To some of the commenters on here these guys don't have accessibility or the funds to do things the way we do here, they have to make do with what they have, it is amazing watching these guys work.
Yo as a Frame Technician I have the upmost respect for how these guys have to get the job done. 💪🏾💪🏾 to have to tear the entire truck down to straighten the frame is crazy!!!!
Yes the Fabrication looks all very nice and straight wait untill it is put under extreme working conditions then see how great it is. Welding this way only weakens the chassis rails and that is why you never change the heat they are fitted with. Sorry guys my opinion after 40 years in the truck Chassis industry. Aussie Bob.
Aussie Bob you would know also are the rear wheels aligned with the front even though they straightened the chassis rails especially the way they overload there trucks
At the very least they should have cut the ends of those patches at an angle to prevent stress concentration. That should give them an extra week of service life after they load the truck to three times its rated capacity lol.
The comments are hilarious... you guys are making comments like these guys have access to modern day state of the art equipment. ... watch the video and enjoy they get by with what they have... which is impressive they will survive a post-apocalyptic world and still live in peace while people in the modern day world kill and eat each other.
These guys are so skillful. Such a great team work. Great that they repair and recycle rather than throw away and get a new one. We should adapt that philosophy here in the West.
I don't know what West you are talking but in the US that repair would be unsafe so the rail would be recycled, not thrown away. Repairing is not the same as recycling, repairing that frame would put everyone at risk.
They bout the hole as scrap and will be sold as new or remanufactured so labor cost is not an issue. Of all the bad things we forget they hardly have any unemployment.
Imagine what these guys could achieve if they had a fully fitted out modern workshop ... 3:11 notice the top of their new space rocket in the background 😎😎😎
I thought most viewers would understand trucks are precious to every nation, and they do what has to be done to keep them on the road, regardless of technology People will learn and adapt to their situations.
Hammers and hydraulics, welders and wrenches, punches and pry bars. We've got the technology to get the jobs done. Add a tarp for sun protection. Perfect!
Heatin' and a beatin' truck repair service. A lot of these guys' talent revolves around a large hammer, especially when it comes to "driving" in the bolts, I'm sure the threads are only a little bit mashed. New fenders made of new not reclaimed steel! they spared no expense on this project!
I have also been trading with her, The profits are secured and over a 80% return on investment directly sent to your wallet. I made up to $70,5600 in 2months trading with her
What these men accomplish with just what they have is nothing short of IMPRESSIVE! I hope they make decent money for what they do. God bless all of you. 😊
It's interesting how progress and technology has not moved forward since independence. I have seen the same thing in West Africa. Very archaic practices. Don't get me wrong, this is not a criticism. It keeps foreign currency in the country and generates employment.
Well that was enlightening, the sides of the chassis were still twisted, no proper weld preparation, not even a sniff of a torque wrench, finished chassis not checked for squareness, parallelism. The truck went down the mountainside without the use of a road, and had been repaired before. All in all the truck's future looks very dim, especially with the poor welding. So much more but it becomes boring, however you never see the repaired items being driven in a straight line down the road, that's worrying.
Everybody can say what they want, but the fact is they work with what they have and they get it done. We take it for granted in the U.S. with all the information and tools we have.
Not making light of anyone's misfortune but that Title is priceless....Truck Chassis is Bent Due To Falling Down Mountain---that would bend it for sure.
Speaking as a retired mechanical engineer i would have prefered to replace the main chassis rails with new rather than weld up the cracks and straighten it on a hydraulic press. Most of the rest of it is just cross stays and short stiffening pieces that can better resist the twisting forces and so are likely to be ok. Other than that I'd say Hat's off to these guys for doing a great job. Incidentally using a big hammer like these guys do requires skill and practice. Thanks for the video, it's excellent.
Frankly, Drivers are likely far more plentiful than working Trucks in places like India, Pakistan or Bangladesh. Despite what seems like an incredibly labor-intensive process....the math easily works for the trucking companies
I love watching these type of videos , in the west we live in a throw away society , I much prefer to repair and reuse which when I was growing up was standard practice , now you can't buy a nut & bolt you have to buy the whole damn thing .
This is still a bodge but less so than many of these videos. Pressing the chassis is the way to take out the bend but welding it should not happen. The chassis may be ok for doing light work. That means 50% of manufacturers specifications. But this is Pakistan where double manufacturers is the go!!
You obviously don't understand that in their country they work everything to the point of destruction then repair it and start all over again. Very little gets wasted, whereas in many other countries, especially the US, if the paint gets a scratch on it, the vehicle goes to the scrappers.
A brand new truck would cost more than 3 dozen new houses in a poor village. This footage was taken in either India, Pakistan or Bangladesh... cost of labour is often less than .2 USD per hour.
This video is from Pakistan. These rebuilt trucks usually cost 1.5 -2 mil pakistani rupees which is like 5k to 7.5k USD. A brand new truck fron the big companies usually cost 20 to 30 mil Pakistani which is 75k to 100k USD.

Well said. I love watching these types of videos it’s amazing how they all work together and get the job done 👍
The work ethic of these people commands Respect!
That Bedford wrecker is an amazing piece. Super nice unit. !!!!!!!!
Yeah, I liked it right away. And not fitted out with all the usual faggy, tacky bling you see on these channels. Must be an expat brit.
I love the Bedford MK recovery truck! Great to see good old British engineering still holding up after 60-odd years in service.

This is a common repair in Pakistan. Nice work, back from the dead.
I like to watch these rebuilds because the workers do so much with so little!!!!

Of course these trucks fall apart down the line but that guarantees more work.
@PeterShaw-lb9lt No. They just bolt it all together. I've seen trucks and busses crab so badly down the road that they occupy the entire lane.

Not only the safety issue of such a repair, but the labour costs for this job would be prohibitive.
They bout the hole as scrap and will be sold as new or remanufactured so labor cost is not an issue.
Of all the bad things we forget they hardly have any unemployment.
What is different is that here in the west labor gets charged hourly while over their they pay them salary

Or those that were responsible for the state of the road in the first place!
Mission accomplished guys 👍🔥👍🔥👌👌👌👌
That small patch at 18:01, enough to repair the crack in that frame?
Due to the chassis crack from there, the complete piece has been removed and a new piece has been installed.
these are indeed amazing. Boss man got serious engineering skills.
Man these guys work in some countries we would have junked that truck. What country are these guys in? Thanks
nice job thank you i love to watch perfect ,❤
Best tool ever was holding the nail 4:46.I saw video of others holding them with there hand while someone with a massive hammer hits it..
amazing team work !!! straightening frame in cold condition worrisome, there may be cracks inside the metal.
Added to all kinds of internal stretching, tensions, you name it. And then they come here.
no problem to repair next time.
If you don’t know it is impossible, you just go ahead and do it anyway. Where can I get pair of those Elfan Safety sandals ?

Да, труженики, но в то время когда мир живет в 21 веке они живут в 19 работая за копейки и выглядя как бомжи.

These guys are true artists. If that truck was in the U.S.A., it would be at the crusher right now.
🤔
Yeah it would!
Same here in Australia. The total vehicles here for not much more than a dent.
In the U.S. we have become a throw away society.
Right where it should be for the safety of the public. The steel will be used again, it will not go to waste.
That Bedford tow truck is awesome!
Great work.
This frame will never break unless with heavy overload.
Which will soon happen.
Up and ready for another sidehilling adventure!
