them a break and practice practice practice ^-^ I’ve been playing piano since 8 years, sometimes it’s still hard to move my hands fast to another note, but if you practice you can do anything. Good luck!!!

it's practice, I recommend you putting the video in O.5x or 0.75x at the beginning and then, when you know it like that, start Increasing the speed

I played this song for the seniors at graduation
First time playing this piece, i've heard half of it before. I'll update once I'm done :)
Edit 1: first play, I had to stop at 1:10 to adjust to the rhythm as I was missing the chords. Until then, it proved very easy
Edit 2: okay the arpeggios got overwhelming, I did the right hand without any issues, gonna attempt just the left and then put those together.
Edit 3: wow wtf the left hand requires so much stretching😭gonna slow it down and do it together
Edit 4: ok I judged too fast, the arpeggios come so naturally with the fast paced right hand, you just have to keep going.
Slow it down, learn the few quirks like the change in arpeggios, muscle memorise the right(which should just flow naturally) and you're golden. Loved learning this(played it 5 times all together), now I just gotta practise. Hope I'm thorough in a week :D

@@Emmyoreoo an arpeggio is just a broken down chord. So the three keys you play during a chord are to be individually played in succession, rather than all together at once.
This is a relatively simple song to play, just lots of memorisation and practice. Yes you hand may hurt but it feels great to play. It's great, I found, for my physiotherapy didn't right hand and it's a good warm-up song too

PrettylilSecretX Don’t change the notes, the way to get around that is to move your wrists differently. It gives you extra range. My hands are tiny as well, but that’s how I get around big gaps between notes or large arpeggios.

This song is the most beautiful and sad song I’ve ever heard I love it so much
I'm 15 and I started playing piano 3 months ago. I started playing this song 3 weeks ago and a couple of hours of work later I already play the first part of the music easily (1min30), even if I don't even know how to read notes. It seems difficult for beginners like me but it's a smart repetition of notes so it's not that hard. Ludovico Einaudi is a genius for this, I swear. Today I started the 2nd part, which requires more agility but I will do it. Hope this will help you in your learning journey, if I can do it, you too !!

Week 1:
Can play to 0:40
Week 2:
Learned part two (0:40-1:06)
Notes: still have to improve my “endurance”
Week 3:
Learned p3 (1:07-1:28)
Notes: Part 3 was somehow easier to learn despite the more difficult left hand
Right hand doesn't come as close to dying when I play part two a few times👍🏾
Week 4:
Learned p3.2 (1:28- 1:49)
Notes: I didn't manage to practice much this week so after I learned part 3.2 in like 2 days (it's pretty similar to p3) I just practiced playing the whole thing to that point.
Part 4 will be tough
Week 5:
Learned to play p4 (1:50- 1:29) in about 50% speed
Notes: Considering I could only practice half as much as planned and how difficult it looks, part 4 is relatively easy thanks to the repeating pattern. I'll keep practicing this one in week 6
Week 6:
Can play p4 in a little less than regular speed
Notes: I'll practice it while learning and practising p5
Week 7:
Typing this on Thursday, I've not been able to practice during the Christmas holidays (stayed at friends’ house) so I'll continue with p5
Week 8:
Learned to play p5 (1:30 - 2:56) quite well
Week 9 (not over):
Learned p6 (2:57 - 3:26) in like 2 hours
Week 10:
Learned the last part (3:27 - 6:06)
Sooo yeah I can finally hit the right keys for the whole song, I'll now go on to practice getting comfortable with the fast parts and improve the sound and those subtle things (while learning another piece)

When I play this song I always make sure that the chorus part for the left hand sounds a bit louder than the right. I believe the bass is supposed to be the main melody in the chorus.

You don't necessarily need big hands for this because you don't have to hold the notes
it's all about technique. doesn't matter if u have short fingers or not the technique and handling will eventually get u there

Cheap violins have bent necks always and bad tuning pegs. With piano you just sit down and everything is ready for you to play, with guitar you have to make sure its in tune.
With violin.. well..;
- Are the strings tuned? (10 minutes because theyre fucking sensitive and impact one another)
- Is there rosin on the strings?
-Is my bow tight enough?
- Position the violin on your shoulder and rest your chin and make yourself have to go to a chiropractor in 2 days
hold the bow with your fingertips in the most uncomfortable position
-“play” with enough pressure and at the right angle throughout the stroke of the bow (It changes depending on where you are on the bow)
- remember you have to play with the whole bow, oh and of course only move your right elbow nothing more
thick fingers? nah nah the neck is tiny even on the largest size. This instrument is discriminatory af
No frets so no set note places, to play a clear note you have to press down with your nail.
It was fun to shatter it, thank god it only cost £30
